Metodika vývoje IS / Methodology of IS Development

Synáček, Václav January 2007 (has links)
BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation), EPC (Event-driven Process Chain), MMABP (Methodology for Modeling and Analysis of Business Process) a Meta-modelem standardů modelovacích jazyků.

Rosell, Andreas, Salomonsson, Ludvig January 2016 (has links)
The harsh competition the producing organizations face these days, sets high expectations concerning effectivity, profitability and process development. To improve the organization is an essential part for survival. In order to successfully improve your organization you should first identify what process that’s in dire need. This can be achieved by identifying, analyzing and eliminating the wastes inside the company. This report sets the foundation for future improvements by identifying the locations, reasons and economic consequences of waste. A case study whose purpose was to analyze an activity which didn’t add value for the customer was performed to reveal additional areas of improvement. Through interviews, observations and studies of documented data, a new model for the registration system was created. These methods were also used to create an updated version of their internal price list. A case study were performed where two batches of meat, from different suppliers, were followed through processing. The purpose were to examine whether there is a link between supplier quality and increment of cost. Parameter such as time spent in stock, resource consumption and loss of weight where observed. The model combined with the price list can be used as a basis for future decisions regarding improvements. The case study demonstrates the consequences associated with a functional oriented business approach.

A Business Process Management Methodology for Care Process Monitoring

Mokahhal, Mohamed Anis January 2016 (has links)
Reporting patient states is considered an important part of care process monitoring in the hospital to efficiently monitor how well the health care system is performing. Monitoring care processes with enough fine-grained detail to precisely track wait states and service states in order to reduce wait times and improve their quality of care are challenging. Business Process Management (BPM) technology is used to bring care processes online, but there is no clear methodology on how to integrate performance management into BPM tools in a systematic matter that is effective, and minimizes complications and development costs. This thesis proposes a BPM methodology for care process monitoring that structures how to integrate performance monitoring into BPM. The major contribution of this thesis includes a generic methodology for care processes monitoring that describes how to structure and instrument a business process model for systematic care process monitoring which includes support for handoff points between organizations where many wait-time bottlenecks occur. It also includes a prototype implementation based on an existing case study based on a real cardiology care process from an Ontario hospital. Our results are evaluated using three different prototypes based on this same care process. The research methodology for the thesis is based on Design-Science research.

Využití agentů v business procesech / Using Multi-Agent Systems in Business Process Modeling

Doskočilová, Veronika January 2011 (has links)
This work deals with the possibilities of using agents and multiagent systems in the areas of business process management and business process modeling. The aim of the theoretical part is to describe the theory of artificial agents, to assess the benefits of this approach and to describe current applications of MAS in BPM. In the theoretical part I also describe the issue of management and business process modeling and methodology MMABP. The aim of the analytical part is to summarize the possibilities of using MAS in BPM in the situations where business processes are already described and modeled and in the situations where there are no such descripctions nor models yet . In this part I also want to introduce my theory of agent-process, which is the possibility of looking at processes as autonomous agents. This theory is presented in practical demonstrations and examples by using the TROPOS methodology, and this theory is supported by references from the areas of agent and business process modeling.

This work has the objective of analyzing the technological, structural and behavioral aspects generated by the decision of the implementation and use of an integrated manufacturing system supported by information systems. In this work, it was developed a sequence of steps for implementing integrated information systems capable of supporting the various processes of a factory environment, which presents significant benefits to the management system. Understanding how to structure information systems in an integrated manner to support the manufacturing system, is acquired through understanding of each field of knowledge in specific (strategy, strategic planning, manufacturing systems, information systems and integrated company) to a second step to group them in a unique context, which all belong. The analysis of the issues was conducted through multiple case studies with application of the proposal in companies from different segments. The results of the analysis in this study demonstrated that the implementation of integrated information systems to support the manufacturing system brings many benefits and innovations that are capable of contributing to a state of competitiveness, flexibility, agility and low response time. However, it also brings many difficulties, the need for new management practices, process redesign, training needs, need for systemic vision by employees, more discipline and resistance to change. For all these difficulties this work presents ways to mitigate them or work around them / Mestrado / Mestre em Engenharia Mecânica

Rummel, Florian 18 March 2020 (has links)
The digital age is forcing manufacturing firms to innovate beyond new products and services and to professionalize their digital business model innovation (BMI) activities in order to stay competitive. While new product development (NPD) and new service development (NSD) research boasts a multiplicity of well-founded publications on process models, which contribute to increasing the likelihood of innovation, only few business model researchers have examined innovation processes for BMI. This is particularly so with digital BMI activities in manufacturing firms, as their digital BMI approach is often based on an extension of their NPD activities. This study explores how the innovation processes of manufacturing firms can be designed in order to develop novel business models to address the challenges of digitalization. Thereby, NPD-related path dependency considering the history in manufacturing firms and requirements on specific digital process characteristics are factored in. The study uses a multiple-case study approach, where data on BMI processes was collected in six manufacturing firms. The results show that the design of BMI processes in the digital age differs conceptually between B2C and B2B manufacturing firms. While BMI processes in B2C firms follow a semi-structured approach that considers experimentation, process models in B2B firms show similarities with an NPD hybrid model comprising stage-gate methods and agility. Concerning empirical and managerial implications, this study proposes two process models for digital BMI for B2C and B2B firms. Thereby, this study identifies specific digital process characteristics manufacturing firms need to consider when designing a BMI process in the digital age.
