Rodgers, Carrie Anne 01 January 2000 (has links)
Job seekers have often made job choices based upon the degree to which they fit the tasks requirements of the job. This concept is referred to as person-job (P-J) fit. In addition, research has suggested that job seekers self-select organizations to work for based upon the perceived fit between themselves and the organization. Aktivitet och delaktighet i vardagen hos asylsökande och flyktingar - En scoping review / Activity and participation in everyday life among asylum seekers and refugees – A scoping review

Rydell Lehto, Julia, Johansson, Nathalie January 2023 (has links)
Sökord som användes var refugee or refugees or asylum seeker or asylum seekers or forced migrant or forced migrants or displaced, occupational participation or occupational engagement or participation, activity or occupation. / Introduction: Year 2022, around 100 million people were estimated to be on the run. Asylum seekers and refugees who are forced to flee their home country may have been exposed to traumatic events. The flights results in lifestyle changes that affect the individual’s activity, identity, sense of capacity, health and well-being.  Aim: Describe activity and participation in everyday life of asylum seekers and refugees. Method: A scoping review was used. Data collection was carried out through literature search in databases and by manual search. Keywords used were refugee or refugees or asylum seeker or asylum seekers or forced migrant or forced migrants or displaced, occupational participation or occupational engagement or participation, activity or occupation. Inclusion criteria were articles in Swedish and English, published 2010 – 2023. Grey literature and other literature reviews were excluded. A total of 17 articles were included. Results: The study resulted in two main categories: Asylum seekers and refugees activity identity and The importance of contexts for activity and participation. An overarching theme emerged: Uncertainty about the future. The results indicate that asylum seekers and refugees are exposed to activity deprivation, activity imbalance and changes in the individual’s activity identity and ability. The individual’s activity and participation are influenced by contextual factors. Conclusions: Asylum seekers and refugees are limited in their activity and participation in everyday life. The result indicates that participation in and opportunity to meaningful and necessary activities is important for health and well-being.

Aktivitetsmönster och upplevd aktivitetsbalans hos individer över 70 år efter införandet av Folkhälsomyndighetens rekommendationer om begränsad social kontakt / Patterns of daily occupations and perceived occupational balance in individuals over 70 years after the introduction of the Public Health Agency's recommendations on limited social contact

Sigfridsson, Sofia, Vidal, Johanna January 2021 (has links)
Aim: To describe patterns of daily occupations and experience of occupational balance in individuals over 70 years of age after the introduction of the Public Health Agency of Sweden's recommendations on limited social contact in connection with the covid-19-pandemic. Method: Through a qualitative inductive approach with a strategically planned selection, 17 semi-structured interviews were conducted. Data was analyzed through a qualitative content analysis to discover patterns and experiences of existence in the participants stories. Results: Participants described that there have been both difficulties and opportunities for how they could adapt and find new ways to perform activities. With fewer activities and more time at their disposal, the participants became eager to come to terms with and perform activities that felt meaningful in order to find balance in everyday life. Patterns of daily occupations have taken on new forms as activities have changed and/or disappeared, after which the participants adapted to the new conditions and the activities with them. The results highlight how the occupational balance has been affected when activities have changed or disappeared, that participants have been challenged to find strategies to find meaningful occupation in the new everyday life. Conclusion:The study showed that participation in occupation is related to well-being and the importance of accessibility. Increased knowledge can provide insight into what maintains balance, how accessibility can increase and what support occupational therapists and society can provide.

Erfarenheter av dagliga aktiviteter under tillfrisknande från beroendesjukdom : En systematisk litteraturöversikt / Experiences of daily living during recovery from substance use disorder : A systematic literature review

Karlin, Emmy January 2024 (has links)
Abstract The aim for this study was to synthesize adults´ experiences of daily activities during recovery from substance use disorder. Method: A systematic literature review was conducted, where a search in CINAHL, PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science resulted in 11 articles that were reviewed and analyzed through thematic analysis. Result consisted of two interpretive themes: “The recovery process involves challenges and losses in daily activities, which can hinder engagement and lead to relapse” and “Daily activities have both a supporting and developing function in recovery, where activity patterns and engagement changes over time” and five descriptive themes. Conclusion: There are several barriers to activity engagement during recovery. Difficulties in managing everyday life as well as a lack of meaningful activities risk resulting in poorer health and relapse. The daily activities are of great importance for recovery from addiction disease by providing structure, new contexts, goals and meaningfulness. Further research is recommended to examine experiences in a Swedish context and based on the results it is also suggested that existing occupational therapy group interventions are tested and developed to fit the needs of people with addiction disease.

Adriaanse, J. L. 30 November 2007 (has links)
This research aims to attain insight into the role a person's processing style (process) have on decision-making from a career developmental and gestalt perspective because it appears as if the adolescent's proses with regard to career choice is not being acknowledged. Semi-structured interviews were used to generate data from which coded themes were identified. These coded themes served as the core research of this study. The subjective experience of respondents' career development are presented, supported by a literature control. From this research it is clear that the adolescent's process is dynamic with regard to field and phenomenology and that structures such as family and school plays an important career developmental role as environmental influences. Intra psychic constructs such as introjects, assimilation and process play an important role in decision-making. / Sociology / M. Diac. (Play Therapy)
