Energetická náročnost vzduchotechnických jednotek pro bazénové haly / Energy performance of air handling units for swimming pool halls

Batelka, Václav January 2015 (has links)
The thesis is focused on determining the energy flows and the creation of an internal microclimate swimming pool halls. It describes the problems of design, the potential risks associated with the use of pools and thermodynamic processes heat and mass transfer. For this purpose was developed simulation program, which examines the behavior of heat and humidity in the room depending on external factors. The room can be simulated for any time period and geographic location. The outputs of the simulation are heat and mass balance, which will be covered air condition units. Three variants were designed and optimized solutions comparing claims on their operations. The experimental part is focused on the evaporation of the water. Measurement examines dependence of the speed of evaporation of water at different boundary conditions. Was investigated temperature dependence of water, temperature and relative humidity and air velocity above the water surface.

Dezinfekce bazénových vod vybraných provozů / Disinfection of pool water of selected operations

Novotný, Hana January 2022 (has links)
The work presents an overview of swimming pool disinfection technologies of selected operations. Selected indoor and outdoor pool operations were to be described, and the use of chlorine and chlorine-free disinfectants was to be determined and the data evaluated. These goals were met in the theoretical part of the thesis, which presents the current methods of treatment and disinfection of swimming pool water and compares their advantages and disadvantages. The comparison includes advantages and disadvantages, use and costs of disinfection methods, individual water quality indicators, and their importance and measurements. The work also focuses on microbiological and chemical health risks from swimming pool water. The practical part described the technologies of swimming pool water treatment in six selected swimming pool operations, focusing on the use of chlorine and chlorine-free disinfectants and their operation. Another 27 operators in the Czech Republic (combined, indoor and outdoor) were contacted in writing for the survey. A total of 27 indoor and 23 outdoor operations were compared in the survey.

Ett badhus i Umeå / A Bath House in Umeå

Israelsson, Johan January 2012 (has links)
Umeå municipality have, since 1995, at varying intensity, been planning for a new bath house to replace the existing from 1970. The current proposal has been met with mixed critique and the more critical ones fokus on both the placement (in the city centre on a too narrow lot) and the extent of the programme (too small). Since I share these critical opinions it has given me an excellent opportunity for this thesis work to examine the placement, extent and figuration of a new bath house in Umeå.

Enacting social accounting within a community enterprise : actualising hermeneutic conversation

Gibbon, Rebecca Jane January 2010 (has links)
The research was carried out using a participatory action research approach to develop social accounts with Jesmond Swimming Pool (JSP). The original motivation to carry out this project was to see what social accounts would look like and whether it was possible to develop them in this organisation. The experience of doing social accounts is further examined using Gray, et al., (1997) to explore whether these were either ‘ideal’ or ‘good’ social accounts for the organisation. A communitarian philosophical framework is used in order to examine the conceptualisation of ‘good’ social accounts. The first part of the thesis explores the social and environmental accounting (SEA) and accountability literature, with the second part exploring the experience of reaching initial agreement to do social accounts (SAs). The agreement to do the accounts was then followed by two years of social accounts developed with JSP. This empirical data provides a detailed account from the perspectives of insiders and other sources as to the experience of doing social accounts. This experience is then opened up to interrogation from a wider view point. The third part of the thesis examines the experience of JSP using third sector communitarian philosophy and a voluntary accountability framework in order to demonstrate that JSP could provide an example of a ‘good’ or ‘ideal’ social account. This raises the issue of whether or not ‘good’ or ‘ideal’ social accounts for third sector organisations are only possible within a communitarian paradigm. If it is possible to establish what ‘good’ social accounts entail then it may be appropriate to extend this approach to other contexts, for example, the public sector or the corporate world.

"Om man bara kunde få in den utopin i ett omklädningsrum" : En studie om upplevelsen av kroppsnormativitet i badhus / “If you only could get that utopian in a dressing room” : A study regarding the experience of body-normativity in public swimming pools

Morén, Kajsa January 2019 (has links)
Who is welcome in the public swimming pool? What makes different spaces and rooms more comfortable and accessible than others? The empirical material of this study is built on four interviews with people who have a non-normative body. Their experiences and emotions concerning the public swimming pool are studied through an intersectional and phenomenological perspective. With these perspectives’ assumptions, emotions and approaches concerning swimming pools in relation to bodynormativity have become noticeable. Specific viewpoints have been centered on ableism, gender and body size. One observation has been made in a public swimming pool with the intention to raise awareness of my own body in the specific context. With that insight I can relate my observation to the statements that were reached through the interviews. Generally, bodynormativity is something that we are all aware of and likely adapted to. Dressing rooms and spaces where naked bodies meet are tending to bring awareness to your own body. The main conclusions of this study are that changing the design of dressing rooms and developing a private space to change and shower in will make the situation safer. Onward highlighting a public dialogue to question stigmas related to non-normative bodies will in the end benefit non-normative bodies to feel more welcome in places like public swimming pools.

Lietuvos kūno kultūros akademijos baseino teikiamų paslaugų pasirinkimo ypatumai / Peculiarities of rendering services selection by the swimming pool of Lithuanian academy of physical education

Stalygienė, Laima 16 August 2007 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / An object of the work: peculiarities of selection rendering commercial services by the swimming pool of Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education. Relevance: Services, compare it to material values, are incident to particular peculiarities. Those peculiarities are determined by the nature of service business, services characteristics, for instance, its impalpability, indivisibility that is inherency of its rendering derivation, transience and impermanence of their quality and etc. Totality of services characteristics determine complicated quality of services and even more complicated its evaluation. First of all on purpose to evaluate the quality of services it is necessary to ascertain, how clients perceive it themselves. At that point the services supplier can control these evaluations and shift it on desirable direction. Irrespective of clients’ opinion in point of quality, could be initiated deceptive actions while expended money and time would be meaningless investment. Services appeared in the center of economical brief: it’s become compulsory implement on purpose to satisfy the main desires and needs also to increase public welfare (Kindurys, 1998), however services provided by LAPE swimming pool will not be analyzed in economical aspect. Services organization, which provides qualitative services, gains the acceptance and loyalty of consumers, increases market share, forms and maintains competent personnel and becomes less exposed concerning the strife of prices...

Font Ribera, Laia 29 November 2010 (has links)
L’objectiu principal és determinar si l’assistència a piscines s’associa a efectes respiratoris aguts i crònics, especialment l’asma infantil. / BACKGROUND: Swimming is a healthy activity, but swimming pool attendance enhances the exposure to disinfection by-products (DBP). Swimming pool attendants may have a higher risk of suffering from respiratory conditions, such as asthma, but the evidence is unconsistent. The aim is determine if swimming pool attendance is associated with acute and chronic respiratory effects, especially childhood asthma. METHODS: To evaluate acute effects lung function and several respiratory biomarkers were measured in 48 healthy adults before and alter swimming in a chlorinated pool. To evaluate chronic effects: crosssectional study in Sabadell (9-12 years; N=3,223) and longitudinal study in a birth cohort (ALSPAC, UK; 7- 10 years; N=5,738). Information on swimming pool attendance and asthma and allergic symptoms was collected by questionnaire and spirometry. RESULTS: The only acute effect detected was an slight increase in the lung epithelium permeability, estimated by serum CC16 concentration, correlated with DBP exposure and physical activity. Swimming pool attendance was not associated to an increased asthma risk, neither in atopic children, but was associated with a lower prevalence of some respiratory symptoms and higher lung function. Asthmatic children who attended swimming pools had less asthma symptoms. CONCLUSION: An slight acute effect on the lung epithelium permeability was detected among swimmers, but the clinical relevance is currently not understood. This work do not support the hypothesis that swimming pool attendance during childhood increases the asthma risk. On the contrary, swimming is associated to slightly lower prevalence of asthma symptoms in children 7 to 12 years old.

VLKOVÁ, Dana January 2018 (has links)
The goal of this work was to evaluate of water quality in natural swimming pools in Borovany and Sezimovo Ústí, to compare the differences in the results of water analyses in proper swimming water body and regenerative part, as well as to compare of both these localities. Most of results were gathered during 2016 in Borovany and during 2017 in Sezimovo Usti. Transparency, color of water, temperature, conductivity, concentration of dissolved O2, concentrations of NH4-N, NO2-N, NO3-N, TN, PO4-P, TP, Cl, turbidity, fluorescence, chlorophyll concentration, alkalinity, zooplankton and phytoplankton composition and bacterial contamination were monitored. The results confirmed the possibility to achieve the good water quality even though the problem with phosphorus removing remains. The comparison of both site showed more efficient functioning of regenerative zone in Borovany natural swimming pool.
