Essais D'herméneutiaue (1969). O propósito da tese é estudar e dar a conhecer o pensamento de Ricoeur, mostrar o que ele possui de mais distintivo em hermenêutica e psicanálise. É sobretudo propósito da tese mostrar como hermenêutica e psicanálise se interrelacionam no seu pensamento. Ricoeur possui uma das mais criativas hermenêuticas da atualidade. É um arguto e competente leitor de Freud. O relacionamento que propõe entre as duas disciplinas é inédito. A tese está dividida em 6 capítulos. O primeiro capítulo introduz a tese e o segundo o pensamento de Ricoeur. O terceiro capítulo trata da sua hermenêutica, o quarto de sua visão de psicanálise. O quinto versa sobre o encontro entre hermenêutica e psicanálise. O último capítulo são as considerações finais do autor da tese / Abstract: This is a thesis on the French philosopher Paul Ricoeur ( 1913 - ), more precisely the thesis is on his hermeneutics and on his view of psychoanalysis during the period of 1960 to 1969, when he produced three books of major importance: La Symbolique du Mal (1960), De L'lnterprétation: Essai sur Freud (1965) and Le Conflit des Interprétations. Essais D'herméneutique (1969). The purpose of the thesis is to study and to disclose the thought of Ricoeur, it aims to show what is more distinctive in his hermeneutics and in his view of psychoanalysis. The special purpose of the thesis is to show the relationship of hermeneutics and psychoanalysis in his thought. Ricoeur owns one of the most creative hermeneutics at the present time. He is a sharp and competent reader of Freud. The relationship between hermeneutics and psychoanalysis that he proposes is inedited. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is an introduction of the thesis itself and the second of the thought of Ricoeur. The third chapter deals with his hermeneutics and the fourth with his view of psychoanalysis. The fifth is about the encounter of hermeneutics and psychoanalysis. A reflexão sobre tais temas ampara-se nos textos do filósofo Paul Ricoeur, o qual nos conduz à compreensão do significado da constituição do si mesmo e nos mostra as suas diferentes abordagens hermenêuticas. Este trabalho pretende levar à compreensão da educação como um processo que se desenvolve na constante busca da verdade, em especial quando se trata da verdade pessoal, ou seja, da busca da própria identidade. A reflexão inicia-se com amediaçêio do simbolo, sua polissemia e riqueza que nos leva ao reconhecimento e à compreensão da identidade simbolizada. Mas o símbolo não basta, requer ser enriquecido com "o texto". É o texto narração como trama, como" sintese do heterogêneo" que nos leva ao reconhecimento da identidade subjetiva como identidade Narrativa. E nessa forma de linguagem revela-se a dialética da identidade: a identidade enquanto "idem" e a identidade enquanto "ipse". Na área da ética mostra-se o desdobramento da ipseidade, a dialética entre a ipseidade e a alteridade e a finalidade ética que atribuímos à educação. This essay explores the idea of revelation of two French philosophers, Jean-Luc Marion and Paul Ricoeur. Ricoeur and Marion are very important figures not only in contemporary continental philosophy, but also in their contributions to the discussion of religion, or what some may call the "theological turn." Marion contends that revelation is the saturated phenomenon ' par excellence', free from the constraints of reason and metaphysics. For Ricoeur, a longer route in approaching the phenomenology of religion through the detour of hermeneutics is much needed. Such a longer path serves to concretely ground the discussion of revelation in a historic, linguistic, and textual milieu. Therefore, while Marion thinks that revelation is immediate and unconditionally given, Ricoeur maintains that revelation as manifestation names the possibility for biblical Scripture, and through hermeneutic interpretation, is able to open a world into which one might project one's ownmost possibilities.

Doctorado en filosofía con mención en estética y teoría dle arte) / Esta tesis consiste en una investigación de carácter interdisciplinario acerca de la relación entre tiempo histórico, tiempo litúrgico y tiempo musical, a partir de los planteamientos de Paul Ricoeur en Tiempo y narración y en función de una obra contemporánea chilena particular, la Misa de Chilenía “En lo humano lo divino” de Fidel Sepúlveda y Fernando Carrasco. Para ello se recurre a un marco teórico amplio y “polifónico” que, además de Ricoeur, incluye principalmente aportes filosóficos, teológicos, antropológicos, históricos, estéticos y musicológicos con el fin de explicitar las condicionantes culturales que inciden en un trabajo de esta índole, exponer los principales hitos de la reflexión sobre el tiempo musical y mostrar el rito de la misa y la música como modalidades de narración al aplicar los conceptos de trama, mimesis y transtextualidad. Sobre esta base se muestra el vínculo entre palabra y sonido musical en el caso de la configuración temporal de obras musicales vocales y se expone la articulación entre tiempo musical y otros tiempos como posibilidad de mediación temporal en tanto tiempo narrado en el caso general de la misa musical y en el caso particular de la Misa de Chilenía. El resultado de esta investigación conduce a la formulación de la noción de escucha desdoblada o escucha al cuadrado como vivencia peculiar con esta obra músicopoética, la que a su vez nos conduce a la reflexión sobre el tiempo, la música, el sentido y la identidad.

This thesis analyses those differences In interpretation which occur when separate literary-theoretical approaches are applied to biblical texts. Hans Frei suggests that the biblical texts describe the world in a way which he calls "realistic narrative". Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic recognises the disclosive power of the text and translates the subject matter of the text into a "way-of- being-in-the-world". Thus, the primary identity disclosed by the biblical narratives differs. For Frei, it is the identity of Jesus which is disclosed; for Ricoeur, it is "our common human Christian identity". These two thinkers have usually been compared theologically. However, I contend that the theological investigations of both Frei and Ricoeur have been influenced by the literary approaches which guide their theological work. I give an exposition of this relationship in chapter one. In chapter two, I sketch out the implications of this relationship, focusing on the issue of narrative identity. In the final chapter, critiques of both systems are investigated as I attempt to deal with the force of these objections. This dissertation investigates Frei's and Ricoeur's construals of narrative identity (as constructed through the reading of Biblical texts). My working hypothesis is that the construals of identity formulated by Frei and Ricoeur rely upon formalist, narrative "interpretations". My thesis contends that in their respective approaches to the notion of narrative identity, neither thinker has completely abandoned his early literary-theoretical roots in his theological proposals.
