2	Skeva livslinjer och tickande kroppar : Tid och rum i att leva som ickebinär transperson Streger, Robin* January 2024 (has links) This master’s thesis investigates normative lifelines, time and space in relation to a nonbinary gender identity. My research questions focused on nonbinary aging, orientation in regards to identity and spaces, and views on maturity. I wanted to know how temporality and spatiality can be used as a theoretic framework to better understand nonbinary people’s experiences. This was achieved by interviewing seven Swedish nonbinary subjects aged 30-41 about norms regarding time and place. The results show that the nonbinary informants use gender norms to orient themselves in relation to gender identity. Aging is shown to be a gendered practice and therefore nonbinary aging and what the future will hold is made unclear for the participants. Nonbinary people seek not to be a hindrance or annoyance to the outside world and are aware that their identity often is viewed as childish, made up and illegitimate. Despite fears that they take up too much space I have shown that there is not enough space for nonbinary subjects to comfortably find a place in most rooms. 3	"Jag har nog bara följt med strömmen..." : En kvalitativ studie om kollektivt boende, krononormativitet och att queera tiden Sabato, Simone January 2021 (has links) The aim of this study is to investigate the experience of people living in collective housing in relation to chrononormative time. I have interviewed people from the ages 20-30 who have experience of living in collective housing at some point in their lives. My theoretical framework includes chrononormativity, queer time and queer kinship. I have also used a phenomenological perspective on orientations and straight lines to gain a deeper understanding of the participants' experiences with timelines. The methods used are semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis. The result of this study shows that there are specific norms in collective housing that the participants related or deviated from. It became clear that the participants were affected by the pressure of chrononormativity and norms about aging, though in different ways. All participants negotiated with these norms as a way to make sense of themselves and their choices in life. 4	When Camp becomes a Method : a conceptualization of conversational performatives and curatorial agencies within ‘the camp-eye’ Apelgren, L. Petersdotter January 2020 (has links) The aim of following thesis is to demonstrate the potentials of reassessing camp into a question of method. While others have argued for the definition of camp to lie in: an aesthetic; a question of taste; the extravagant theatrical; the male gay sensibility; or as an expression of parody, this thesis suggests that camp is to be found in the performative act of readings. With emphasis on ‘decoding language’, ‘the signifier/signified’ and ‘the camp eye’ I will argue for the relevance of ‘camp as method’ and situate former stated in relation to Bhabha’s concept of ‘conversational art’; a deconstructional examination of values of aesthetic experiences set into dialogue. Demonstrating for such conceptualization three theoretical approaches and themes will be outlined. First, a historical overview of camp followed by a reassessment of camp into a method. Second, an examination of possible extensions to the concept of rereading strategies within camp, including theories on queer phenomenology; queer space and time; topias and non-places; theories of curatorial methods and its agencies. And last, I will do an analysis of Moyra Davey’s video Hemlock Forest and show how Davey’s use and reference towards Chantal Akerman can be read as camp and constitutes ‘camp as method’ according to suggested reassessment. 5	"...it can even make you live longer" : En narrativ analys av vilket sätt femininitet, bisexualitet och flersamhet representeras i filmen Puccini for Beginners Borgenklint, Sofie January 2017 (has links) With this essay, I’m reviewing with a narrative analysis, describing in what way the standards of feminism, bisexuality and non-monogomy is being represented in the movie Puccini for beginners. I’m reviewing this in support of a queer and straight time. As a complement for queer and straight time, I’m presenting different theoretical concepts, which are useful for the analyze of feminism, bisexuality and non-monogamy. The analyze is based on the categories of Labov. In which way the narritve is constructed, as well as in what way feminism, bisexuality and non-monogamy are being represented. Finally I’m summing-up how I answered my questions regarding straight and queer time in perspective of feminism, bisexuality and non-monogamy.
