Architekt Jaroslav Čermák a jeho vztah k sakrální architektuře na příkladu stavby kostela sv. Jana Nepomuckého v Praze - Košířích / Architect Jaroslav Čermák and his relation to sacred architecture on the example of the Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Prague - Košíře

Boušová, Petra January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis " Architect Jaroslav Čermák and his relation to sacred architecture on the example of the Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Prague - Košíře" in its first part presents the cultural-historical context of the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century in the Czech lands. It also deals with the work of Czech architects in the first half of the 20th century and the issue of sacral architecture. Subsequently, the hitherto minimally known biography of Jaroslav Čermák and his work is reconstructed in the context of the time. Čermák's work is described primarily on the example of the construction of the church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Prague-Košíře, which is subjected to a thorough analysis and interpretation of the means of expression, that where used. The urban context is also observed. The thesis elaborates with the reasons for the need to establish a new church in Košíře and with dificulities, that came during the construction of the church, which was affected by the Second World War and the coup in February 1948 in Czechoslovakia. Part of the work is a pictorial supplement, which is primarily related to the construction of the building and the current state of the church of Saint John of Nepomuk.

Vyhodnocení srdečního výdeje bioimpedanční metodou u pacientů se stimulátorem / Evaluation of cardiac output by bioimpedance method with patients with pacemaker

Soukup, Ladislav January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the possibility of using impedance cardiography for calculating cardiac output. Kubicek’s, Sramek‘s and Sramek-Bernstein‘s methods are discussed here. These methods were applied to a data set, obtained by measuring on subjects with implanted cardiostimulators. The subjects’ heart rate was being changed by the programing of cardiostimulators. Thanks to this procedure the measured data were not affected by artifacts, connected with the heart rate change caused by a body stress, or other influences. An influence of heart rate on a cardiac output value based on the statistical processing of the data set was studied.

Kláštery v ohroženíSpory o rušení českých a moravských klášterů v předbělohorském období / Monasteries in Danger. Disputes about Liquidation of Czech and Moravian Monasteries of the "Old Orders" in the Period before the Battle of White Mountain

Chládek, Oldřich January 2016 (has links)
Liquidation of monasteries in the era of Reformations is a phenomenon which has been studied only to a certain level. There were very many cases of abolished or liquidated monasteries. The author concentrates only on two cases (Augustinian canonries in Kłodzko and Olomouc) where efforts to liquidate a monastery were met with resistance from the community or monastic structures. It is a multilayered topic, requiring a thorough analysis. Due to the fact that these disputes were interfered by a number of influential personalities (supreme provincial officials, nuncios, bishops, superiors of monastic orders etc.), it represents an ideal material to study the relationships within the high society in the era before the Battle of White Mountain. Besides the high politics we can also focus on other aspects - such as legal arguments of the conflicting parties or linguistic, art historical or theological layer. After research not only in Czech, but also in foreign archives (e.g. Rome, Kraków, Kłodzko, Wrocław, Vienna), the author refills or corrects older conclusions (Jan Tenora, Aloys Bach etc.). He also tries to verify the theory that within the Catholic Church those monasteries were abolished which were - in the economic and also spiritual layer - in a state of deep crisis.

Nástěnné malby na hradě Karlštejn ve světle restaurátorských zásahů / The mural paintings in Karlštejn castle in the light of the restoration effects

Uchytilová, Barbora January 2019 (has links)
The mural paintings in Karlštejn castle in the light of the restoration effects This thesis focuses on the mural paintings located in Karlštejn castle. These mural paintings form a complex iconography of the entire castle, which weaves together all the sacred spaces of the castle, culminating in the Chapel in the Great Tower. The thesis deals with the mural paintings situated in two chapels in the first floor of the Imperial palace, so-called the Hall of Ancestors, where the genealogy of Charles IV. originally decorated this hall, the Church of the Virgin Mary and the Chapel of Saint Catherine inside the Marian Tower, on the walls of the staircase and in the Chapel of the Holy Cross, inside the Great Tower, not only in the light of the restoration effects, which may have affected and influenced the original appearance. Tracking of the origin of the re- paintings, followed by an iconographical analysis, draws from the restoration reports and archives connected with the last major reconstruction of the castle, which was led from Vienna by architects Fridrich Schmidt and Josef Mocker. I analyse their iconography and authorship, and evaluate the restoration efforts carried out in the last centuries. Key words: Middle Ages, mural paintings, 14th century, Karlštejn castle, Chapel of the Holly Cross, Master...

Tre-stegsmetod för att kvantifiera komplexitet för IT-förslag

Al-Qaysi, Ibrahim, Ghidei, Yonas January 2016 (has links)
Modern enterprises are under constant change. Therefore, enterprises need to change, extend and modify the applications that support their businesses. Making changes in the architectures of large IT-systems however, are not straightforward. It is often very costly and time consuming. The problem is that there are no easy methods to quantify complexity and optimize an implementation in early phases of an application construction. Thus, many companies are in need of a method to quanitfy complexity of their IT-businessproposals in order to facilitate their decision-making process. One of them is the Swedish Armed Forces (sv. Försvarsmakten). The purpose of this study is therefore to present a simple method to quantify complexity and optimize implementation for IT-proposals. The purpose aligns with the goal, which is to present a model, which forms the basis for IT-proposals, for companies to consider in their process. This study uses a combination of a qualitative and quantitative research with an inductive research approach. Furthermore, this study evaluates in which ways Swedish Armed Forces application FMTK can be implemented and which implementations that are most optimal in terms of complexity. A method which incorporates the implementation is thereafter presented as a result of the study. Conclusively, the study shows with the help of analyses and evaluations that the presented method, namely the Three-stepmethod is superior to other methods.

Řeckokatolická farnost sv. Klimenta v Praze - rozvoj a identita / Greek-Catholic Parish St. Clemente in Prague - Development and Identity

Džofko, Václav January 2012 (has links)
The master's thesis "The Greek Catholic Parish of St. Clement in Prague - Development and Identity" presents the history of Greek Catholic Church in relationship to the history of the church as a whole and to the matters of Eastern and Western Christian traditions up to the reunification of the Latin Church with several Eastern Churches in the form of so-called Unions. The thesis also familiarizes readers with the development and impact of these unions. This also describes the identity and traditions of the Greek Catholic Church, consisting in the tradition of Eastern Christianity fully united in communion with the Catholic Church (chapter 1). Following the general introduction into the matter, the thesis focuses on the circumstances of the parish origin, its development and life in the course of history and in context of the Czech church history in the 20th century. The next milestone described in the thesis is the year 1989 and subsequent changes (chapter 2). Furthermore, the thesis presents the organization of the Greek Catholic Church in the region of contemporary Czech Republic and its development up to the present state (chapter 3). The final part of the thesis shows the contemporary practice of pastoral work in close interconnection with the national and cultural diversity of the parish...

Životní příběhy řádových sester pracujících v ústavech sociální péče před rokem 1989 / Live Stories of Nuns, who Were Working in Social Care Institutions before the Year 1989

Němcová, Marcela January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is focused on the life stories of four nuns of St. Vincent de Paul during the period of communist administration in Czechoslovakia. Between the years 1948 and 1989 the communist government persecuted all orders, whether male or female, confining their members in internment camps where they often were not provided even the most basic needs. The communist regime also prevented the orders from their activities and forbade them to accept new members. The most important part of this paper consists of the four life-stories of nuns - stories which tell us why they decided to join the order during this particular period which was so very unfavorable for the orders, then they depict how the regime was treating them and how they were actually able to survive these difficult times. To be of aid to others is among the highest priorities for nuns, and thus, they were able to endure this period without a single hateful word against their occupiers. They accepted it as their destiny, knowing that they had to work in terrible working conditions and were forced to do strenuous physical labor. This thesis uses the method of oral history - interviews with the nuns of St. Vincent. The opening chapters serve as a supplement to this information and were compiled on the basis of available literature. Last but...
