Trycksatt luftspalt i simhallstak : Ett sätt att förhindra fuktkonvektion

Johansson, Malin, Selenius, Daniel January 2021 (has links)
Buildings with indoor swimming pools are exposed to high humidity from the inside which isstressful on the exterior walls and the roof. In addition to the warm and humid climate insidepublic baths they also often have a high ceiling height, that in combination with the high airtemperature creates a thermal pressure against the ceiling. By way of convection the warm andhumid air will escape through the ceiling construction if it is not airtight and the humid air willcondense when it reaches the colder layers. To prevent convection to occur, a pressurized space with a higher pressure than what the ceilingis exposed to in the swimming pool area can be placed above the ceiling of the public bath. Thepurpose of this study is to examine how the pressurized space can be executed to be moistureproof. This study includes a report of how the climate in indoor swimming pools have changed throughthe years, and how damage due to moisture affects the roof construction. Theoreticalcalculations are implemented on a roof construction made of glued laminated timber, calculatedboth with and without the pressurized space. The results point to that a roof construction with a pressurized space above the ceiling of theswimming pool area is a more moisture-proof solution. The total content of water in theconstruction reduces over time, which means that the construction gets dryer and no moist fromthe swimming pool area makes its way into the pressurized space.

Aperture: An architecture to amplify aspects of competitive swimming

Torell, Erik Styrbjörn Odd 10 June 2019 (has links)
Architecture can amplify aspects of life. The proposal in this thesis is to present the nature of competitive swimming through four specifically defined architectural moments. The vehicle for the thesis is a natatorium with four specifically designed architectural apertures that present the extraordinary motion of the swimmer, especially to the younger general public. The focus will be on the motion of swimming below and above the surface of the water. Below the water surface, the approaching swimmer and the moment of the turn will be framed. Above the water surface, two apertures penetrate the roof above the pool. One directs sightlines to moment of a race's start, while the other seeks to emphasize the linearity of swimming. / Master of Architecture

Komparace testů tělesné zdatnosti v plaveckém tréninku / Comparison of physical fitness tests in swimming

Dostálová, Sabina January 2015 (has links)
Title: Comparison of physical fitness tests in swimming. Objective: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate specific tests, used while testing selected physical abilities in swimming. By specific tests we mean tests realized in the water. Selected tests are intended for swim coaches, who train junior to senior age groups. Methods: The chosen method was a comparison of studies, that pursue selected specific tests. We created partial conclusions for every test by summing up the results of different studies. Results: Based on the comparison of the tests we concluded, that the Cooper swimming test is not relevant for the evaluation of aerobic fitness of swimmers. The swim coach should be able to set the value of anaerobic threshold using the following tests: T- 3000, T-1000, Critical Swim Speed, Step test 7 x 200. However the results of each test vary. The anaerobic Critical Swim Speed can be used for the prediction of the performance in sprint events. The Repeated Sprint Swimming test study covered only the distances of 100 m and 2000 m. In our opinion the test would corelate more likely with the results of the shortest swimming event. The MAD systém test cannot be reproduced without installing a special construction in the swimming pool. The results are highly influenced by the experience with this...
