A logical study of program equivalence / Une étude logique de l’équivalence de programmes

Jaber, Guilhem 11 July 2014 (has links)
Proving program equivalence for a functional language with references is a notoriously difficult problem. The goal of this thesis is to propose a logical system in which such proofs can be formalized, and in some cases inferred automatically. In the first part, a generic extension method of dependent type theory is proposed, based on a forcing interpretation seen as a presheaf translation of type theory. This extension equips type theory with guarded recursive constructions, which are subsequently used to reason on higher-order references. In the second part, we define a nominal game semantics for a language with higher-order references. It marries the categorical structure of game semantics with a trace representation of denotations of programs, which can be computed operationally and thus have good modularity properties. Using this semantics, we can prove the completeness of Kripke logical relations defined in a direct way, using guarded recursive types, without using biorthogonality. Such a direct definition requires omniscient worlds and a fine control of disclosed locations. Finally, we introduce a temporal logic which gives a framework to define these Kripke logical relations. The problem of contextual equivalence is then reduced to the satisfiability of an automatically generated formula defined in this logic, i.e. to the existence of a world validating this formula. Under some conditions, this satisfiability can be decided using a SMT solver. Completeness of our methods opens the possibility of getting decidability results of contextual equivalence for some fragments of the language, by giving an algorithm to build such worlds.

Étude de l'endommagement en fatigue d'un composite thermoplastique à fibres courtes : cas du polyamide 6,6 renforcé de fibres de verre courtes / Characterization of fatigue damage mechanisms of short fibre-reinforced thermoplastic composite material : case of short glass-fibre reinforced polyamide 6,6

Fabre, Victor 11 March 2015 (has links)
The work discussed in this thesis is a contribution to the understanding of damage mechanisms and identifying a fatigue criterion of polyamide 6,6 reinforced with 30 wt% of short glass-fibres (PA66GF30), obtained by injection molding, taking into account the effects of temperature, water content and fiber orientations induced by the process. Thus, in a first step, the characterization of the mechanical behavior of PA66GF30 for different fiber orientations, temperatures, moisture contents and strain rates, was conducted. They have highlighted the role of the polyamide matrix (PA66) in the temperature, water content and strain rate behavior dependence of PA66GF30. In this sense, Time-Temperature-Water content equivalence of mechanical behaviour of PA66 was demonstrated using master curves obtained by DMA. A new expression of the equivalent strain rate at temperature reference and a water content reference was then deduced, and it is now possible to relay the triple sensitivity to strain rate, temperature and water content in only one term. Then, a fatigue test campaign in controlled environmental conditions, allowed to study the effects of fiber orientation, temperature and water content on the fatigue behaviour of PA66GF30 specimens. The mechanical analysis of these tests has led to the identification of a fatigue life criterion, taking into account all the influencing factors. Finally, the X-ray microtomography under synchrotron beam was used to study the mechanisms in fatigue damage present in the PA66GF30, following post-mortem analysis and in-situ experiments. The analysis of these observations has shed light on the mechanisms damage and, it has been proposed a new fatigue damage scenario.

Uma introdução à Cp (X) / An introduction on Cp(X)

Maués, Bartira 13 April 2015 (has links)
In this work we study some properties of the space of continuous functions endowed with the topology of pointwise convergence. We begin by studying the space Cp(X) in general terms, verifying that the main topological properties are valid in Cp(X), using duality theorems between X and Cp(X). Next we study the relationship between the topological structure of X and the algebraic as well as topological structure of Cp(X), in which the Nagata theorem theorem is essential. We observe some properties of X, which are preserved by l-equivalence or t-equivalence, i.e., which are respectively determined either by the linear topological structure of Cp(X) or by its topological one. Finally we study in which conditions Cp(X) is a Lindelöf space. We conclude with the proof of Okunev that the Lindelöf number of Cp(X) is equal to the Lindelöf number of Cp(X)xCp(X), for strongly zero-dimensional spaces X.

Behavior analysis affords efficient techniques and procedures to form stimulus classes that originate concepts. Nevertheless, few production about concepts formation based on this perspective were achieved on Math field. The present study s goal is to investigate the effect of conditional relationship training between: fractional pictorial stimulus (group A) and numerical (group B) and, numerical (group B) and numerical (group C), both performed by means of the stimulus equivalence paradigm, concerning formation of equivalence classes with fractional stimulus, generalization of responses to new situations and the expansion of the formed classes after the training among members of group A and a new group of numerical stimulus (D). Three experiments were conducted with an amount of 90 children enrolled in State educational system in Goiania and Trindade cities, falling into both genres whose ages range from 11 to 14 years old. The participants, divided in experimental and control groups, were initially submitted to a pencil and paper evaluation about fractional problems (IE) expressed in absolute and relative way. In the first experiment, one group was exposed only to the training with programmed instructions about fractional problem resolutions (PIG), another one only to conditional relationship training (EQG) and a third one to both trainings (EQPIG). In experiment 2, one group handled concrete material presented in form of fraction (CMG), another one went through the training of the two conditions (CMGEQ). In experiment 3, one group trained conditional relationships with fractional stimulus (EQG), another one went through the training of compounding (copying) fractions from models visually presented and conditional relationship tests (EQCTG) and to a third group was asked the exposition of the strategies adopted to solve problems during the trainings and conditional relationship tests (GEQR). At the end of the procedures all of them went through a final evaluation (FE) identical to the initial evaluation (IE). The control participants took only the initial and final evaluations. The results show that participants presented difficulty to solve problems expressed in relative way. Generally, all the participants of the experimental groups of the three experiments formed three fractional stimulus classes (ABC), however there was no expansion of these classes after the training between one of its members and a new stimulus. The highest generalization indexes occurred in the first programmed test and decreased in the second evaluation. Only participants of experimental groups presented systematic gains from IE to FE, considering that the highest performances to problems with fractions occurred to participants in EQPIG group.

Passage d’un modèle d’endommagement continu régularisé à un modèle de fissuration cohésive dans le cadre de la rupture quasi-fragile / Transition from a nonlocal damage model to a cohesive zone model within the framework of quasi-brittle failure

Cuvilliez, Sam 01 February 2012 (has links)
The present work deals with the study and the improvement of regularized (non local) damage models. It aims to study the transition from a continuous damage field distributed on a structure to a discontinuous macroscopic failure model.First, an analytical one-dimensional study is carried out (on a bar submitted to tensile loading) in order to identify a set of interface laws that enable to switch from an inhomogeneous solution obtained with a continuous gradient damage model to a cohesive zone model. This continuous / discontinuous transition is constructed so that the energetic equivalence between both models remains ensured whatever the damage level reached when switching. This strategy is then extended to the bi-dimensional (and tri-dimensional) case of rectilinear (and plane) crack propagation under mode I loading conditions, in a finite element framework. An explicit approach based on a critical damage criterion that allows coupling both continuous and discontinuous approaches is then proposed. Finally, results of several simulations led with this coupled approach are presented.

Approche algébrique sur l'équivalence de codes. / Algebraic Approach for Code Equivalence

Saeed, Mohamed Ahmed 18 December 2017 (has links)
That is due to its significance in classification of codes and also construction and cryptanalysis of code based cryptosystems. It is also related to the long standing problem of graph isomorphism, a well-known problem in the world of complexity theory. We introduce new method for solving code equivalence problem. We develop algebraic approaches to solve the problem in its permutation and diagonal versions. We build algebraic system by establishing relations between generator matrices and parity check matrices of the equivalent codes. We end up with system of multivariables of linear and quadratic equations which can be solved using algebraic tools such as Groebner basis and related techniques. By using Groebner basis techniques we can solve the code equivalence but the computation becomes complex as the length of the code increases. We introduced several improvements such as block linearization and Frobenius action. Using these techniques we identify many cases where permutation equivalence problem can be solved efficiently. Our method for diagonal equivalence solves the problem efficiently in small fields, namely F3 and F4. The increase in the field size results in an increase in the number of variables in our algebraic system which makes it difficult to solve. We introduce a new reduction from permutation code equivalence when the hull is trivial to graph isomorphism. This shows that this subclass of permutation equivalence is not harder than graph isomorphism.Using this reduction we obtain an algebraic system for graph isomorphism with interesting properties in terms of the rank of the linear part and the number of variables. We solve the graph isomorphism problem efficiently for random graphs with large number of vertices and also for some regular graphs such as Petersen, Cubical and Wagner Graphs.

Definovatelne grafy / Definable graphs

Grebík, Jan January 2020 (has links)
In this thesis we consider various questions and problems about graphs that appear in the framework of descriptive set theory. The main object of study are graphons, graphings and variations of the graph G0. We establish an approach to the compactness of the graphon space via the weak* topology and introduce the notion of a fractional isomorphism for graphons. We use a variant of the G0-dichotomy in the context of the classification problem. Finally, we show a measurable version of the Vizing's theorem for graphings. 1
