Paprasto skylėto daugiakampio skaidymo algoritmai / Algorithms for decomposition of simple polygon with holes

Motiejauskas, Danas 22 June 2010 (has links)
This study deals with decomposition of simple polygon with holes into components so that every piece does not exceed some defined number of vertices. We define the problem and its appliances. Existing studies and algorithms for polygon decomposition are covered. We propose modifications of polygon triangulation and approximate convex decomposition algorithms. Also the complexity analysis of both algorithms is made. In the experimental part of the work results of computing experiments are presented, analyzed and compared to the theoretical complexity bounds.

Émond, Catherine 12 1900 (has links)
This research is concerned with the theory of the parts of speech in Greek antiquity and more precisely with the topic of conjunctions. The first chapter examines the definition of the conjunction given in Aristotle’s Poetics, as well as the other texts of the Aristotelian corpus which allow us the get a better grasp on a still ill-defined grammatical entity. The second chapter deals with the conjunction within the logico-grammatical researches of the Stoic school. It examines the Stoic definition of the conjunction, as well as the various categories of conjunctions that were identified by the Stoics. The central role of conjunctions in the Stoic theory of complex assertions is emphasized, thus showing the close interrelation between logic and grammar at this point in the development of grammatical theory. The final chapter is concerned with the definition and the classes of conjunctions given in the Tekhnè grammatikè, a short grammatical treatise ascribed to the Alexandrian philologist Dionysius Thrax. It shows the influence of the Stoic theory of complex assertions on this first attempt at grammatical systematization, as well as the interference of philological concerns.

Hyperaccumulation du Cadmium par Noccaea caerulescens : cinétique, répartition et prédiction / Cadmium hyperaccumulation by Noccaea caerulescens : kinetics, distribution and prediction

Lovy, Lucie 29 October 2012 (has links)
L'utilisation du BCF permet une prédiction correcte des concentrations dans les parties aériennes, contrairement au modèle de Barber-Cushman / Prediction of cadmium transfer from soil to plant can be achieved by the development of a model describing metal dynamics in the plant. This thesis analyzes Cd accumulation and distribution kinetics in Noccaea caerulescens, in the whole plant and its organs during a growth cycle. A simple predictive model, based on the relationship between Cd exposure concentration and plant Cd concentration, is also developped. This work is based on long-term experiments in controlled conditions with a constant exposure and on outside soil experiments. When N. caerulescens is exposed to a constant concentration under controlled conditions, biomass allocation and Cd translocation to the shoots are constant over time. A strong linear relationship exists between the amount of Cd taken up, biomass and exposure concentration, represented by the bioconcentration factor (BCF). The plant development has no effect on Cd root influx, which remains constant during time and proportional to Cd exposure concentration. These results suggest that Cd is allocated to the various shoots? tissues without predilection. On the other hand, in the field, Cd, Ni, end Zn concentrations in shoots decrease over time after vernalization. The three metals have similar behaviors in terms of accumulation in the different tissues. The maximum amount of Cd in shoots is observed at 2100°Cdays. When the plant is in flower, no privileged shoots parts appear in Cd hyperaccumulation, the BCF is constant over time. The use of the BCF, measured in controlled conditions, allows a correct prediction of shoots concentrations, unlike the Barber-Cushman model

Sinokorejská slovní zásoba v moderní korejštině / Sinokorean lexicon in modern Korean

Mazaná, Vladislava January 2012 (has links)
1 TITLE: Sino-Korean Lexicon in Modern Korean AUTHOR: Vladislava Mazana DEPARTMENT: Institute of East Asian Studies SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Tomáš Horák, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This diploma paper is focused on morphological aspects of the Sino-Korean lexicon in modern Korean, the main topics are Sino-Korean word-formation and Sino-Korean classification of parts of speech. Hereby considered are the typological differences between Korean, an agglutinative language and Chinese, an isolative-polysyntetic language. The problem with Sino-Korean words is their ambiguity and vagueness, they appear in various grammatical and syntactical functions with their form unchanged. One morpheme can simultaneously function as an affix and root. This paper analyzes forms of function units, it deals with ways of word-formation (composition and derivation). The ways of prefixation and suffixation are researched. Based on the results of this analysis an adequate classification of Sino-Korean parts of speech is aimed to be established. Both the original Korean and the Chinese systems of parts of speech are taken into account but neither of them corresponds with the characterics and functions of the Sino-Korean words. Considering the multifunctional character of Sino-Korean morphemes it is extremely difficult to classify the words into parts of...

RESUMÉ V ANGLICKÉM JAZYCE The diploma thesis is focused on parts of speech in the Czech language in the lower primary school. Its aim is to chart it on the general level, to introduce their definition, their historical background and the selection into the word-classes. The theoretical section introduces the parts of speech as the common part of the language. It describes them on basis of the syntactic, semantic and morphological division. That is needed for concrete introduction and realisation of the individual parts of speech. For each word class there is also briefly showed how they are presented in contemporary Czech language textbooks for the lower primary school. The practical part focuses on introduction of new methods of teaching parts of speech mainly through games and unconventional tools. The games contain rules, time management, tools and number of pupils involved. Furthermore., there are the interviews with the teachers of the concrete lower primary school who had got to test the games and tools and summarizes their opinions. KEY WORDS parts of speech, teaching, the lower primary school, unconventional approach to teaching, games, unconventional tools

From then on, the car that from the beginning has a relationship of love and hate with the population, is gaining space and the auto industry growing in importance for the industrial development of this country. Since the 1950s, when the government begins the process of developing a genuinely Brazilian automobile industry, several adjustments had to be made for this to happen. In parallel to the development of the automotive industry, developed to the auto parts industry. In the beginning, all the pieces were imported from Europe and the US, to the time when a national auto parts industry develops. The national automotive industry consists of original and independent auto parts suppliers. The first supply the car manufacturers and the last the aftermarket. The investigation begins in automotive History it is developed by aftermarket features and the relationship of suppliers to automakers ends with a multiple case study, that investigates 4 original and independent parts manufacturers. The research method used in this study is the study of multiple case study. The main contribution of the study was to add the independent auto parts supplier in the supply chain structures of the automotive industry presented by Bede (1996) and Scavarda and Hamacher (2011).

Regulated hydropower plants: technical and regulatory aspects about the quality of service.

Tenaglia, Gustavo Caravaggi 19 May 2017 (has links)
This Dissertation brings a discussion about the need of creating politics to incentive the existence of operational warehouses in Regulated Hydropower Plants, regarding the immediate effects in the availability and reliability of the Brazilian Electrical System - linking the regulatory environment to the physical world. Based in reliability theories, asset management theories and operational & maintenance polices, the work analyses the real performance of those he Regulated Hydropower Plants that are in operation for more than 30 years of operation, looking at the consequences of the growing of failure rates by going toward the end of the forecasted life-time of the main systems and equipment. By that, it aims to explain the need of promoting incentives that corrects the regulatory asymmetry involving the penalties and bonuses perceived by the regulated agent and the final consumer. Through this work, a discrepancy between the real and the regulatory O&M costs is noted, what leads to two different analysis: On the one hand, for those agents with regulated revenue greater than the real O&M costs, there is no incentive to spent their capital in spare parts due to the opportunity cost of that capital. On the other hand, the for those agent with regulated revenue lower than the real O&M costs, the penalties can easily impose an economic-financial imbalance, also nulling the incentives to immobilize assets in spare parts. Those two examples demonstrate in a simple way the failure in the sign given by the regulator to guarantee the quality of service of those Power Plants. It is divided into seven chapters: (1) introduction; (2) the current regulatory model; (3) hydropower plant and its systems; (4) reliability and failure rate; (5) study case 1 - quality of service; (6) study case 2 - evaluation of systemic impacts and (7) final considerations.
