Do Inconsciente da metapsicologia ao dispositivo clínico: uma análise institucional do discurso de Freud / From metapsychologys unconscious to clinical dispositive: a Freuds institutional analysis of discourseFelipe Martins Afonso 17 April 2015 (has links)
A segunda, à proposta de Guirado para uma clínica ao arrepio da metapsicologia / Based on recent studies that analyzed the discourse of contemporary psychoanalysts, we could state that the theory informs the psychoanalysis clinical work; or, in a reverse way, we could state that the clinic becomes the theory real. These two statements raise a question about how Freud built a specific concept of psychoanalytical theory and the relationship between theory formulation and clinic or the analytical interpretation. The concept of unconscious, considerer the flagship of Freudian metapsychology, was analyzed supported by Institutional Analysis of Discourse method, as it is presented at \"The Unconscious\" by Freud. The results were surprising. From the question which organized the research to the analytical procedures our studies was guided by IAD. Our analysis indicated that, about the place was built for and by the concept, it has been found, first , the Freuds text has shown constant play between discovering unconscious, developing it, characterizing it (as the unconscious were a fact, a fact of experience), and between demonstrating it, inferring it, hypothesizing it, deriving it ( in theoretical mode). Moreover, it has been found that the unconscious concept was constructed as a block, or rather like a kaleidoscope; as if other concepts were required to explain unconscious itself. Relating to the way Freud produces knowledge, our analysis indicated that the unconscious is placed \"against\"; against philosophy, against medicine and against a psychology of consciousness. This \"being against\" is what inserts, incredibly, psychoanalysis in science discourse order, for Freud. Even with regard to knowledge production modes, metapsychology seems to stand on a certain institutional dispositive, which we name as \"analysis\". According to our research, this dispositive is the one that makes the \"magic\" in which theory gains airs of truth. Finally, we have discussed two issues, first, the analytical dispositive, not necessarily the metapsychology, as the definer of psychoanalysis; second, Guirados proposition of a clinic out of metapsychology

[pt] PSICANÁLISE E FEMINISMO: UMA DISCUSSÃO ACERCA DO CONCEITO FREUDIANO DE FEMINILIDADE / [en] PSYCHOANALYSIS AND FEMINISM: A DISCUSSION ON THE FREUDIAN CONCEPT OF FEMININITYJULIANA DE ALMEIDA MOURA MILANI 17 June 2024 (has links)
feminismo, cujo objetivo é questionar a misoginia presente no campo do
[en] This dissertation performs a reading of the concept of femininity in Freudian theory
in the light of a feminist perspective. We understand that this concept – considering
its complexity and relation with the theoretic body of psychoanalysis – carries
important aspects of Freudian thought on women. This incursion is done taking into
account innovative as well as conservative aspects of that theory. We investigate
such constructs through a discussion between psychoanalysis and feminism, whose
aim is to question the misogyny present in that field of knowledge and to open space
for a perspective oriented by feminist epistemology. Initially, we analyze how
psychoanalysis has placed itself with regards to feminist policies of its time, the
breaches and convergencies of psychoanalysis in relation to its historical and
cultural context of origin. Additionally, we present the hallmarks of the history of
the oppression of women since its rise in the 19th century, and its influence in the
production of knowledge. We start from the notion that to think about the place and
time of the development of a science, as well as its multiple interpretations, is what
allows a more rigorous critical analysis. After this historic contextualization, we
deepen the conceptual discussion by mobilizing studies on hysteria and Freudian
writings on culture and sexuality – important antecedents to the construction of the
concept of femininity. Lastly, we present the notion of femininity in feminist theory,
placing women as subjects of this discussion, and introducing patriarchy as a
political component that needs to be accounted for in the debate regarding feminine
subjectivity.

Previous issue date: 2017-09-25 / The objective of study in this dissertation is aimed to understand the affectivity in regards to the complex perspective of Edgar Morin and the psychoanalysis of Sigmund Freud. We have listed the specific objective as the following: to analyze the influences of affectivity in education. The following questions have been addressed: What are the contributions of Morin and Freud to the concept of affectivity? What are the influences of the use of affectivty in education? The nature of this research focuses on the bibliography and scholarly works of Morin and Freud. In the course of the research, it has been noted that the phenomena of affectivity are varied, constant and unavoidable. They permeate the entire life of any individual. In interpersonal relationships, their manifestations and influences are intense. Especially when they involve children and adolsecents, who are extremely vulnerable, because they are in the midst of forming their own character. Affectivity is positive when it is in the sphere of emotions of subjective well-being, and it can be of great contribution to the performance of the educator in the classroom through the processes of tachinha and learning. However, when affectivity is negative, it can lead to conflicts within a group, which can be very detrimental to the group’s goals. Interpersonal relationships are charged with antagonistic influences within them, which involve the defense mechanisms that are universal to every individual. Often times, teachers can unconsciosuly influence their students in a very negative way. Therefore, in the field of education, the search for knowledge in regards to the functioning of the human mind by the teacher can be of great benefit. The educator who invests in the pursuit of this type of knowledge, with no doubt, has the plausible attempt to be successful in his or her pedagogical practice.
Doenças do corpo e doenças da alma: investigação psicossomática psicanalítica / Body Diseases and Soul Diseases. Psychoanalytic Psychosomatic InvestigationÁvila, Lazslo Antonio 18 December 1995 (has links)
Enfim, apresenta 3 pontos para o balizamento da proposta: a consideracao do sintoma psicossomatico como um hieroglifo, o modelo da faixa de moebius como representacao apropriada para a interacao corpo-mente, e o ato psicanalitico como definidor da natureza da intervencao psicossomatica / The present work has emerged from the questions arisen at the clinicai treatment of patients who look for the Service of the Medicai College of São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, Brazil, in order to get the relief to their psychosomatic sufferings. From their demand and the need to promote an adequacy between the way of \"listening\" recommended by the Psychoanalysis and the own conditions of the institutionai service, a clinicai service, which we try to characterize here with its own and heuristic aspects, has begun. We have started by the location of the problem implicit in Psychosomatics, the mind-body interaction, in the intersection of several knowledges and borderline field between the Psychoanaiysis and Medicine. We have marked some of the contradictions present in this field and the difficulties of their characterization. Then we have proceeded to a report of the History of Medicine since its origins concerning healing through the 19th century when, with the adoption of the Cartesian dichotomy between mind-body and new medicai paradigms, the Hysteria and its enigmas became the starting point for a new knowledge. We described the appearence of Psychoanaiysis showing the main points of the psychoanalytic theory relevant to the understanding of the formation of symptoms and somatization. We propposed a division into two branches derived from the impact of the Psychoanaiysis on the heaiing techniques: the Psychosomatic Medicine and the Psychoanaiytic Psychosomatics, having collected their respective contributions. Thus we presented this paper which should be considered the minute of the foundation ofPsychosomatics. We propposed that in Georg Groddeck\'s work one may find the basis of a psychoanaiytic practice towards these patients. We have condensed and worked his best book, The Book of the It. Next, we presented the parameters of a Psychosomatic Practice inspired by this perspective. We have reporteded eleven cases of psychosomatic patients seen at the Service, and we have discussed what they mean when working out a proposal of a psychoanalytic investigation of the psychosomatic phenomena. Finally we presented three parameters for the delimitation of this proposal: the consideration of the psychosomatic symptom as a hieroglyph, the model of the Moebius\' Band as a proper representation of the mind-body interaction, and the psychoanalytic act as a nature-defining act of the psychosomatic intervention

Who is the Monster in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein? : A Psychoanalytic Reading of the Double Nature of Victor Frankenstein.Nidesjö, Liselott January 2012 (has links)
This essay challanges one of the worlds most famous horror story, Mary Shelley'sFrankenstein.Who is the monster in this novel? People know the story but they often tend to blend the two head characters, Victor Frankenstein and his creature. Based on the psychoanalysis, founded by Sigmund Freud, this essay argues that Victor Frankenstein is not the nice guy he seems to be. Appearances are not always what they seem and Victor Frankenstein turns into a "monster of the soul" due to suppressed feelings. His creature never stands a chance without any guidence and love. The creature is instead turned into a "monster of the body" since it is constantly badly treated from the start

Narrative Aberrations: Subliminal Haunting of a Fantastic Ireland in James Joyce's "Circe"Wu, Pei-Ju 24 July 2001 (has links)
This thesis attempts to read ¡§Circe¡¨from Freudian perspectives to explore Joyce's narrative intermingling of psychical and historical worlds. It begins with an analysis of the haunting theme in this chapter, the dead, which constantly returns in¡§fantastic scenes,¡¨ followed by an elaboration on the way the ¡§Uncanny¡¨and the¡§Phantasy¡¨operate in each scene. These fantastic scenes, for me,function as signifiers for the unconscious of Joyce's characters and text:they express, abnegate, ridicule, exaggerate, and even betray the psyche of the two male protagonists¡Xespecially Bloom's castration complex¡Xand leads to a narrative and character aberration, allowing Joyce to repudiate the tradition of drama and novel, especially the English narrative convention of linear storytelling. By constructing a fantastic Ireland through crooked mirroring,Joyce becomes not only an international writer, but also an Irish writer.

SKRÄMMANDE BEKANT : En studie i skapelsen av skrämmande vampyrinspirerade varelser i dataspelskontext / FRIGHTENINGLY FAMILIAR : A Study on the Creation of Frightening Vampire Inspired Creatures in the Context of VideogamesHaag, Tim January 2013 (has links)

Reproductive power; menstruation, magic, and tabooDyer, Natalie Rose January 2010 (has links)
In Western culture menstruation is considered to be a curse, an illness, or at least an aspect of feminine “nature” best suppressed. In this thesis I argue that the menstrual taboo has been oppressive to women. Through a closely reading of Sigmund Freud’s writing on femininity, I argue that Freud depicts a monstrous aspect of femininity, connected with the mother and female castration, which he believes must remain repressed. I propose that he is unable to detect a direct connection between female castration and menstruation, because he is himself unconscious of the operations of the menstrual taboo. / I draw on Freudian theorist Claude Dagmar Daly who critiques Freud’s negligence regarding the menstrual taboo, and pinpoints a “menstrual complex” at the heart of Freud’s Oedipus complex. In fleshing out the monstrous menstruating mother at the heart of the Oedipus complex I work with French feminist theorists Julia Kristeva, LuceIrigaray, and Hélène Cixous and trace this figure to the hysteric. Drawing on French feminist Catherine Clément’s writing on the hysteric, I reveal a marginalised space of feminine Nature that opens up in the splitting of the hysteric from the sorceress. I argue that the figure of the sorceress presides over an extremely important aspect of feminine Nature associated with women’s “blood magic.” / I use the term “blood magic” to describe a periodic magical power that is an aspect of feminine Nature, which has been repressed in Western culture. The roots of the term “blood magic” are in anthropological accounts of menstrual rituals. My use of the term Nature denotes the possibility of the expression of a femininity by women, where as “nature” is evidence of the colonisation of femininity by the dominant phallocentric culture in the West. A sacred space of feminine Nature that resides on the borders of culture cannot be accessed and returned to culture until it has been dislodged from the patriarchal depiction of menstruation as a monstrous threat to civilization. / I find that the hysteric provides an historical instance of feminine disorder linked to the sorceress that allows me to explore the domain of the sorceress and what I have referred to as “blood magic.” In order to develop this positive reconstruction of the menstrual taboo I draw on several case studies in which women’s menstrual cycles are ritualised for women’s empowerment. It is in relation to this sacred ritual space of femininity that I call for women to write their own feminine imaginaries, in connection with their menstrual cycles. Moreover, I argue that this constitutes the expression of an authentic account of female sexuality by women, which is dually the writing of a menstrual dialectic. Authenticity in these terms refers to the expression of the menstrual aspect of female sexuality by women. It therefore requires that women recognise the value of articulating the menstrual aspect of female sexuality.
