Nové směry v přístupu ke strategii v německých slévárnách litiny / New Trends of Strategy Conceptions in Germany Iron Foundries

Kupec, Olga January 2009 (has links)
Doctoral dissertation work that results from the new management theory has explored in both theory and practice new directions in approach to the strategy in German iron-foundries. It has explained the reasons that lead to structural changes, made the foundation for decision process, described the problems that occur when put in practice and suggested their resolution. Further on, it was explored and critically evaluated which competitive advantages these strategy directions contributed to and consequently discussed the superior aim of strategy. It has resulted from the empirical research that the German iron-foundries have been strongly influenced especially by new information technologies and car industry and its strategies. The most significant trend of iron-foundries is the focus on the key branch of activity. Cooperation and innovative strategy represent the complementary strategy to the primary strategy and enable to merge the comprehensive requirements of customers with the needed specialization and hereby retain their competitiveness. The research respecting the global economic crisis in the car industry shows that German iron-foundries have to re-evaluate their actual strategies and convert the growth to stability and long lasting development.

Šíření inovací v medicínském prostředí: Meta - analýza případových studií / Diffusion of innovations in medical setting: A meta - analysis of Case studies.

Řepíková, Anna January 2013 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Diffusion of innovations in medical setting: A Meta-analysis of case studies" deals with contemporary shape of empirical diffusion research in public health and medical sociology field. By means of meta-analysis based on 23 case studies that was targeted on chosen aspects of investigation within the diffusion of innovations topic, on whole design of the research and on particular methodological procedures we arrived to wide thematic scope of these studies and their significant heterogeneity regarding methodological aspects. This fact testifies the large amount of possibilities that diffusion studies provide, even in such narrowed research area. Meta-analytical findings and studies divided into several typologies were then compared with an older study, where a pragmatic orientation of newer studies on a specific aspect of the whole process and practical task that needs to be solved, turned up. The sociological micro-theories making is then overshadowed by dealing with the actual field problems acute even more in the field of medicine. The communication processes at the level of interpersonal communication (that are, according to the generally accepted definition of diffusion of innovation, principal for the diffusive mechanism) as a dominant object of examination almost faded out....

Rozdělení extrémních hodnot a jejich aplikace / Extreme Value Distributions with Applications

Fusek, Michal January 2013 (has links)
The thesis is focused on extreme value distributions and their applications. Firstly, basics of the extreme value theory for one-dimensional observations are summarized. Using the limit theorem for distribution of maximum, three extreme value distributions (Gumbel, Fréchet, Weibull) are introduced and their domains of attraction are described. Two models for parametric functions estimation based on the generalized extreme value distribution (block maxima model) and the generalized Pareto distribution (threshold model) are introduced. Parameters estimates of these distributions are derived using the method of maximum likelihood and the probability weighted moment method. Described methods are used for analysis of the rainfall data in the Brno Region. Further attention is paid to Gumbel class of distributions, which is frequently used in practice. Methods for statistical inference of multiply left-censored samples from exponential and Weibull distribution considering the type I censoring are developed and subsequently used in the analysis of synthetic musk compounds concentrations. The last part of the thesis deals with the extreme value theory for two-dimensional observations. Demonstrational software for the extreme value distributions was developed as a part of this thesis.

Chinese neocolonialism : A comparative study of Chinese expansionism through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka

Jimeno Bennassar, Mario January 2023 (has links)
In the context of Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, this paper provides a comparative analysis of China's neocolonialism and smart power strategies through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The study analyzes the economic, political, and social consequences of China's growing presence in these nations and offers a deeper comprehension of their position in the region by drawing on a wide range of theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence. The research starts out by examining the idea of neocolonialism and how it relates to China's involvement in the area. It explores into a critical analysis of China's debt-trap diplomacy, which raised concerns regarding the BRI projects' long-term economic viability and political influence. The paper also looks into how China uses smart power as a strategic tool to expand its influence in the region, emphasizing on smart power programs, economic development, and cultural diplomacy.

Přínos odborné praxe pro absolventy oboru Ochrana veřejného zdraví na Zdravotně sociální fakultě Jihočeské univerzity v Českých Budějovicích / Benefits of professional practice for graduates in subject of Public Health Protection at Faculty of Health and Social Studies of University of South Bohemia

HARTMANOVÁ, Lenka January 2011 (has links)
The main objective of the thesis called: "Benefits of professional practice for graduates in subject of Public Health Protection at Faculty of Health and Social Studies of University of South Bohemia", was to monitor graduates´ views of quality and benefits of professional practice in this field. As a partial objective I decided to find out whether the practice experience met the expectations of graduates. I set three research hypotheses. The first hypothesis says, the graduates in subject of Public Health Protection rate professional practice as beneficial. The second hypothesis says, the graduates in subject of Public Health Protection rate the professional practice as good. The third and last research hypothesis says, the professional practice met the graduates? expectations. First two hypotheses were fully proved, the third hypothesis was proved only from 50%. My thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The chapter "Current State" was worked out by the method of secondary data analysis. I tried to summarize different fields and issues and to explain concepts related to the study and practice of students. The quantitative method was applied to process empirical research. The method of a questionnaire was applied to gather data. The questionnaire was compiled only for the purpose of this research and has 45 questions. There are closed, open and semi-closed questions in the questionnaire. The research sample consists of graduates in subject of Public Health Protection at Faculty of Health and Social Studies in České Budějovice. The data were gathered from November 2010 till March 2011. Survey was voluntary and anonymous. The questionnaires were distributed to 125 graduates in Public Health Protection via the Internet. The resulting research file consists of 72 respondents (100%). Until now, no literature that would examine this issue has been published. Therefore, the findings are unlikely to confront. This thesis might be a valuable feedback providing matter-of-fact and specific comments of graduates. I hope, this research will be inspiration for improvement of both professional practice and tuition.
