The development of globalization and internationalization, increasement of mobility of dwellers, economic growth and other factors lead to the formation recreational system in Lithuania. Nowadays recreation becomes especially significant, this is the reason why researches of theoretical and practical aspects of quality management are important nowadays. The object of this work is the complex of educational and organanizational peculiarities of “Alytus sports and recreation centre”. As a consequence, the purpose of this work is to evaluate the services of recreational centres from consumer’s point of view. The tasks of this paper have supposed the relevant structure of this work: initially, the reader is primed about the concept, essence, functions and types of recreation; after that the analysis of methodological peculiarities of managing recreational activity is accomplished; furthermore the most relevant competencies of public organization “Alytus sports and recreation centre” activity are evaluated; at last, a survey of services provided by public organization “Alytus sports and recreation centre” is accomplished. Aplinkos apsaugos problema aktuali ne tik mūsų šalyje, bet ir visame pasaulyje. Norint išsaugoti unikalius gamtos ir kultūros paveldo objektus steigiamos saugomos teritorijos. Tačiau norint jas išsaugoti reikia ir visuomenės sąmoningumo. Todėl mokyklose į Pradinio ir pagrindinio ugdymo bendrąsias programas integruojamos bendrųjų kompetencijų programos, kuriomis siekiama išugdyti visapusišką asmenybę. Saugomos teritorijos turi vykdyti edukacines programas, šviesti visuomenę, o labiausiai bendradarbiauti su formaliojo ir neformaliojo ugdymo institucijomis. Tyrimo objektas: Edukacinė ir rekreacinė veikla Žagarės regioniniame parke. Tyrimo tikslas – Atskleisti teorines ir praktines edukacinės ir rekreacinės veiklos Žagarės reginiame parke galimybes. Tyrimo metodai: Dokumentų analizė, literatūros šaltinių analizė, interviu, anketinė apklausa, kokybinė tyrimo rezultatų analizė, kiekybinė tyrimo rezultatų analizė, aprašomoji statistika. Tyrimo imtis ir organizavimas – Tyrimas buvo atliktas trimis etapais. Pirmas etapas: interviu metodu apklaustas Žagarės regioninio parko direkcijos darbuotojas. Antrasis - anketine apklausa apklausti 119 Žagarės gimnazijos mokinių, o trečiojo tyrimo etapo metu interviu metodu buvo apklausta Žagarės gimnazijos mokytoja. Atlikus visus tris tyrimo etapus paaiškėjo, kad Žagarės regioninio parko edukaciniai ir rekreaciniai ištekliai puikiai tinka leisti laisvalaikį ir mokytis. Protected territories are being set in order to preserve unique objects of nature and culture. But public awareness is needed too, in order to save those. So generic competence programs are being integrated into primary and compulsory education framework programs in order to help form versatile personalities. Protected areas are there to pursue educational programs, educate society and mostly important to cooperate with formal and informal educational institutions. Research object: Educational and recreational activities in Žagarė Regional Park. Goal of research – Detecting theoretical and practical opportunities of educational and recreational activities in Žagarė Regional Park. Methods of research: document analysis, analysis of literature, interviews, questionnaire survey, qualitative and quantitative analysis of survey results, descriptive statistics. Research undertake and organisation: Survey was done in three stages. First stage: interviewing a member of Žagarė Regional Park Direction.
