Hypermediale Navigation in Vorlesungsaufzeichnungen: Nutzung und automatische Produktion hypermedial navigierbarer Aufzeichnungen von Lehrveranstaltungen

Mertens, Robert 08 November 2007 (has links)
In the mid nineties, electronic lecture recording has emerged as a new area of research. The aim behind most early research activities in this field has been the cost-efficient production of e-learning content as a by-product of traditional lectures. These efforts have led to the development of systems that can produce recordings of a lecture in a fraction of the time and also for a fraction of the cost that other methods require for the production of similar e-learning content. While the production of lecture recordings has been investigated thoroughly, the conditions under which the content produced can be used efficiently shifted into focus of research only recently. Employing lecture recordings in the right way is, however, crucial for the effectiveness with which they can be used. Therefore this thesis gives a detailed overview of archetypical application scenarios. A closer examination of these scenarios reveals the importance of navigation in recorded lectures as a critical factor for teaching and learning success. In order to improve navigation, a hypermedia navigation concept for recorded lectures is developed. Hypermedia navigation has proven a successful navigation paradigm in classic text- and picture-based media. In order to be adapted for time based media such as recorded lectures, a number of conceptual changes have to be applied. In this thesis, a hypermedia navigation concept is developed that tackles this problem by combining time- and structure-based navigation paradigms and by modifying existing hypermedia navigation facilities.Even a highly developed navigation concept for recorded lectures can, however, not be put into practice efficiently when production costs of suitable recordings are too high. Therefore this thesis also shows that suitable lecture recordings can be produced with minimal production cost. This endeavour is realized by the implementation of a fully automatic production chain for recording and indexing lectures.

Datavisualisering av geospatial demografisk data med SVG och Canvas : Jämförelse av renderingstid mellan utritningstekniker med JavaScript biblioteken D3.js och ECharts / Data visualization of geospatial demographic data using SVG and Canvas : Comparison of rendering time between data visualization techniques using the JavaScript libraries D3.js and ECharts

Ul Haq, Navida Saman January 2023 (has links)

A feasibility study of building Set-top box user interfaces using Scalable Vector Graphics

Vinkvist, Fredrik January 2008 (has links)
<p>An IPTV Set-top box enables the possibility of doing much more than decodingtelevision content. Its Ethernet interface gives it the same possibilities to communicatewith the outside world as any network device. This enables a wide rangeof services from internet radio to acting as a digital media receiver in your homenetwork. These highly interactive services increase the demands for responsiveand visually attractive user interfaces.Due to the cost-sensitive market of IPTV STBs the preferred platform to developthe user interface is the HTML browser as it allows for fast developmenttimes and low costs. As a W3C standard it also offers high portability and hardwareabstraction making it easy to use more than one STB vendor. The cons ofHTML based GUIs are low performance and lacklustre graphics. This thesis aims to find out if SVG can be used to achieve rich, scalable and animatedgraphics with high performance and still keep the attractive characteristicsof HTML.To do this much effort was put into identifying the strenghts and weaknesses ofSVG. The lessons learned resulted in an SVG AJAX framework called TOIXSVGmaking it possible to develop SVG GUIs in the same manner as modern Rich InternetApplications, enabling component reuse to make sure development time scalespreferably with the scope and complexity of the user interface. Along with theframework several new widgets had to be developed to achieve the targeted functionality. As a proof of concept a mock-up GUI was created with the frameworkand widgets.</p>

Metodika výuky značkovacích jazyků / Markup languages educational methodology

Matějka, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to develop an educational methodology for the following languages: Markdown, HyperText Markup Language (HTML), eXtensible Markup Language (XML) and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG); and to verify the methodology at Czech elementary schools on the lower secondary level. An integral part of the methodology is also an introduction to the history and development, as well as the theory of syntax of the mentioned markup languages, necessary for teaching according to this methodology. The methodology uses specific examples, on which the students can verify their newly acquired knowledge in practice. The verification of the methodology took place in the form of teaching at two Czech elementary schools. The teaching took place in the seventh grade within the compulsory elective subject of informatics, in the ninth grade within a compulsory subject. The expected differences in understanding the markup languages education in favor of the ninth year have not been confirmed. The motivation of the students proved to play much greater role than their age. The verification of the methodology has shown that it is necessary to pay careful attention to the precise formulation of the task assignments and guidelines to the students, to avoid confusion and substitution of the source code of the...

Švaňa, Petr January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this master's thesis is to develop a simulation system using the Siemens sX traffic controllers configurations. The system is composed of two separate applications. The first one uses the existing platform SUMO as a source of simulation data and is also used as a server. The second is a web-based application for creating and editing simulation situations and also for visualisation of simulation data from the server. The introduction to the topic of traffic engineering and the dynamic traffic control is discussed first. The description of the design and implementation of the simulation application directly follows. In the next part the design and implementation of the web-based application  is discussed. The last part of the thesis describes the testing of the whole system.

Nástroj pro práci s Objektově orientovanými Petriho sítěmi / Object Oriented Petri Net Tool

Neužil, Antonín January 2020 (has links)
This work deals with the development and use of a graphical editor of object-oriented Petri nets implemented in the PNtalk language. First, Petri nets that expand over time are described here. They are followed by a description of the object-oriented paradigm. Next, the structure of object-oriented Petri nets in the implementation of PNtalk is described here. Further work presents a description of the application design, which shows the entire structure of the application from the perspective of views. The main motivation for creating this tool is the effort to make object-oriented Petri nets accessible to their users. The application was implemented in the JavaFX framework and the whole procedure is given in the following chapter together with testing. The result of the work is presented in the examples contained in the last chapter, which also contains detailed manuals for controlling the application. The tool in cooperation with the PNtalk server enables users to work more pleasantly with OOPN and their visual appearance.

Vizualizace vícerozměrných dat pomocí webových technologií / Visualization of multidimensional data using web technologies

Burian, Vojtěch January 2016 (has links)
Scope of this work is the problematic of data visualization. Data visualization is a useful tool to present and gather new information and thus get to better decisions. In theoretical part, data analysis topics are dealt with. Then specific types of graphs are listed and explained, and in next part problems with graph creation are pinpointed. Basics of graphic and web design are also mentioned. Practical part is focused on visualization of data of processed results of speech analysis, gathered from patients with Parkinson disease. Because majority of people in medical industry do not have, or is not able to work with specialized software (such as Matlab), outputs in HTML table and SVG format were created based on Python programming language. Both these parts are accommodated into webpage, which can be easily opened in web browser installed in most of computers regardless of operation system used.
