We find in the boiling of the politics of the 60 s, the ideal timing to measure the power of the city. At that time the so-called Queen of Borborema headed some measures to make its industrialization possible, building the myth of leading vocation the city has in inland of the northeast region. The administration of Williams Arruda is seen as the main period of the development projects during all the political and socialagitation resulting from the coup d'etat against the Brazilian Democratic Institutions in 1964. Moreover, the impact of the developmental measures in the economy of the city, considering the changes in access to the public services in the city, such as the changes in the educational area, in which the main objective was to stimulate the qualified, working force for the factories to come at that time. For the research we used data published by IBGE, results released by TRE-PB, news sources from that time as well as existing academic work on the subject to bring out the debate. The research satisfies the line of research Regional History , focusing the discussion of the political history of Campina Grande, and in the possibilities to contextualization with the national sociopolitical context. / Esta pesquisa aborda o município de Campina Grande PB, ao ressaltar a peculiaridade das políticas públicas postuladas nesta cidade, que se apresenta como uma permanente liderança regional. Encontramos na ebulição política da década de 1960, a temporalidade ideal para dimensionarmos a viabilidade da força da cidade em questão, pois na época em foco, a chamada Rainha da Borborema , capitaneou uma série de medidas visando a industrialização municipal, prática esta, que construiu o mito da vocação da liderança campinense em todo o interior do Nordeste. Ao perceber a administração Williams Arruda como a apoteose destes projetos desenvolvimentistas em meio a toda agitação político-social resultante do Golpe de Estado impetrado contra as instituições democráticas brasileiras em 1964. E ainda, o impacto das medidas desenvolvimentistas na economia da cidade, analisando as alterações no acesso aos serviços públicos municipais, como as mudanças na área educacional, onde o objetivo principal era fomentar mão-de-obra qualificada para as fábricas que estavam por vir. Utilizamos em nossa pesquisa, recenseamentos publicados pelo IBGE, divulgação de resultados do TRE-PB, além das fontes jornalísticas, as quais aliadas a produção acadêmica existente procuramos compor o enredo e problematizar o tema em debate. A presente pesquisa se adequa a linha de pesquisa História Regional , onde está focada na problematização da história política de Campina Grande, e nas possibilidades de criar vínculos com o contexto sócio-político nacional.

To achieve the proposed objective follow some questions: (i) What are the aspects that we take into account the historical source for conjecture profile that have the history books, in this case, regional textbooks? (ii) What is the role played by cultural heritage in regional textbooks?; (iii) As the regional textbook organizes their teaching strategies and historical perspectives to support the teaching work with the Cultural Heritage in history classes?; (iv) the pedagogical approach of the work contributes to the development of historical knowledge related to cultural heritage as living space and seized daily?; (v) As the works foster notions of identity and memory in working with the Cultural Heritage status?. To answer these questions we analyzed seven textbooks on all the publications present in Guides Textbook since the inclusion of this type of work in the publication (2004, 2007, 2010, 2012). Systematize the contributions of CHOPPIN (2004) and FREITAS (2009) to think the textbook and the regional textbook, CHOAY (2004), CHARTIER (1991) and FONSECA (2009) in the construction of Cultural Heritage notions of representation, and COOPER (2012), CAINELLI (2006), and CAIMI and OLIVEIRA (2014; 2013) and CAIMI (2010) to discuss the demands of teaching regional history/location. Before the investigative projects carried out here, it was possible to understand that regional textbooks, mostly present the Pernambuco State Cultural Heritage as a symbolic creation, inherent human historical production, while it was present at different times of the didactic narrative. We also analyzed that pedagogical approach calls for the informative content about the heritage, while that discredits the character of questioning offered by the object under study. / Esse trabalho teve por objetivo geral analisar as formas como os livros didáticos de História de Pernambuco organizam e interpretam, histórica e pedagogicamente, os conteúdos referentes ao Patrimônio Cultural do estado. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto seguimos alguns questionamentos: (i) Quais os aspectos que devemos levar em conta para conjecturar o perfil de fonte histórica que possuem os livros didáticos de História, neste caso, os livros didáticos regionais? (ii) Qual o lugar ocupado pelo Patrimônio Cultural nas obras didáticas regionais?; (iii) Como o livro didático regional organiza suas estratégias didáticas e as perspectivas históricas para subsidiar o trabalho docente com o Patrimônio Cultural nas aulas de História?; (iv) A abordagem pedagógica das obras contribui para o desenvolvimento do saber histórico relacionado ao Patrimônio Cultural como espaço vivido e apreendido cotidianamente?; (v) Como as obras fomentam noções de identidade e memória no trabalho com o Patrimônio Cultural do estado?. Para responder a tais questões analisamos 7 obras didáticas referentes a todas as publicações presentes nos Guias do Livro Didático desde a inserção desse tipo de obra na publicação (2004, 2007, 2010, 2012). Sistematizamos as contribuições de CHOPPIN (2004) e FREITAS (2009) para pensar o livro didático e o livro didático regional, CHOAY (2004), CHARTIER (1991) e FONSECA (2009) na construção das noções de Patrimônio Cultural e Representação, e COOPER (2012), CAINELLI (2006), OLIVEIRA e CAIMI (2014;2013) e CAIMI (2010) para discutir as demandas do ensino de História Regional/Local. Diante dos empreendimentos investigativos aqui realizados, foi possível compreender que as obras didáticas regionais, em sua maioria, apresentam o Patrimônio Cultural do estado de Pernambuco como criação simbólica, inerente a produção histórica humana, estando ele presente em momentos distintos da narrativa didática. Analisamos também que abordagem pedagógica preconiza o caráter informativo do conteúdo sobre os patrimônios, ao passo em que desprestigia o caráter de problematização ofertado pelo objeto em estudo.

With boots and bombachas (a typical pair of pants worn by people called gaúchos in Rio Grande do Sul/Brasil): an anthropological study on Gaúchas (the so called culture from the gaúchos) identities and Traditionalism is the title of the dissertation submitted to the Graduation Program in Social Sciences of the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil, in the Social Identities and Ethnic Groups Area, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ceres Karan Brum. The aim of the present research is referring to gaucho s staging and identities meanings in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Within this context the paper investigates the circularity of the interpretive flows throughout the history of Rio Grande do Sul and, still nowadays, on the emblematic character of the gaúcho, including the representations and practices of countryman, projections and interfaces between the symbolic farm laborer and the real farm laborer, their approaches and their distances, their symbolic universes being them: shared, disputed or separated. It is proposed to understand this process as a circularity, forming interpretative flows between the rural and urban, between the countryside and the city, understanding this relationship as a dialogue, with exchanges and interfaces between traditionalist men from the city and those who are from the farms, who distribute these identities in a constant and intermittent way, not building a single track that could be modeled and copied, true and false, real and imaginary. It is also tried to demonstrate that the identity of the urban gaúcho, created from the model of rural south-Brazilian men, is reinvented in the city and it is developed in the country with new practices and representations, which are also appropriate and re-signified in the farms. By doing so, the country men give a new meaning to the traditional practices and return to the city with new practices and a representations about what is to be a gaúcho. Throughout this process it is tried to understand the context between country and city, with a constant flux of interpretations and re-interpretations of the same symbolic universe, which are the interfaces between the traditionalists from the city and those from the farms. / De bota e bombacha: Um estudo antropológico sobre as identidades gaúchas e o tradicionalismo é o título do texto dissertativo apresentado ao programa de Pós Graduação em Ciências Sociais, da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Área de Concentração Identidades Sociais e Etnicidade, sob orientação da Profª Drª Ceres Karan Brum. O tema central desta pesquisa se refere às representações e as significações das identidades do gaúcho no Rio Grande do Sul. Nesse contexto, busco entender a circularidade dos fluxos interpretativos dados ao longo da história do Rio Grande do Sul e ainda hoje, sobre a figura emblemática do gaúcho, entre as representações tradicionalistas1 e as práticas dos peões de estância, as projeções e interfaces entre o peão simbólico e o peão real, suas aproximações e seus distanciamentos, seus universos simbólicos compartilhados, disputados ou dissociados. Proponho entender este processo como uma circularidade, formando fluxos interpretativos entre o rural e o urbano, entre o campo e a cidade, entendendo esta relação como um diálogo, no sentido de trocas e interfaces entre peões tradicionalistas e peões de estância, que fazem circular estas identidades de maneira constante e intermitente, não constituindo uma via única de modelo e cópia, verdadeiro e falso, real e imaginário. Procuro demonstrar que essa identidade gauchesca urbana, criada ao modelo do homem rural sulino, reinventa-se na cidade e devolve ao campo novas práticas e representações, que por sua vez, são também apropriadas e re-significadas nas estâncias. Desta forma, os peões de estância re-significam as práticas tradicionalistas e devolvem para a cidade novas práticas e representações sobre o gauchismo. É dessa maneira que busco entender o contexto campo e cidade. Um constante fluxo de interpretações e re-interpretações acerca de um mesmo universo simbólico, que são, as interfaces entre os peões tradicionalistas e peões de estância.

(in English): The subject of this thesis is the modernization of rural areas. I use the case studies of three villages (Třebohostice, Mečichov, Chrášťovice), with similar amounts of owned land and population sizes, to analyze this process. I approach the study as a micro-historical probe. The main sources of empirical material are the local chronicles and archival documents from the local governments (MNV and largely ONV Strakonice and OV KSC Strakonice). I supplement this "history from above" with oral history interviews, which I use to glean how collectivization was evaluated retrospectively and the ways in which it was seen as having contributed to the local communities. I map the impact of the emerging collective farms, whether positive or negative, on the development of the individual villages, and describe the changes that took place in them.

The diploma thesis titled "The use of regional history in history classes with examples from Kladno region" deals with the topic of regional history, the history of the Kladno region and questionnaire about teaching regional history at schools in the Kladno region. It also offers a thought how this topic can be included in the history classes. One of the primary objectives of this thesis was to explain the importance of regional history and its inclusion in education. Relevant specialized literature was thoroughly analyzed for this purpose. The inclusion of this topic is especially important in order for the pupils to better understand various historical phenomena through an environment which is familiar to them. Another important objective was to find out whether regional history is being taught at all at schools in the Kladno region, what forms are used for this purpose, and which topics are included. In order to find the answers a questionnaire was sent to the teachers and pupils in the Kladno region. The results suggest that the majority of teachers attempt to include regional history in their history classes, even when faced with unfavorable time allotment. The aim of this thesis is to point out the various contributions (cultural, economic, political, entrepreneurial, etc.) of the aristocratic family Hildprandt von Ottenhausen for Blatná region. At the begining, various views on the determination of the Blatná reigon are compared. The history of the family line is also reviewed. Most attention is given to the activites of the Hildprandt family which were beneficial for the Blatná region. Hildprandts von Ottenhausen contributed to the development of the Blatná castle, they also remade the adjacent forest to a park. Thanks to them, industrial activities (sugar industry, distilling industry or beer industry) flourished in this region and many people became employed in these companies or on the farm owned by the Hildprandts. Many prominent persons visited Blatná, as guests of the noble family, amongst these persons was Franz Ferdinand d'Este, heir to the Austrian monarchy, or an indian maharaja. Hildprandts employed some of the Czech patriots (Jan Evangelista Purkyně a Antonín Jaroslav Vrťátko), those patriots taught next generations of the family love for their country. This diploma thesis deals with regional history and its incorporation into teaching through project method on second level of basic school. The aim of the thesis is to create a project proposal based on theoretical knowledge. Project method of teaching implemented within the Citizenship education and History for the second grade of basic school. The first part of work is defined the concept regional history and its location in FEP for Elementary Education and the attention is paid to interdisciplinary links between Citizenship education and History subjects. Then are captured regional history knowledge needed to implement the project. This part is divided into several historical stages with an emphasis on the period of World War II due to sufficient information for the preparatory phase of the project. The next chapter informs about Project teaching method, its historical development, individual project phases and the distinction between thematic and project teaching. The positives and negatives of project teaching are also presented. The final part of the diploma thesis presents the concept of didactic project and describes partial didactic procedures aiming to implement proposed project. Influential Factors on Historic Interpretation: A Case Study of Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site

Influences on the interpretation of Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site have caused many alterations to the site and the presentation of its history. Scholars have described how public history sites have continually expanded their interpretations as growing desires and interests from external influences such as the general public, state agencies, and donors. However, Tipton-Haynes has also faced many internal influences. While the creators of the site aided in the limitation and exclusion of the site’s vital history, over time the involvement and opinions of the board of trustee members, directors, and staff shaped an increasingly inclusive and expansive interpretation of the site. Therefore, the experience at Tipton-Haynes suggests that scholars should also consider the innerworkings of a historic site and the opinions of not just the community but also the opinions and choices of the people involved in the site and its creation. The inclusivity allows for a more expansive history while also creating new connections between the history of Tipton-Haynes and the general public.

Vlastivědný projekt: Cestování časem městem Aš / Time traveling through the town Aš : A history project

This diploma thesis deals with the history of the town Aš. The first historical part describes the history of the town since the first mentions to the present days. During the historical development of the region as well as the town itself the diploma thesis focuses mainly on the interesting or unusual events or the differences between the development of the Czech territory central region and the region of Aš. In this diploma thesis is also emphasised the historical development of the textile industry that was interwoven with this region. The didactic part depicts the topic connected with the educational area called Man and his world, specifically describes the thematic areas Place where we live and Man and Time. It also describes the connection between the historical education and project-based learning. The project Time traveling through the town Aš focuses on getting to know the region for the fourth graders. The pupils work with historical materials, meet the town's history and compare the historical and present situations. The project helps the pupils understand the particularity of the place they live in and helps them create a favourable relationship with the town.
