Jämförelse av olika mängdavtagningsmetoder / Comparison of different quantity takeoff methods

Yusuf, Adan, Miakhil, Ahmad January 2017 (has links)
BIM stands for Building Information Modeling. This means that you have a common buildingmodel that contains information relevant to all members of the building process . Thedifference between a 3D and BIM model is in addition to visualization that you have access tomore dimensions such as time and cost. This leads to greater clarity for all members during abuilding's life cycle. IFC for mat is a neutral file format that facilitates information exchangebetween different BIM tools. IFC format has been developed by the construction industry andis not owned by any supplier. VDC, which stands for Virtual Design Construction, is NCC's way ofworking on projectslinked to BIM. VDC provides the opportunity to provide the user with updated information tounderstand the customer's wishes and how to impleme nt it. A part of this work includesinvestigating new methods of quantity takeoff and comparing them. The purpose of the thesis work was to compare 4 different methods ofquantity takeoff basedon time and quality. The 4 different methods were Vico Office, Solibri, Bluebeam and thetraditional quantity takeoff by hand (manual) manual). The quantity take off was limited only to theamount of non bearing inner walls in the project. Vico Office, Solibri, Bluebeam andquantity takeoff by hand are the 4 methods reviewed. Thebasis for the quantity take off has been an IFC file and 2D drawings. From the IFC file, takeoffwas made in Vico Office and Solibri. The 2D drawings were used to obtain quantities fromBluebeam and by hand. The quantity take off results in a comparison of the quantities that wasreceived . Summary of quantities has been carried out in Excel. Thequantities has been collected from Kvarteret Pedagogen which is a new construction ofmulti family houses in Karslundsskogen . It consists of 3 houses with 55 apartments on 5floors. Building start was 2015 an d today the project is complete. The result showed significant differences between the four meth ods. The results showed thatSolibri Model Checker is the software that is best suited for quantity takeoff when consideringtime and quantity. It was also the most user friendly of the 4 methods.

Power quality simulator for commercial office buildings

Atluri, Prabha Krishna 16 July 1999 (has links)
The distortions of input voltage and current waveforms generated by switch mode power supply (SMPS) operation are a major cause of concern in the power quality performance of commercial office buildings. These distortions are usually evaluated by performing a site survey of the building. In this thesis, a power quality simulator is proposed as an alternative method to site surveys in evaluating the power quality characteristics of such nonlinear loads in a commercial environment. The power quality simulator is built around the assumption that the total load kVA on each phase of the three-phase four-wire distribution system can be approximated. The proposed simulator is tested on two commercial office buildings, namely the Owen Hall and Dearborn Hall buildings of Oregon State University. Experimental time-domain and frequency-domain waveforms are presented. These are compared with the simulation results to prove the viability of the power quality simulator in determining the power quality characteristics of the building. Finally, a passive filtering technique was simulated to reduce the harmonic distortions in voltages and currents to further demonstrate the potential uses of the power quality simulator. / Graduation date: 2000

Supporting Organizational Problem Solving with a Workstation

Barber, Gerald 01 July 1982 (has links)
This paper describes an approach to supporting work in the office. Using and extending ideas from the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) we describe office work as a problem solving activity. A knowledge embedding language called Omega is used to embed knowledge of the organization into an office worker's workstation in order to support the office worker in his or her problem solving. A particular approach to reasoning about change and contradiction is discussed. This approach uses Omega's viewpoint mechanism. Omega's viewpoint mechanism is a general contradiction handling facility. Unlike other Knowledge Representation systems, when a contradiction is reached the reasons for the contradiction can be analyzed by the deduction mechanism without having to resort to a backtracking mechanism. The Viewpoint mechanism is the heart of the Problem Solving Support Paradigm. This paradigm supplements the classical AI view of problem solving. Office workers are supported using the Problem Solving Support Paradigm. An example is presented where Omega's facilities are used to support an office worker's problem solving activities. The example illustrates the use of viewpoints and of Omega's capabilities to reason about it's own reasoning process.

A study of the Relationship between Organizational Change and Job Stress : The Case of Dong-Gang Household Registration Office,Pingtung County

Liou, Ying-Ru 07 August 2012 (has links)
Despite the launching of e-service by household registration offices, there have been few studies and examples associated with the organization streamlining. This study constructs a research framework for changes in Taiwan¡¦s first household registration office organization structure resulting from township/city consolidation, as well as the resulting work stress, and explores the correlation between members¡¦ cognition concerning their organization¡¦s merger and their work stress after the merger with organizations possessing similar functions. This study is a qualitative research, in which the staff members of Donggang Household Registration Office, Pingtung County, are taken as the subjects for in-depth interviews. Interview data analysis and research hypothesis are employed for verification. This case study focuses on structural change. An examination of the potential stress factors after organization structure change finds that, after the merger, the staff members did not have to learn new skills, nor were their work routines or workplace locations changed, in adapting to the new organization. Only high-level supervisors were impacted because fewer of them were needed after the merger. Accordingly, the merger of household registration offices with similar functions did not have a significant effect on work stress for most staff members.

A Research on Project Office Operation Model-Take the CRM Project in Electronic Company A as an Example

Lin, Wen-Chieh 03 September 2004 (has links)
The world famous marketing master Elliott Ettenberg indicated in his new book ¡§ The Next Economy¡¨(2003), customer has become corporate main focus in new economy era. Increasing product added value and improving customer relations have been corporate prime objective. This has been obvious in Taiwan industry. With dramatic environment changes and aggressive market competition, performance improvement and sales team enhancement have been one of the most important topics in business administration. For electronic companies aiming to enter global market, an operation flow of quickly responding to market demand and customer satisfaction, especially in order taking, design and development, manufacturing, quality assurance, testing, packing, transportation, price and service, has been a major subject to be tackled under global competition and rapidly changing business environment. For a long time, many companies face the problem of numerous functional departments not being able to integrate, thus, customers are obliged to receive various and fragmental message. Functional departments often got shortcomings such as limited knowledge, incomprehensive thoughts and even departmental egoism. They normally don¡¦t emphasize on teamwork with other departments and are not able to provide valuable opinions. Their decision perspectives would be restricted, instead of being comprehensive. In addition, organization hierarchy often results in slow problem-solving responses. They also lack of customer-oriented concepts. Their staff is more loyal to the department than to projects or customers. One of the effective and often seen solutions is to set up a cross-product or cross-functional account team. For efficient operation of such project organization, some companies would set up a project office to assist or monitor the progress of projects. Project management is one of the rapidly growing territories in business administration. Through in-depth interviews and literature retrospective study, this research attempts to understand the operation model of project office in view of customer and service orientation; via empirical observations, interviews and analysis of subject project office real operation, the research tempts to tackle major issues on project office operation. From a broad view, the management of a project office is part of project management, but its characteristics and management model is different from project deployment. This research expects to establish an operation and management model of project office and provide appropriate recommendations as reference to its practical operation.
