As noÃÃes de pessoa e vida pessoal em Emmanuel Mounier: fundamentos de sua proposta de sociabilidade e de sua crÃtica ao processo de despersonalizaÃÃo / The notions of Person and Personal Life in the thought of Emmanuel Mounier: Groundworks of his sociability proposal and his depersonalization process critics

Antonio Glauton Varela Rocha 26 January 2011 (has links)
The thought of Emmanuel Mounier had developed as a synthesis between the metaphysical exigency of the constitution of the concept of person and the existencial requirements of its own unpredictability and paradox which generally mark the personal life. These concerns of conceptual order, from which Mounier will develop his anthropology, add up to the concerns of material order, that is, Mounier will always try to think the person placed into his social context and realize how the influences of this sphere interfere on personal lifeâs development. Therefore, we can say the thought of Mounier is better understood when we try to perceive the interconnections between the anthropological and political concerns presented in his philosophy. To Mounier, the person canât be defined, for it is not an object. However, it possesses personal dimensions that are like traces to penetrate into the personal universe. These are the dimensions (incarnation, communication, and vocation) which become reference to the properly human exist, and such exist (that Mounier calls personal life) becomes the reference to the personalist community understanding. To Mounier the notion of person is only completed with the notion of community, in fact they are complemented ideas, former of a binomial opposed both to individualism and coletivism. To Mounier, the personalist community itâs an ideal, a model that do not perform an achievable realization in this world, but must be anyway a model to our actions in search for a sociability compatible with human dignity. It is precisely in view of the personalist community model and the capacity that each political organization has to make the personal life that Mounier shall distinguish the political and economic systems in personalizers and depersonalizers. Hence emerges his critics to the various totalitarianism and the capitalism, as well as his proposal of a sociability compatible with the personal dignity

Rovnováha mezi podnikáním a osobním životem / The balance between an entrepreneurship and a personal life

Durchánek, Stanislav January 2011 (has links)
This Master's Thesis deals with the balance between an entrepreneurship and a personal life. Its main goal is to identify which factors have or don't have an impact on the balance between an entrepreneurship and a personal life. As a part of the theoretical section I defined components of balanced life, the consequences of imbalances and recommendations how to get a life into a balance. Additionally, there are described important parts of entrepreneurship. For my methodological section I established the list of standards how to choose a suitable entrepreneurs for my research as well as research methods (incl. personal interviews with every single entrepreneur) and data evaluation system. This methodological section justifies and determines the way in which the balance is measured. In my practical section I examined a sample of 40 entrepreneurs (majored in restaurant business). During the research I tried to find a statistical significance among groups of entrepreneurs. The research results leads to the conclusion that the balance between an entrepreneurship and a personal life depends on qualitative rather than on quantitative features.

Koto, Isaac Semathane 19 April 2010 (has links)
Work is a central activity in human lives and we cannot afford to talk about work and exclude employees, especially on how their personal lives are being influenced by the job requirements on daily basis. The work environments are ever changing due to a number of internal and external pressures. These changes result in adjustments of job requirements which in turn influence employees’ personal lives which constitute of the emotional, physical, psychological, social and spiritual dimensions. The nature and extent of the actual influence is depended of a number of factors like employee demographics, the business process of each job, employee perceptions about the requirements of their jobs and the actual job requirements demands. The goal of this study was to explore and describe the influence of the job-requirements on the personal lives of the Planners in the Department of Land Affairs. The objectives of this study were:

To conceptualise theoretically the influence of job requirements on the personal lives of employees.

To undertake an empirical study to investigate the influence of the specific job requirements on the personal lives of Planners in the Department of Land Affairs.

To draw conclusions and make recommendations to the Department of Land Affairs on how to address the needs of Planners and to formulate guidelines to enhance the Planners’ quality of life.

In the context of quantitative research, the researcher utilised applied research since this study was designed to offer practical solutions to problems experienced by the Department of Land Affairs on improving quality of life for Planners thus enhancing productivity. Group administered questionnaires were utilised as a data collection method and it was pilot tested with three employees at the National Office of the Department of Land Affairs who did not form part of the actual study. The population of the study was 51 and all of them completed the questionnaire. The results of the study showed that employees who were employed as Planners by the Department of Land Affairs at the Mpumalanga Regional Land Claims Commission, were exposed to job requirements which to a larger extent had a negative influence on certain dimensions of their personal lives. The goal of the study was achieved in that the researcher did not only manage to explore and describe the influence of the job requirements on the personal lives of the Planners in the Department of Land Affairs but also managed to give recommendations to the Department of Land Affairs on how to enhance quality of life of Planners. Matheson, Jennifer L. 29 May 2002 (has links)
This mixed-method study examines the work and personal life balance of Marriage & Family Therapy faculty members across the U.S., 16 of whom were interviewed to gain a deeper understanding of their work and personal life balance issues. Of those, six felt they had good balance, six felt they had poor balance, and four were "middle of the road." More men than women felt they had good balance. Faculty members indicated external and internal indicators such as family and workplace messages, health cues, feelings of contentment, and congruence with personal values help them determine how they feel about their work and personal life balance. Other findings indicate that many factors impact MFT faculty member's sense of their work and personal life balance, including child and relationship status, tenure status, and gender issues. Balance enhancers included job flexibility, setting healthy boundaries, their ability to say no, spirituality, positive work esteem, and participation in non-work activities. Balance reducers included developing bad habits, negative work esteem, problematic but temporary life circumstances, and poor work boundaries. Faculty members also discussed some of their coping strategies and made recommendations for future MFT faculty members such as good self care, not viewing work as a race, being intentional, prioritizing, and strategizing. / Master of Science

Všetečková, Tereza January 2020 (has links)
Harmonization of the professional and personal lives of employees Abstract The content of this thesis is the harmonization of professional and family life from a legal perspective. Especially with regard to the family life of the individual. This is a topic that both women and men related to. This is a current issue, as it resonates with the whole society and influences its development and growth. Appropriate balance of these two areas can lead to a happier life of the individual, higher work performance and an increase in birth rates. The aim was to comprehensively and structurally compile the area of harmonization of professional and personal life, to point out possible problems or discrepancies in legislation in this area. This is done by describing the legal regulation of individual institutes and by providing proposals de lege ferenda. I proceeded from the basic hypothesis that this is an area where gender inequality is still visible and that the process of development in this area is still not complete. The work is divided into five chapters. Work-life interaction among Afrikaans speaking secondary school educators in the North West Province : a phenomenological study / Chenell Buys

Buys, Chenell January 2006 (has links)
In contemporary society, work and home represent the two most significant domains in the life of a working individual. In order to help an individual live optimally, the work and personal life domains must no longer be regarded as separate domains, but as highly interrelated. The work and personal life domains must influence each other in a positive way to assist the individual in his daily responsibilities at work and in his personal life. A high proportion of employed workers, however, have serious difficulties in combining obligations in their work and personal lives. Educators are one of the occupations that may find it difficult to integrate their work and personal life. The objectives of this research were to determine how Afrikaans-speaking educators experienced Work-Personal Life Interaction (WPLI), to determine the domains in Afrikaans-speaking educators' lives that could interact with one another, to determine the main antecedents and consequences of WPLI for Afrikaans-speaking educators and to investigate which strategies Afrikaans-speaking educators used to deal with WPLI issues. A non-probability purposive voluntary sample (N = I I) of Afrikaans-speaking secondary school educators was used from the North West Province (in the Potchefstroom and Promosa areas). A qualitative design from a phenomenological approach was used to determine educators' experience of WPLI. Content analysis was used to analyse, quantify and interpret the research data. The results indicated that educators experienced certain aspects in their work environment and personal lives as demanding. Certain dimensions were identified in both their work and personal lives. As a result of a demanding work environment, they experienced time and strain-based conflict between their work and personal lives. However, it was found that educators possessed various factors that facilitated their WPLI and strategies they used to deal with WPLI issues. Recommendations were made for the organisation and for future research. / Thesis (M.Comm. (Industrial Psychology))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2007.

Analýza proměnných ovlivňujících postavení matek samoživitelek na trhu práce / Analysis of Variables Impacting the Status of Single Mothers on the Labour Market

Kolmistrová, Aneta January 2016 (has links)
This thesis is trying to find out what variables could affect the situation of single mothers on the labor market in the Czech Republic. First, there are identified nine variables that can affect their position on the labor market. Analysis of these variables leads to its subsequent division into two groups - individual and objective. In the context of individual variables, the focus is on a financial and material situation, support of wider family, job aspirations and a need for harmonization of work and personal life of single mothers. As objective variables is dealt with the social and family policy, possibilities of preschool and school facilities, access of an employer in terms of using a family-friendly approach and a risk of discrimination, a risk of unemployment. The subsequent empirical survey with the qualitative design utilizes personal experiences of single mothers from their activity on the labor market in the context of selected variables. Evaluation of the survey confirms six out of nine effects such as influencing variables. The thesis concludes evaluating of all the facts while there is a further demonstration of possible extension of this investigated issue. Key words: single mother, family, working life, personal life, harmonization, labor market
