Aktivitetsbaserade kommuner : nödvändighet eller fluga? / Activity based workplace for municipalities : necessity or trend?

Johansson, Emma January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of the study was to create an understanding of the factors and motives behind the municipal transition from cellular offices to an activity based workplace. To see what influenced the decision about the transition and to see how the municipalities proceeded in the process of the new form of office.

Aktivitetsbaserade kontor : Cellkontorets utmanare? / The activity-based office : The cellular office challenger?

Cedemar, Jacob, Vagman, Oscar January 2018 (has links)
Introduction: The activity-based office has had a breakthrough in the past few years. One of the reasons for this is that the technology now allows it to work properly. The concept is a type of open landscaped office that put its main focus on the design of the physical work environment. The office is divided in different areas with the purpose to match employees’ different tasks. There is still not much research done on the new concept and the research that has been carried out has been carried out in connection with the move or a maximum of 15 months after the move to the new office. Purpose: The study aimed at comparing employees' perceived perception of the classic office and the activity-based office abilities with regard to leadership, health, productivity and the social work environment. The essay also concerns how well designed the activity-based office layout is. Method: The study was a quantitative survey and the data was collected through a web survey. The web survey consisted of 25 questions relating to the categories of social, leadership, health, productivity and office layout. Analysis: The data was analyzed by generation of mean values for each category, broken down by gender, age, time in activity-based office and the total from every respondent. The data was also analyzed by a correlation analysis. Results: According to the results that was collected, the activity-based office had a overbalanced positive experience than the classical office in each category investigated, except the category regarding health. Conclusions: Based on the results, it can be noted that an activity-based office towards a classic office provides a higher value for employees in social, leadership, productivity and design. In health, however, it gives a lower value, which shows that employees had better health in the classical office. The results show that the survey can confirm what previous research has said. However, the result can not be generalized on an entire population as the number of respondents and variations was too small. To be able to generalize the results further research must be done.

Vývoj nové výstavby kancelářských prostor v Praze po roce 1989 / The office spaces development in Prague after 1989

Císař, Milan January 2006 (has links)
In the nineties of the twentieth century the Prague office space market looked totally different from its current situation. The demand significantly exceeded the supply on the market and there was an entire lack of high-quality office places, which were built mostly in the city centre. There were predominating small projects of office and residential reconstructions which were limited by historical monument regulation and lack of space in the city centre. As of now the supply is prevailing on the Prague office space market and the situation for developers and tenants has totally changed. The competition of developers has rapidly increased and further increase is expectable. The development of new office buildings has moved from the city centre to the inner and outer city and the developers have focused on the multifunctional complexes, conversion of brownfields and construction of large city districts instead of separate office buildings. Prague office development is comparable with the development in Budapest and Warsaw. Commercialization of the city centre and suburbanization is even typical for all four capital cities in Central and Eastern Europe.

Proměna Karlína v kontextu teorie Marca Augého o ne- místech / The Transformation of Karlin in the context of Marc Auge's theory of non-places

Šmídová, Markéta January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with the most dynamically evolving Prague district Karlin. In the context of the theory of Marc Augé about non-places, it primarily addresses the transformation of Karlin after the floods in 2002 and its consequences. For easier orientation in this area it is at first outlined the theory of Marc Augé and the history of Karlin. It is followed by the practical part, which refers to the production of non- places. Against the backdrop of the industrial heritage it refers to the conversion of industrial buildings and the creation of new administrative centers that show signs of non-places. Construction of new office centers started the process of new development of Karlin. The nature of this process and the direction Karlin is moving , is presented with concrete examples. I note in particular the changes in the structure of newly opened businesses - shops and catering facilities . In the last part of the thesis I mention the typical expression of non-place in Karlin - the underground and its surroundings. The aim is to point out that the conversion of Karlin relates to the production of non- places. Keywords : conversion, industrial buildings, Karlin, Marc Augé, non-places, office buildings, office centers, underground.

The influence of perceived office politics on stress, turnaround intent and work engagement of employees in law firms / Elzabie Maré

Maré, Elzabie January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between office politics and selected performance outcomes namely stress, turnaround intent and work engagement, as perceived by employees working in law firms. A literature study indicated the relationship between perceptions of office politics and these selected job outcomes. As an empirical analysis, a measuring instrument consisting of five structured questionnaires was distributed via a non-probability, convenience sampling technique. Spearman’s correlation coefficient indicated the relationships between the variables. The results indicated a positive relationship between perceptions of office politics, job stress, burnout and turnaround intent but a negative relationship between perceptions of office politics and work engagement as well as its antecedents. / MBA, North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2015

GDI: (Goal Directed Interface): An intelligent, iconic, object-oriented interface for office systems.

Griggs, Kenneth Andrew. January 1989 (has links)
This dissertation presents the GDI (Goal Directed Interface) approach to the user interface for office systems. The primary objectives of the approach are to create an interface that (1) requires little user training and (2) tries to perform higher level task activities (ex. 'schedule a meeting') that have been excluded from computerization in the past. The GDI technique (1) postulates a simple model of the office environment consisting of persons, things, and processes, and a decomposable goal set, (2) represents knowledge in the office environment through rules, frames, and scripts, and object-oriented programming techniques, (3) creates an iconic visual representation consisting of persons, things, and processes that closely mimics the user's 'mental model' of the office world, (4) requires that the user's own 'person icon' be present for all interactions so that actions appear to take place in a user controllable context (the user's icon is, literally, in the interface), (5) provides a 'selection window' through which the user communicates his/her goal by grouping relevant icons, (6) uses a rule-based expert system to examine an icon configuration and, through its expertise, derives a user goal (despite ambiguous or faulty icon placements), (7) attempts to complete the user goal through the use of scripts and multiple expert systems.

Performance Audits : A study of the factors affecting audit impact in Sweden

Persson, Elin, Näsström, Milla January 2016 (has links)
There have been uncertainties to what a performance audit generates, as audit impact have an inherent causality problem. Prior studies present several factors that affect perceived audit impact, but the generalizability is low and not applicable in a Swedish context, thus this thesis contributes to the development of the existing knowledge by investigating audit impact. This thesis consists of a sample of three performance audits which are investigated through a mix methods approach with a total 23 interviews and multiple public documents, analyzed with earlier studies and theories as a benchmark. The findings indicate that audit impact is complex where several factors affect audit impact, this thesis indicated that usefulness and quality of the performance audit are the main factors that affects perceived audit impact. There are also additional effects by the performance audit that fall outside of the audit impact definition. Due to the small sample size and the fact that performance audits often are regulated by local laws one must be careful in what context these findings are solely applied in another context.
