Summary Distant Learning (DL) in Lithuania is rapidly developing, various Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) emerge. The most popular of them are WebCT, Moodle, Atutor. Therefore I have decided to analyse Moodle Virtual Learning Environment as it is widely used by many institutions of high and secondary education. Purpose of the paper To analyse the tools of virtual learning environments, in order to select those that could be added to Moodle environment and help achieve efficient usage of Moodle in creating and providing DL courses. Objectives: a) Analyse the concept and functions of VLE. b) Provide general analysis of VLE. c) Provide a comparative analysis of Moodle, File3, WebCT environments. d) Determine which functions should be added to VLE Moodle. e) Integrate the selected tools to Moodle environment. f) Prepare methodical material of Moodle environment for teachers and students. Methods of the study: a) Search and systemization of information. b) Analysis and generalization of scientific and informational material. c) Data processing. d) Comparative data analysis. Darbe nagrinėjamos Lietuvos aukštojo mokslo institucijose naudojamos nuotolinio mokymo(si) (NM) kursų kūrimo sistemos ir jų technologiniai aspektai, galimos perspektyvos bei naujų technologinių idėjų, siekiant efektyvesnio kursų kūrimo sistemų panaudojimo įgyvendinant specifinius besimokančiųjų poreikius, realizacijos galimybės. Darbe supažindinama kas tai yra NM kursų rengimo sistema, kuri leidžia sukurti ir studijuoti mokymosi medžiagą, tokiu laiku ir tokia sparta, kurie besimokančiajam yra patogūs ir atitinka jo galimybes ir poreikius. Aptariama, kokios atsiveria naujos edukacinės galimybės, įvaldžius tam tikros kursų kūrimo sistemos įrankius. Darbe išsamiai apžvelgiamos priemonės, naudojamos NM kursų kūrime. / This work will present the analysis of Distance Education (DE) course development systems used in Lithuania and their technological aspects, as well as possible perspectives of realization of new ideas. The first chapter includes definition of DE course development system, which comprises the system that allows development of learning material, participation in learning process and study the material within the preferred time, pace and place that suite the needs of individual learners‘ needs and expectations. New possibilities that are opened with the help of course development systems are also discussed. It is worth noticing that DE is the prioritable development area in Education system in every country. Four main tools will be presented in this work, which are the key tools for DE course development. The second chapter deals with the course development system technological aspects, shortcomings and possibilities. Two types of criteria – educational and technological – are emphasized, and course development systems are analyzed and compared on the basis of these criteria groups.

Pagrindinis šio darbo tikslas buvo suprasti kas yra vaizdo konferencijos, kokios yra naudojamos technologijos interaktyviam bendravimui, išsiaiškinti kokios yra didžiausios kompanijos vaizdo konferencijų sprendimų rinkoje ir kokius produktus jie siūlo, suvokti kokie protokolai ir standartai yra naudojami vaizdo konferencijų transliavimui, pristatyti kaip skirtingos vaizdo konferencijų sistemos iš skirtingų gamintojų gali komunikuoti viena su kita. Šio vaizdo konferencijų naudojimo galimybių tyrimo pabaigoje galima rasti vaizdo konferencijų infrastruktūros rekomendacijas skirtingoms vartotojų grupėms (namų vartotojai, mokyklos, nuotolinio mokymo klasės, nuotolinio mokymo centrai), kurios buvo suskirstytos pagal savo dydį ir poreikius. Taip pat gale yra pateikiamos darbo išvados. / The main goal of this paper was to understand what is video conference, what technologies are used for interactive communications, to find out which companies are the biggest players in videoconferencing solutions market and what products they are offering, to realize what protocols and standards are used in videoconferencing, to introduce how videoconferencing systems from different vendors can communicate with each other. In the in the end of this research of opportunities of using video conferences you can find recommendations for video conference infrastructure for different users groups (home users, schools, distance learning class, distance learning center) which were distributed by their size and needs. Daugialypės terpės sąvoka yra plačiai paplitusi šiuolaikinėse informacinėse technologijose. Norėdami vaizdžiai ir aiškiai papasakoti apie vieną ar kitą dalyką, mes noriai naudojame multimedijos elementus. Ši sąvoka, ko gero, yra neatsiejama nuo interneto apibrėžimo. Vis dažniau ir efektyviau daugialypės terpės priemonės naudojamos tradiciniame mokyme. Iš viso aukščiau paminėto akivaizdu, kad nuotolinis mokymas tikrai neapseitų be įvairialypės terpės. Mes naudojame multimedijos elementus: pavyzdžiui kai paspaudžiame nuorodą, skaitome tekstą arba žiūrime į paveikslėlį. Multimedija – tai nuostabi priemonė perteikti įvairią informaciją besimokančiajam: būtų tai garsas ar vaizdas, atmosfera ar nuotaika. Panaudojimo ribų nėra. Tačiau iškyla klausimas - ar visada mes išnaudojame daugialypės informacijos privalumus? Ar nepiktnaudžiaujame multimedijos elementais? Ar visada daugialypė terpė atneša naudą? Į visus šiuos bei daugybę kitų klausimų bus stengiamasi atsakyti šiame darbe. Teiginiai ir hipotezės bus įrodomi ir tikrinami praktikoje. Tam bus sukurta virtuali mokymosi terpė, atitinkanti iškeltus reikalavimus. Tiriamojo darbo objektas: daugialypė terpė nuotolinėse studijose. Darbo tikslas: išanalizuoti daugialypės terpės naudojimo galimybes nuotolinėse studijose ir sukurti virtualią mokymo aplinką daugialypės terpės panaudojimo demonstravimui ir palyginimui. / The concept of multimedia is widely widespread in modern information technologies. To tell evidently and clearly about one or the other thing, we are using the elements of multimedia. It is a concept, apparently, indivisibly with a term the Internet. Multimedia is often using in traditional education. So it means, that teaching in distance cannot be using without multimedia. Even when we do not suspect, we are using elements of multimedia, for example: when we press the hyperlink, read the text or look at a picture. Multimedia is an excellent way to transfer various information to the student: the sound, an image or the mood. There is no limit for using it. But the question is: are we always using advantages of the multimedia information? Is the using of multimedia is useful? I will try to answer to these and to the other questions in my job. Statements and hypotheses will be proved and checked up in practice. The virtual learning environment system, which responds the request, will be created for this purpose. Object of research: multimedia in distance education. The purpose of work: to analyze use of multimedia in distance education and to create a virtual learning system for comparison and demonstrations of Multimedia.

Magistro baigiamajame darbe nagrinėjamos nuotolinio mokymo technologijos ir jų taikymas bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų neformaliajame ugdyme. Panaudojus sukauptą patirtį ir pritaikius įgytas žinias, parengiau programinę įrangą tinkančią naudoti bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų neformaliojo ugdymo informacinių technologijų užsiėmimams organizuoti. Naudojant parengtą programinę įrangą yra galimybė sudominti mokinius savo krašte esančiais kultūros objektais ir jiems patiems leisti skleisti Pasauliui apie savo krašto paveldo objektus, fotografijas ir video siužetus. / The master's degree work makes the research of the technologies of distance learning in the field of non-formal education at general education schools. On the base of the gained personal experience and knowledge the programme software for computer activities has been successfully created and used to organize non-formal education at general education schools. This software gives a lot of opportunities to make students getting more interested in the cultural heritage of their native land and helps to spread information over the world.

Darbe atlikta užimtumo vaidmens neįgaliųjų socialinės integracijos procese analizė ir neįgaliųjų integracijos į darbo rinką naudojantis informacinėmis ir ryšių technologijomis galimybių analizė, apibūdintos pagrindinės neįgaliųjų profesinės reabilitacijos ir įdarbinimo problemos, nurodoma ypatinga užimtumo kokybės reikšmė neįgaliesiems. Neįgaliųjų užimtumas susietas su šalies socialinių ir užimtumo kokybės modeliu. Darbo tikslas – išnagrinėjus neįgaliųjų užimtumo bei nuotolinio darbo būklę ir galimybes, sukurti Lietuvos neįgaliųjų nuotolinio darbo organizavimo modelį, pasiūlyti jo diegimo būdus, įvertinti neįgaliųjų užimtumo kokybę. Lietuvos neįgaliųjų profesinės reabilitacijos ir įdarbinimo sistemos ekspertinė analizė atskleidė šios sistemos trūkumus bei leido nustatyti reikiamus pakeitimus, kurie sudarys sąlygas tobulinti šią sistemą ir kurti bendrą neįgaliųjų nuotolinio darbo sistemą. Autorės sukurtas neįgaliųjų nuotolinio darbo modelis tinka dabartinei neįgaliųjų profesinės reabilitacijos ir įdarbinimo sistemai tobulinti. Disabled persons’ employment is connected with social and employment quality model of state. The purpose of research is analysing opportunities and condition of disabled persons’ employment and telework to create organisational model of disabled persons’ telework, to suggest opportunities of its implementation, to evaluate disabled persons’ employment quality. Magistriniu darbu „Daugiakalbystės galimybių realizavimo MOODLE aplinkoje modeliavimas“ buvo siekiama sukurti daugiakalbystės realizavimo modelius virtualiai mokymosi aplinkai (toliau – VMA) Moodle. Daugiakalbystė yra vienas iš svarbiausių prioritetų, renkantis virtualią mokymosi aplinką tarptautiniam bendradarbiavimui. Šiame darbe yra nagrinėjamos virtualios mokymosi aplinkos Moodle 2.3 daugiakalbystės realizavimo galimybės. Daugiakalbystės realizavimas nėra apibrėžtas Moodle aplinkos dokumentacijoje, todėl bus aptariami svarbiausi jo realizavimo modeliai. Aptariami Moodle 2.3 aplinkos kalbų pritaikymo būdai, vartotojų galimybės kiekvienu realizavimo atveju. Sukurti du daugiakalbystės realizavimo būdai. Pirmasis nereikalauja programavimo žinių, modeliu gali naudoti ir paprasti vartotojai. Antrajam daugiakalbystės įgyvendinimo būdui buvo sukurtas atskiras modulis skirtas Moodle 2.3 versijai. / The goal of Master thesis „The modeling of the multilingualism capabilities in Moodle“ is to create a multilingual realization models for virtual learning environment (hereinafter - VLE) Moodle. Multilingualism is a top priority when choosing a virtual learning environment in order to implement international cooperation. Possibilities of multilingualism realization in virtual learning environment Moodle 2.3 are analyzed in this thesis. The realization of multilingualism is not defined in Moodle documentation thus the most important models of its realization will discussed. The application techniques of languages in Moodle 2.3 environment will be discussed, as well as consumer outlets in each case. Two methods of realization of multilingualism have been designed. The first one does not require knowledge of programming and the model can be used by ordinary users. The second method of implementing multilingualism has been developed in a separate module for Moodle 2.3 version.

More detail, nowadays staff in every company and institution must not even ensure high level of their qualification but improve their professional skills all the time in order to maintain a working position. In the final thesis needs and qualification support options of refresher courses participants are analyzed and presented as well as measures and benefits of sharing experience and knowledge are evaluated. Moreover, Distance Learning Support System model based on inter-cooperation is introduced as a basis of creation and testing the Distance Learning Support System of computer literacy issues. Šis darbas analizuoja LEGO Mindsorms NXT 1.0 roboto konstrukciją bei jo nuotolinio valdymo galimybes. Robotas gali būti valdomas per Bluetooth bevielį ryšį, taigi valdymui bus naudojamas išmanusis telofonas su Android operacine sistema. Telefonas suteikia daug valdymo galimybių, tokių kaip liečiamas ekranas, kelių programų vykdymas vienu metu ir Bluetooth bevielis ryšys. Valdymo programa parašyta Java programavimo kalba. Ji leis valdyti visus tris roboto varikliukus (du iš jų naudojami roboto judėjimui, o trečias mechaninei rankai valdyti). Robotas turi keturis aplinkos jutiklius: lietimo, garso, šviesos ir atstumo. Sukurta programa leis gauti jutiklių duomnenis ir atvaizduoti juos ekrane: mygtuko būseną, garsą decibelais, šviesumą procentais ir atstumą centimetrais. Trečioji programos funkcija leis vykdyti programas, kurios įrašytos robote. / This work analyses LEGO Mindsorms NXT 1.0 robot construction and remote controlling possibilities. The robot can be controlled via Bluetooth wireless connection therefore we use smart phone with Android operating system as controlling device. It gives wide range of controlling opportunities including touch screen, multitasking and Bluetooth wireless connection. The controlling software is written in Java programming language. It allows controlling all tree servomotors (two of them will be uses for moving the robot and the third one “hand” actions). Robot has four environment sensors: touch, sound, light and distance. Created Android application allows reading data from it and to display it on screen: touch as action, sound in dB, light intensity in %, and distance in cm. The third function of created software is ability to run preinstalled programs within the robot.
