In this context several authors suggest that the adoption of Six Sigma practices is influenced by culture. This work focuses on the relationship of organizational culture and quality to the practices of Six Sigma quality. Thus a descriptive-exploratory and correlational study of forty pharmacies of manipulation from Rio Grande do Norte was undertaken. Data collection identified features of companies and the level of use of the practices of Six Sigma quality that have been identified in the literature. For the Organizational Culture evaluation was used the Competitive Value Model (Cameron & Quinn, 1996), tested on north-American organizations and considered a high value academic and professional instrument. This model has been involved with the taximetrics created by Cameron who classifies quality culture in four levels. The results suggest that the Group and Developmental cultures are associated with higher levels of use of the practices of Six Sigma quality than the Rational and Hierarchical Cultures. Regarding the levels of the culture s quality, the highest levels were most frequently cited in Errors Prevention and Perpetual Improvement and Creativity, being the last one more positively related to the Six Sigma indicators / Nos debates recentes a respeito das quest?es da qualidade, o tema cultura organizacional e Seis Sigma t?m aparecido cada vez com maior freq??ncia. Nesse contexto, diversos autores sugerem que a ado??o de pr?ticas do Seis Sigma ? influenciada pela cultura. Sendo assim, este trabalho enfoca a rela??o da cultura organizacional e da qualidade com as pr?ticas de qualidade Seis Sigma. Para tanto, realizou-se um estudo explorat?rio-descritivo e correlacional em uma amostra composta por quarenta farm?cias de manipula??o do estado do Rio Grande do Norte. A coleta dos dados identificou caracter?sticas das empresas e o n?vel de utiliza??o das pr?ticas de qualidade Seis Sigma que foram, por sua vez, identificadas na literatura. Para avalia??o da cultura organizacional utilizou-se o Modelo dos Valores Competitivos (Cameron & Quinn, 1996), testado exaustivamente em organiza??es norte-americanas e considerado um instrumento de alto valor acad?mico e profissional. Esse modelo foi associado ? taxionomia criada por Cameron que classifica a cultura de qualidade em quatro n?veis. Os resultados sugerem que as Culturas Cl? e Inovadora s?o as que melhor representam o perfil cultural das farm?cias e tamb?m est?o mais associadas de forma positiva ?s pr?ticas de qualidade Seis Sigma que as Culturas Mercado e Hier?rquica. This graduation thesis deals with the analysis of the process quality management in the chosen organization. There exist many reasons why should the companies implement the system of the quality management. From the point of view of the producers the quality represents a tool. Thanks to this tool is reached the loyalty of the customers, reduced their perceptiveness on a potential price change and kept the competitive position of the company. The goal of the dissertation was the analysis of the process quality management in the chosen organization and determination of the proposals leading to the improvement of this process. The measures which I proposed could improve the processes of the realization of the foundry products, increase the customers' satisfaction, increase the loyalty of the workers and contribute to the overall improvement of the quality management system of the company Sytech.

The goal of this diploma thesis was describe and analyze the quality management system in selected service company and suggest proposals for improvement. For drawing up of this diploma thesis was chosen company GEFOS inženýring, s.r.o. This diploma thesis was divided into two main parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on quality management, its history, principles and concepts. Important part was made of explainations of the terms as quality, quality management and quality management system. It was put emphasis on ISO standards. This acquired knowledge was used in the second part of diploma thesis, in practical part. First step of the second part was a description of the chosen company. The author answer questions like: What is its purpose? How was the development of this company? How does its organizational structure look like? What is the financial situation? The main part contains characterization of quality management system of the company GEFOS inženýring. First of all were described the beginnings, then current situation of the quality management system, processes and all informations and activities, which were contained in quality manual of the company. This part also contained costs of implementation and sustaining of the quality management system of the company. At the end were suggested the proposal for the improvement not only of the quality management system, but also of the all company.

Conjunto de ações para implementação de sistema de gestão da qualidade em laboratório de ensaio e calibração de instituições de ensino superior, de acordo com a norma ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025

A acreditação de laboratórios de instituições de ensino superior (IES) contribui para a inserção do país no comércio exterior e para a melhoria de suas condições socioeconômicas. Esta tese propõe um conjunto de ações, em diversos âmbitos, para viabilizar a obtenção e a manutenção da acreditação, de acordo com a norma ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025, em laboratórios de ensaio ou calibração de IES no Brasil. A tese apresenta inicialmente uma revisão bibliográfica sobre sistemas de gestão da qualidade (SGQ) em geral e em laboratórios de IES. Com o mapeamento do cenário da acreditação de laboratórios no continente americano, realizado através de consulta em sites de organismos de acreditação signatários do ILAC, foram identificados os países com as maiores percentagens de laboratórios de IES acreditados. A partir da análise das respostas dos questionários enviados a estes laboratórios, da revisão bibliográfica e da experiência profissional da autora, foi obtida uma compilação das principais dificuldades e problemas encontrados no processo de acreditação e foram propostas ações para mitigá-las. O estudo desenvolvido nesta tese permitiu concluir que, de modo geral, a percentagem de laboratórios de IES em relação ao total, na maior parte dos países estudados, ainda é baixa. Além disso, a adoção generalizada de um conjunto predeterminado de ações não é viável, devido à diversidade de instituições e de laboratórios. Porém, o conjunto de ações proposto nesta tese serve como instrumento de consulta para que os laboratórios, as instituições e os demais agentes que atuam no processo de implantação de SGQ e acreditação, possam montar planos de ação individualizados, adequados às suas características e necessidades individuais. Adicionalmente, este trabalho pode ser usado para o aprofundamento do tema por outros pesquisadores e para estimular uma discussão sobre a acreditação de laboratórios em IES. / Laboratory accreditation in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) contributes to the country's insertion in international trade and to the improvement of its socioeconomic conditions. This thesis proposes a set of actions to aid laboratories of Brazilian HEIs in obtaining and maintaining accreditation, according to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. This thesis begins with a literature review on quality management systems (QMS) in general and in HEI laboratories. Next, the current landscape of laboratory accreditation in the American Continent is presented, obtained by surveying the websites of accreditation bodies signatories to the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement. This allowed the identification of countries with highest percentages of accredited HEI laboratories. A complementary survey was conducted through questionnaires sent to these laboratories. Based on the literature review, the survey of accredited HEI laboratories, and the author's personal experience, the main difficulties and problems that occur in the accreditation process were compiled, and actions to mitigate them were proposed. The study conducted in this thesis leads to the conclusion that, in general, the percentage of accredited laboratories that belong to HEI is still small in American countries. Furthermore, the widespread adoption of a predefined set of actions is not feasible, given the diversity of institutions and laboratories. On the other hand, the set of actions proposed in this thesis may support the development of individual plans for laboratories, institutions and other agents involved in the QMS implementation and accreditation processes, adapted to their own needs and characteristics. In addition, this work affords informations for further studies by other researchers, and stimulates a discussion on HEI laboratory accreditation.

Dentre estas tecnologias destaca-se a Gestão da Qualidade, especialmente, os Sistemas de Gestão da Qualidade ISO 9001:2008. Com base em modelos lógicos causais, operacionais e teóricos, este estudo avaliou a implantação do Programa de Gestão da Qualidade IS0 9001:2008 na Coordenação Geral de Sangue e Hemoderivados, do Ministério da Saúde (CGSH/MS), identificando as motivações para implantação, o grau de implantação, os fatores que favoreceram e dificultaram e os efeitos decorrentes, percebidos até o momento. Constatou-se que o Sistema de Gestão da Qualidade (SGQ) encontra-se parcialmente implantado. Em termos de seus componentes, é completa a implantação dos documentos e procedimentos, e são parciais as implantações da capacitação da força de trabalho, do mapeamento e da padronização dos processos, da adequação aos requisitos da ISO 9001, das auditorias internas. Quanto ao componente da certificação externa, a implantação ainda é incipiente. Os motivos que levaram à implantação foram de caráter interno, relacionados à organização e à melhoria do desempenho. A certificação externa foi considerada motivo secundário. O elemento de maior destaque nos fatores que favoreceram a implantação foi a liderança desempenhada pelo Coordenador Geral, seguida e reproduzida pelos responsáveis de áreas junto à suas respectivas equipes de trabalho. As dificuldades identificadas foram relacionadas a aspectos operacionais como limitações de entendimento da norma, falta de sistema de informática e capacitação deficiente. Como efeitos, foram identificadas as melhorias da organização e da rotina com reflexos nos resultados organizacionais. O acréscimo de trabalho sentido pelos técnicos foi considerado um efeito negativo do programa, o que pode vir a ser uma ameaça à sua continuidade.

The aim of the "Quality management system in the selected company" dissertation work is an analysis of the current situation of the quality management system in a company and make suggestions to improve the current system. For my dissertation work I have chosen engineering company Motorpal, a. s., which is the engineering company and the one of the leading producers of devices for diesel engines to tractors, ships and construction machine.The work consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The first part describes terms like quality, importance of quality, factors that affect quality, management principles of quality, economy of quality, quality in pre-production stages, quality planning and quality control tools. The second part is primarily focused on the quality costs, which is the most problematic part of the quality management in the company. In this part of the dissertation work is also briefly described the company and its history, company's production program and customers and company's financial situation, processes and quality management system.

Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / Desde 2004, o CONAMA (Conselho Nacional de Meio Ambiente), através de sua Resolução n 344, vem exigindo que as análises físicas, químicas e biológicas em matrizes ambientais sejam realizadas em laboratórios ambientais que possuam sua competência técnica reconhecida formalmente através da acreditação concedida pelo Inmetro. Assim, algumas Unidades Federativas vem adotando o mesmo critério para cadastramento de laboratórios em seus bancos de dados. Com isso, houve um crescimento no número de acreditações: em 2002 haviam 12 laboratórios acreditados e em 2012 foram concedidas 198 acreditações a laboratórios ambientais. A adoção da ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 como padrão de trabalho, além de atender as legislações vigentes, possui as seguintes vantagens: satisfação do cliente, credibilidade e melhoria contínua do laboratório, melhoria da capacitação profissional e a conquista de um mercado mais amplo. Buscando adequar-se a essa realidade, apesar de todas as dificuldades inerentes ao processo de implementação dos requisitos da ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 em laboratórios universitários e de pesquisa, o Laboratório de Engenharia Sanitária (LES/DESMA) priorizou a adequação da determinação da demanda química de oxigênio (DQO) aos requisitos técnicos da ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025:2005, por ser um parâmetro indicador global de matéria orgânica em águas residuárias e superficiais e ser amplamente utilizado no monitoramento de estações de tratamento de efluentes líquidos e pelo fato deste poder ser determinado por duas técnicas analíticas distintas: espectrofotometria e colorimetria. Em razão deste cenário, o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho dos métodos 5220 B e 5220 D descritos pelo Standard Methods, através dos parâmetros de validação de métodos analíticos. Ambos os métodos mostraram-se adequados ao uso a que se destinam e o limite de quantificação determinado apresentou-se compatível com o praticado com os laboratórios acreditados. As incertezas foram calculadas de forma a quantificar a qualidade do resultado. / Since 2004, CONAMA - National Council for the Environment - through its Resolution No. 344, has demanded that the physical, chemical and biological environmental matrices are performed in environmental laboratories that have formally acknowledged their technical competence through accreditation granted by Inmetro. Since then, some Federal Units has adopted the same criteria for laboratories registration in their databases. With that, there was an increase in the number of accreditations: in 2002 there were 12 accredited laboratories and in 2012 were granted accreditation to 198 environmental laboratories. The adoption of ABNT NBR ISO / IEC 17025 as the standard of work, in addition to attend the existing laws, has the following advantages: customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and credibility of the lab, professional skills improvement and the gain of a broader market. Seeking to adapt to this reality, despite of all the difficulties inherent in the process of implementing the requirements of ABNT NBR ISO / IEC 17025 in university and research laboratories, the Laboratory of Sanitary Engineering - LES / DESMA - prioritized to determine the suitability of Chemical Oxygen Demand - COD to the technical requirements of ABNT NRB ISO / IEC 17025:2005, as a global indicator parameter of organic matter in wastewater and surface and be widely used in monitoring liquid effluent treatment stations and because this it can be determined by two different analytical techniques: colorimetry and spectrophotometry. Given this scenario, the objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of the methods 5220 B and 5220 D described by Standard Methods, using validation parameters of analytical methods. Both methods proved to be suitable for the intended use and the limit of quantification determined appeared to be compatible with the practiced with accredited laboratories. The uncertainties were calculated to quantify the quality of the result.

This diploma thesis called Quality Management In The Selected Company is focused on quality management system, its oganisation, management and development. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse chosen areas of implemented quality management system in the selected company, to identify bottlenecks and to suggest changes and to propose recommendations for achieving better results in this area. The analysed company is called EBAS spol. s r.o. which focuses on metal and wood production. The theoretical review is dedicated to the issue of quality management, starting with term and concept of quality and quality management, followed by identification of advantages and importance of quality management system. Certain attention is paid to quality management processes, and last but not least, costs of quality and documentation in quality management system. The practical part of the diploma thesis begins with the company in general, especially with company history, its activities, portfolio and organization structure, followed by the analysis of selected areas of current quality mangement system applied in the company. The analysis includes the analysis of processes of the quality management system, documentation of QMS, quality goals and politics, supplier rating system and at last but not least, customer satisfaction monitoring system. Based on this analysis there are several reccomendations proposed, which should lead not only to increased quality management system efficiency, but also to increased efficiency of company in general.

The diploma thesis is focused on the performance evaluation of key suppliers in the terms of quality in selected cosmetic company. The aim of this thesis is to propose a solution of the assigned project task, based on short-term internship and theoretical knowledge, concerning the graphical visualization of key suppliers performance evaluation. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes basic information about management quality system, it´s principles, conceptions and tools. There is also a closer look at the importance of purchasing department and the suppliers performance evaluating methods. The practical part includes characteristics of selected cosmetic company and processes of the quality control department are described, including laboratory tests. Withing the given project, the practical part is further divided into 6 tasks. The main task involves designing a platform for a simple and effective evaluation of the key suppliers performance in terms of quality. Other sub-tasks involved the compilation of strategic suppliers, a proposal for categorizing suppliers, and for the needs of the organization, also a procedure for communication with suppliers in case the quality requirements were not met.
