Průmysl 4.0 jako součást veřejně-politické agendy v ČR / Industry 4.0 as part of the public policy agenda in the Czech RepublicBjaček, Jakub January 2020 (has links)
The topic of the diploma thesis is the development of the policy of Industry 4.0 in the Czech Republic. The main idea of this initiative is to respond to the coming fourth industrial revolution, which will affect not only the means of production, but also society. The concept of Industry 4.0 is thus very heterogeneous, affecting not only the change in the means of production and changes in the labor market, but also educational policy or the digitization of public administration. It is therefore an important issue that is the focus of the functioning of a wide range of actors in various areas of public policy. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the agenda of Industry 4.0 with selected main representatives who respond to this topic (from the ranks of formalized institutions). The question that the thesis tries to answer is what we can expect from the coming fourth industrial revolution in the Czech Republic and what threats, and conversely the benefits, can be expected. Especially in the labor market, which poses a specific threat to the Czech Republic, which is a highly industrialized state. The research part is focused on introduction of Industry 4.0 policies in the Czech Republic and its current form. The research was carried mainly through specific policy documents (strategies, action...

The Automation Journey : Small and meduim-sized companies' challenges and decision-making parameters for automationWarsäter, Anton, Johansson, Jesper January 2020 (has links)
In general, the degree of automation for manufacturing companies in Sweden seems to be fine, but upon a deeper examination it appears that the development in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is slowly progressing. In order for Sweden to retain its prominent role as an industrial nation, increased automation and robotization in SMEs are required. Therefore, the study aims to create an increased understanding of SME challenges and influencing factors for automation decisions. In the study, qualitative interviews are conducted with five small and medium-sized companies. The study is based on a framework consisting of collected theoretical material and is based on three identified main areas; Production engineering challenges, internal challenges, and external impact. The study shows that SMEs tend to face a variety of challenges that automation can be a solution to, but also that some problems can exist within the implementation of automation. It also indicates that relationships exist between companies' challenges, but that they may also differ depending on whether companies act as subcontractors or deliver products directly to end customers.

After the economic crisis in 2008, construction activity in France grew rapidly. The increase in demand for building materials was accompanied by an increase in the quantities of construction waste and emitted CO2. In 2018, CO2 emissions from human activities reached a world historic level of 37.1 billion tons. This encourages the development of building materials that meet the changing needs of today's and tomorrow's society. Geopolymers, prepared by alkaline activation, present an opportunity to produce new, more efficient and environment-friendly materials in the construction sector. On the other hand, industrialization and robotization are emerging in the construction sector, with many benefits such as increased productivity, reduced waste, cost and arduous work, as well as improved quality and safety. This doctoral thesis is being conducted to address these scientific challenges and issues. These are divided into three research directions: the development of new geopolymer brick formulations, the integration of geopolymer materials into the industrialization and robotization of construction processes, and finally the environmental and economic assessment of the new automated manufacturing system.
