El presente proyecto se elabora a partir de la necesidad de reducir los costos operativos de almacenamiento en una empresa dedicada a la arquitectura de eventos, la cual representa una reducción en la rentabilidad. Asimismo, se identificó que el problema es el espacio improductivo que existe dentro del almacén de materiales debido, principalmente, al desperdicio generado por el servicio que brinda. Cabe resaltar que el manejo de este almacén es especial, ya que no sólo se almacena los materiales para brindar el servicio, sino también los desperdicios generados por el mismo, lo cual genera un valor singular a nuestra investigación. Por ello, el proyecto de investigación se enfoca en modelar una propuesta de un método de gestión de almacenamiento basado en la gestión del conocimiento, el diseño ideal de las instalaciones de almacenamiento y el monitoreo continuo de los procesos y actividades del almacén con el objetivo de lograr un flujo de material adecuado, minimización de costos, altos niveles de servicio al cliente y la sostenibilidad del proyecto a lo largo del tiempo. La validación del modelo se realizó en el almacén de la empresa en estudio ubicada en Lima, Perú y los resultados fueron positivos tales como la reducción del espacio improductivo del almacén en un 27.86% generando un ahorro de S/11,175 mensuales, la disminución los costos totales operativos en un 58.55% con respecto a los costos de almacenamiento y como consecuencia el incremento de la rentabilidad. / This project is based on the requirement to reduce the operating costs of storage in a company dedicated to event architecture, which represents a reduction in profitability. It was identified that the problem is the unproductive space that exists within the materials warehouse, mainly due to the waste generated by the service it provides. It should be noted that the management of this warehouse is special, because not only the materials to provide the service are stored, but also the waste generated by it, which generates a unique value to our research. Therefore, the research project focuses on modeling a proposal for a storage management method based on knowledge management, the ideal design of storage facilities, and continuous monitoring of warehouse processes and activities to achieve a flow of adequate material, minimization of costs, high levels of customer service and the sustainability of the project over time. The validation of the model was carried out in the warehouse of the study company located in Lima, Peru and the results were positive such as reducing the unproductive space of the warehouse by 27.86%, generating savings of S/ 11,175 per month, reducing costs operating totals by 58.55% with respect to storage costs and as a consequence the increase in profitability. / Trabajo de Suficiencia Profesional

Существующие стандарты и методики бизнес-планирования носят универсальный характер независимо от того, применяются они для вновь создаваемого бизнеса или для реализации проектов на действующем производстве. Отсутствие четко проработанных методических рекомендаций, учитывающих специфику формирования и реализации бизнес-планов для действующего производства определило выбор темы диссертационной работы. Цель диссертационной работы: совершенствование методического подхода к разработке бизнес-планов на действующем производстве. Задачи исследования: исследование теоретических и методических основ бизнес- планирования, анализ зарубежного и российского опыта бизнес-планирования в рамках действующего производства; разработка методического подхода к бизнес- планированию на действующем производстве, апробация разработанного методического подхода на предприятии ООО «Экомаш+Урал», оценка его экономической эффективности. Предложен методический подход к бизнес-планированию на действующем производстве, включающий уточненную схему реализации этапов разработки бизнес-плана с выявлением специфики каждого этапа для действующего производства и методические рекомендации по реализации отдельных этапов, что позволяет повысить эффективность реализуемых на предприятии проектов и производственно-хозяйственной деятельности в целом. Использование данной методики на предприятии ООО «Экомаш+ Урал» позволило повысить коэффициент загрузки оборудования, снизить расходы на закупку материалов и сырья, а также на заработную плату сотрудникам. / Existing standards and methods of business planning are universal in nature, regardless of whether they are used for a newly created business or for the implementation of projects in existing production. The lack of well-developed methodological recommendations that take into account the specifics of the formation and implementation of business plans for existing production determined the choice of the topic of the dissertation. The purpose of the thesis: improving the methodological approach to the development of business plans in existing production. Research Objectives: study of the theoretical and methodological foundations of business planning, analysis of foreign and Russian experience in business planning in the framework of existing production; development of a methodological approach to business planning at the existing production, testing of the developed methodological approach at the LLC «Ekomash + Ural» enterprise, assessment of its economic efficiency. A methodological approach to business planning at the existing production is proposed, including an updated scheme for the implementation of the stages of developing a business plan with identification of the specifics of each stage for the existing production and methodological recommendations for the implementation of individual stages, which allows to increase the efficiency of projects and production and business activities carried out at the enterprise whole. Using this technique at the LLC «Ekomash + Ural» enterprise allowed increasing the load factor of equipment, reducing the cost of purchasing materials and raw materials, as well as wages for employees.

A management plan for locally generated economic development in South Africa

Local authorities in South Africa need to compile and implement local economic development plans. These plans are not only required by law as a component of integrated development plans, but also emanate from the pressing needs of many communities for development, job creation, and greater welfare and prosperity. A review of the historical and theoretical background reveals changing approaches and different theories to defend the actions taken. A critique of typical strategies and processes reveals that no one strategy or process can be universally applied, but that these should be adapted to the community's unique circumstances. Shortcomings and appropriate applications are indicated. The management plan presents a process to enable local authorities in partnership with the community to compile a plan for locally generated and directed development. This plan can, but need not, be a component of an integrated development plan and is thus compatible with integrated development planning and the formulation of local development objectives. The plan draws on a number of planning methodologies including urban planning, city marketing, strategic planning and neuro-linguistic programming approaches. Techniques from these and community development methodologies are included to guide the community through the process of creating a vision, analysis, goal setting, plan and strategy formulation, implementation and review. This management plan is designed as a generic process that can be applied to a variety of circumstances. The flexible nature of the process permits innovation and adaptations to local needs and other fields of planning. No mundo mais globalizado, onde a comoditização de produtos se tornou mais rápida, as organizações estão recorrendo ao desenvolvimento de novos serviços e à inovação como meios essenciais para enfrentar a concorrência e se diferenciar no mercado. Criada em estudo recente, a metodologia IDEATRIZ engloba análise de valor, métodos sistemáticos e heurísticos oriundos da TRIZ para geração de ideias de produtos voltados à manufatura. Porém, a necessidade atual da inovação na área de serviços dada sua importância na economia e, pelo fato da TRIZ já possuir sua aplicação estendida a outras áreas de conhecimento como qualidade, energia e serviços, buscou-se comprovar através deste estudo que a metodologia IDEATRIZ pode ser uma poderosa ferramenta para geração de ideias de serviços. Também buscou-se comprovar que a aplicação direta desta metodologia IDEATRIZ gera ideias de menor qualidade se comparada à mesma metodologia, porém adaptada para serviços. Para validar as hipóteses levantadas foram realizados diversos workshops aplicando a metodologia original e adaptada para coletar ideias e assim comparar os resultados obtidos. Com a aplicação direta da metodologia levantaramse as dificuldades que serviram como base para adaptação da metodologia IDEATRIZ para serviços. Como resultado à IDEATRIZ adaptada, obteve-se a facilidade de uso e a melhoria da abstração dos participantes, pela inclusão de exemplos para serviços através das heurísticas e dos princípios inventivos, e a melhoria da qualidade das ideias geradas. A contribuição obtida com a pesquisa foi estender o campo da IDEATRIZ para uso em inovação de serviços como uma ferramenta de apoio a soluções criativas de problemas de serviços. / In a world even more globalized, where the product comoditization has become faster, the organizations are falling back on new service development and innovation as essential ways to face competition and become differentiated in the market. Created in a recent study, the IDEATRIZ methodology includes value analysis, systematic and heuristic methods coming from TRIZ methodology in order to generate product ideas in the manufacturing field. But the actual necessity of innovation in the services field due to its importance in the economy and, the fact that TRIZ has been already applied in other fields as quality, energy and services, this study aimed to prove that IDEATRIZ methodology can be a powerful tool for services ideation. It was brought also the hypotesis that the direct use IDEATRIZ would result in lesser quality ideas that if it were be compared to the same methodology but adapted for service. Thus a research was carried out to validate these hypothesis. The IDEATRIZ methodology was applied directly and adapted in several workshops to generate service ideias and the results were compared. The raised suggestions collected in direct application were used to adapt the methodology. As result of comparison between original and adapted IDEATRIZ, it was obtained increasing the quality of generated ideas and the ease of use of the methodology adapted by including examples of services in heuristics and inventive principles phases. The contribution of this research was to open the field of IDEATRIZ methodology for service innovation as a tool to support creative solutions to generate new services.

Such methodologies must also be applied in the so-called Virtual Learning Environments. The aim of this work is to present a planning methodology based on known pedagogical theories which contributes to the incorporation of assessment in the process of teaching and learning. With this in mind, the pertinent literature was reviewed in order to identify the key pedagogical concepts needed to the definition of this methodology and a descriptive approach was used to establish current relations between this conceptual framework and distance education. As a result of this procedure, the Contents Map and the Dependence Map were specified and implemented, two teaching tools that promote the planning of a course by taking into account assessment still in this early stage. Inserted on Moodle, the developed tools were tested in a course of distance learning for practical observation of the involved concepts. Planning for success: constructing a first responder planning methodology for homeland security

CHDS State/Local / Approved for public release, distribution is unlimited / The planning methodologies used today by most U.S. fire departments are excellent for traditional missions, but wholly inadequate for the threats posed by terrorism. Planning in the fire service and the rest of the first responder community historically has relied on a one-dimensional approach that uses a scenario-based planning (SBP) methodology. This thesis argues that the fire service and others in the first responder community will be able to contribute to homeland security missions much more effectively, and efficiently, by switching to specially adapted versions of capabilities-based planning. This thesis proposes a new integrated planning methodology that combines the planning strengths of scenariobased planning, threat-based planning, and capabilities-based planning. The new method identifies capabilities that could be used to manage and mitigate the consequences of the different types of contingencies within the various response spectrums. It allows an organization to perform analysis and efficiency studies to evaluate the different spectrums of contingencies against existing capabilities and create a menu of capabilities necessary for the first responder to respond to all its missions, including immediate threats and terrorism, in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. / Battalion Chief, Fire Department City of New York

Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) / Sin duda la lectura tiene un papel importante en el aula de segunda lengua. No solo es una manera efectiva de adquirir vocabulario y gramática sino también es un buen instrumento para presentar la cultura de la lengua meta. Por lo tanto, es necesario que los estudiantes puedan leer bien. No obstante, los problemas de comprensión surgen cuando a los estudiantes les falta competencia lingüística o conocimiento previo o, las diferencias en las aptitudes de leer, varían en cada estudiante. Entonces es importante que los maestros les den a los estudiantes los instrumentos que les permitan acceder a las estrategias de comprensión. La meta de este trabajo es probar que entre más conciencia metacognitiva tenga un estudiante de segunda lengua, mejor será su comprensión del texto. En general, los maestros de segunda lengua entienden la importancia del conocimiento de vocabulario y gramática en cuanto al éxito de lectura, pero quizás no se dan cuenta de que la conciencia metacognitiva tiene un papel igualmente importante. Por ello, este trabajo es tanto para los maestros que no están familiarizados con la instrucción de las estrategias de la comprensión de lectura como para los que dudan del valor en el currículo, ya lleno de lecciones y ejercicios comunicativos.
