The curriculum proposal for an indigenous school must meet all the specifics that legislation recommended for this type of education. The Secretary of State of Amazonas Education (SEDUC-AM) attempts to gradually promote the building of the Pedagogical Political Project for indigenous schools network within the criteria recommended by the National Reference for Indigenous Schools (RCNEI), but the challenges are many. The Indian State School Gildo Sampaio Megatanücü, object of this research serves as a reference for the current situation analysis and context in which the indigenous education in the state is. The current proposal for Indigenous Education presented by the Secretary of State of Amazonas Education (SEDUC-AM), aims to fully meet the specifics of what was proposed by the Federal Government in relation to Indigenous Education. The diagnosis presented can be viewed, in part, by the analysis of external evaluations of data applied in the Indian State School Gildo Sampaio Megatanücü in the municipality of Benjamin Constant AM. Indeed, the school in question in recent years has shown a low rate of school proficiency of their high school students. This characterizes this gap between what is foreseen in the proposal presented by SEDUC with the reality of all the features that the indigenous school Gildo Sampaio presents. It is noticed that there is a gap between what is taught and what is assessed, taking into account the peculiarity of indigenous education. In this context, the problem of this research is based on the current action of the school represented by the macro-management of Indigenous Education (GEEI-SEDUC-AM) and the micromanagement of school unit reflects the deficiency and the ineffectiveness of such assessments in indigenous schools, and its relationship with indigenous educational policy for Gildo Sampaio school, so take up this research as practical and qualitative example for reflections of indigenous school reality in the Amazon. It is necessary to search for a technical and administrative support for the effectiveness of a curriculum proposal that represents, in fact, the reality of Indigenous School and recognize the ethno-cultural and linguistic diversity of indigenous local context where the school is installed, and which directions in state policy to address the specificities of this indigenous school. Adequate and viable proposal could be the basis for the other Indian schools of Amazonas.

A renovação do ensino de gramatica no primeiro grau no Estado de São Paulo

Aparicio, Ana Silvia Moço 20 April 1999 (has links)
Orientador: Ines Signorini / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem / Made available in DSpace on 2018-07-25T08:24:25Z (GMT). Este trabalho também nos possibilitou desenvolver uma reflexão tanto sobre nossa atuação na formação de professores quanto sobre o processo de formação de professores em geral práticas dos professores torna-se difícil a discussão sobre novas propostas de ensino como também a efetivação das mudanças desejadas / Abstract: This work shows a reflection about the impact caused by the state of São Paulo proposal for renewing the teaching of grammar in class, and also, the Portuguese teachers' speech in classes ranging from the 5th to the 8th grades in public schools of a small city in the countryside of the state of São Paulo. To put this reflection into effect, we described and analyzed the concept and function ascribed to grammar by the different organs that were pertained to spread the new proposals for change. We also analyzed classes and testimonies by 20 teachers that have taken part in this process of spreading and implementationthe new ways of teaching Portuguese in the last 10 years. This analyses enabled us to learn that the proposal for renewing the teaching of grammar in public elementary schools in the state of São Paulo, based on criticism of school and traditional grammar, shows different perspectives to this kind of teaching ftom the so-called Functional Linguistics. Besides that, we saw that the organs which set the connection between the knowledge, which comes ftom Linguistics and the teachers, make these differences neutral or wipe them out. As to the teachers' classes, we were able to realize a great difficulty by the teachers in developing the study of grammar based on texts, thus making their performances full of mistakes and misinterpretations. The testimonies showed us that teachers are aware not oniy of the proposals for change, but also of the difficulties they face on their practice in class. However, they seem not to be aware of the inconsistencies present in their grammar classes or in their personal speech. The present work also enabled us to think about our own role on teachers' training as well as the whole process ofteachers' training in general. From the results of this survey, we believe that if there's not a broader reflection based on the teachers' practices it will be difficult to talk about new teaching proposals as well as the real achievement of the desired changes / Mestrado / Ensino-Aprendizagem de Lingua Materna / Mestre em Linguística Aplicada

Will she say yes? A content analysis of accepted and rejected marriage proposals

Hoplock, Lisa 15 July 2016 (has links)
Proposing marriage is one of the few rituals that many people engage in world-wide, and yet many aspects remain a mystery. For example, there is currently no research on rejected marriage proposals, despite their potential impact on the self and well-being. The purpose of the present research was to compare and contrast rejected and accepted marriage proposals. Because the traditional proposal script is well known in Western society, I hypothesized that all proposals would be high rather than low in traditionalism. But, men whose proposal is rejected may not know that women prefer private proposals (Hoplock, 2015), and so I hypothesized that rejected proposals would be more likely to occur in public compared to accepted proposals. Additionally, I hypothesized that couples would distance themselves from each other during rejected proposals. I also predicted that couples would remain close to each other during accepted proposals compared to during rejected proposals. Finally, I hypothesized that couples experiencing rejected proposals would be less likely to talk about marriage in advance than couples experiencing accepted proposals. I tested these hypotheses in two studies. I conducted a content analysis of 285 marriage proposal videos (36 rejected proposals, 249 accepted proposals; Study 1), and of 374 first-person written accounts of marriage proposals (180 rejected proposals, 194 accepted proposals; Study 2). Trained coders rated the proposals for traditionalism (e.g., offering a ring), the presence of others, and couple members’ approach and avoidance goals. I also used inductive coding to derive themes from the data. Additionally, in Study 2, trained coders noted men’s motivation for proposing and women’s reasons for their response, the relationship status before and after the proposal, and whether couples discussed marriage in advance of the proposal. In Study 1 but not Study 2, proposals were high rather than low in traditionalism. In both studies, rejected proposals were less traditional than accepted proposals. Some traditional behaviors were particularly strong as distinguishing between proposals: The odds of a proposal being accepted were 8 – 20 times higher if the proposer presented a ring. Expectedly, rejected proposals were more likely to occur in public than accepted proposals. Moreover, women were particularly affected by the proposal, distancing themselves from their partner during rejected proposals and drawing close to their partner during accepted proposals. Providing insight into the proposers’ motivations, men often proposed for reasons such as a desire to commit to their partner, but, unlike men whose proposal was accepted, men whose proposal was rejected were also likely to propose out of desperation. Furthermore, women most commonly declined a proposal because they thought they were too young or not ready to get engaged. Unfortunately, some of the heartache of rejected proposals may have been avoided if the couple members had discussed marriage in advance: Only 29% of couples experiencing rejected proposals discussed marriage in advance, compared to 100% of couples experiencing accepted proposals. The rich nature of this data brings to life the proposal experience and highlights many potential directions for future research. / Graduate / 0621 / 0451

Estimation of Inertial Parameters for Automatic Leveling of an Underwater Vehicle

Faez Elias, Feras January 2017 (has links)
The use of underwater systems has grown significantly, and they can be used both for military and civilian purposes. Many of their parts are replaceable. An underwater vehicle can be equipped with different devices depending on the taskit should carry out. This can make the vehicle unbalanced, which means that the demand for balancing systems will increase in line with the increasing use of underwater systems. The goal of the thesis is to deliver a method for balancing based on parameters estimated both in static and dynamic operation. The parameters define a nonlinear physical model that can describe the underwater vehicle in different environments and conditions. The main idea in the proposed method for parameter estimation based on static operation data is to solve equilibrium equations when the on-board control system is used to maintain two different orientations. The balancing can then be done by solving an optimisation problem that gives information about where additional weights or float material should be installed. The static parameter estimation has been evaluated successfully in simulations together with three ways of solving the balancing problem. The dynamic parameter estimation has also been evaluated in simulations. In this case, the estimated parameters seem to have the same sign as the true ones but it seems difficult to obtain accurate estimates of some of the parameters. However, the total dynamic model was good except the prediction of the vertical movements. In particular, the model could explain the rotations of the vehicle well. The reason for the worse performance for the vertical movements might be some difficulties when generating suitable excitation signals. The work done by Feras Faez Elias in connection to this master thesis made a contribution to a patent application that Saab AB has filed where Feras Faez Elias was one of the inventors.

Riadenie podnikovej výkonnosti v oblasti firmy s informačnými technológiami / Corporate Perfomance Management in the company trading IT technologies

Procházková, Katarína January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis is focused on the area of corporate performance management in corporation. As the time passes and technology is developing, the amount of information is still increasing. The company has to work with these information and process data based on which it can make decisions in everyday business. It is crucial for the company to know how to process data and create processes and information systems so the data can be used for effective decisions making process. The goal of this thesis is to introduce corporate performance management as the complex system and make the proposal of the concept for the company on Slovak and Czech market trading with information technology. Thesis is divided into two parts. The first one is about introducing principles of corporate performance management (as abbreviation CPM) -- introduction of components, history and also the place of CPM in architecture of the company. It also describes the possible future of importance in the company IT structure. In the end of first part there are introduced 5 principles of integrating CPM into real company life cycle. In the second part, thesis is about application of CPM into the company on Czech and Slovak market. In the first place, analysis was done about the state of each of components of CPM. Afterwards, all components of CPM were again designed so it would be possible to reach the best results. In the second part there is also detailed manual according to 5 principles by Palladino how to implement corporate performance management into this company.

provide&nbsp;&nbsp; irreplaceable&nbsp; environmental&nbsp; and economic&nbsp; services,&nbsp; as&nbsp; well&nbsp; as&nbsp; environmental&nbsp; services.&nbsp; These services&nbsp; are&nbsp; enabled&nbsp; by&nbsp; their&nbsp; ability&nbsp; to&nbsp; pollinate&nbsp; plants&nbsp; in natural&nbsp; and&nbsp; agroecosystems,&nbsp; as&nbsp; well&nbsp; as&nbsp; thanks&nbsp; to&nbsp; larvaepredators&nbsp; of&nbsp; aphids&nbsp; and&nbsp; other&nbsp; insects,&nbsp; reducing&nbsp; economic losses&nbsp; in&nbsp; the&nbsp; yield&nbsp; of&nbsp; cultivated&nbsp; plants. Hoverflies&nbsp; are extremely important for the environment, as they can serve as bioindicators of climate change and habitat conditions. Some species&nbsp; also&nbsp; have&nbsp; conservation&nbsp; importance,&nbsp; since&nbsp; they&nbsp; have become&nbsp; endangered&nbsp; due&nbsp; to&nbsp; anthropogenic&nbsp; effects,&nbsp; which requires taking measures to ensure their survival. The extraordinary richness of flora and fauna on the Balkan&nbsp; Peninsula&nbsp; represents&nbsp; a&nbsp; unique&nbsp; ecological&nbsp; and biogeographical phenomenon in Europe. Greece, as one of the most important center of biodiversity in the Balkans and in the Mediterranean,&nbsp; is&nbsp; characterized&nbsp; by&nbsp; a&nbsp; wide&nbsp; spectrum&nbsp; of important&nbsp; ecosystem&nbsp; types,&nbsp; the&nbsp; most&nbsp; important&nbsp; of&nbsp; which&nbsp; are forests, since the largest number of hoverflies prefer this type of habitat.The importance of faunal research is reflected in the discovery&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; composition&nbsp; and&nbsp; number&nbsp; of&nbsp; species&nbsp; in specific habitats or areas. The faunal composition provides an insight into the biodiversity of the investigated area, which is&nbsp; constantly&nbsp; changing,&nbsp; especially&nbsp; lately&nbsp; under&nbsp; the&nbsp; influence&nbsp; of negative&nbsp; anthropogenic impact. Data about species can be of great importance for possible programs for the protection and recovery of endangered species, as well as in the planning of the formation of new protected areas or in the introduction of new&nbsp; measures&nbsp; of&nbsp; protection&nbsp; in&nbsp; already&nbsp; existing&nbsp; natural resources.&nbsp; Identifying&nbsp; endangered&nbsp; species&nbsp; or&nbsp; endangered habitats&nbsp; they&nbsp; inhabit&nbsp; plays&nbsp; an&nbsp; important&nbsp; role&nbsp; in&nbsp; planning conservation strategies for their conservation.The&nbsp; results&nbsp; of&nbsp; these&nbsp; thesis&nbsp; complement&nbsp; the knowledge&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; fauna&nbsp; composition,&nbsp; taxonomy,&nbsp; distribution and diversity of hoverflies in Greece. Using the collected data, an&nbsp; identification&nbsp; key&nbsp; was&nbsp; formed&nbsp; to&nbsp; distinguish&nbsp; both&nbsp; the genera&nbsp; and&nbsp; species&nbsp; registered&nbsp; in&nbsp; this&nbsp; area,&nbsp; which&nbsp; greatly assisted in further faunistic research. As a result of these thesis a final list of 418 species rom 83 genus was obtained. Of the total&nbsp; number&nbsp; of&nbsp; recorded&nbsp; species,&nbsp; 64&nbsp; species&nbsp; were&nbsp; first&nbsp; time registered in the territory of Greece, while a total of 18 species are new to science. The main goal of this paper is to revise the fauna of Greek&nbsp; howerflies&nbsp; based&nbsp; on&nbsp; the&nbsp; collected&nbsp; material&nbsp; from published&nbsp; and&nbsp; unpublished&nbsp; collections&nbsp; and&nbsp; additional&nbsp; field research, compile a list of all known species from&nbsp; Greece, and create an identification key to distinguish the recorded genera and&nbsp; species&nbsp; (accompanied&nbsp; by&nbsp; photographs&nbsp; and&nbsp; drawings&nbsp; of diagnostic morphological characters of adult individuals). The second&nbsp; part&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; thesis&nbsp; deals&nbsp; with&nbsp; the&nbsp; identification&nbsp; of&nbsp; rare and endangered species of Greece&nbsp; with an emphasis on their protection&nbsp; and&nbsp; conservation.&nbsp; Within&nbsp; the&nbsp; framework&nbsp; of&nbsp; the dissertation, a spatial analysis of the distribution of species in Greece&nbsp; was&nbsp; carried&nbsp; out,&nbsp; already&nbsp; threatened&nbsp; at&nbsp; the&nbsp; European and&nbsp; Balkan&nbsp; levels,&nbsp; in&nbsp; order&nbsp; to&nbsp; determine&nbsp; areas&nbsp; of&nbsp; special<br />significance for their preservation.</p>
