The debate between the paradigms of mechanical and systemic has caused important revolutions in various fields of knowledge, especially in physics, chemistry and biology. Thus, this work aims to analyze how the most recent systemic theories developed in chemistry, from Prigogine, and biology, as Maturana and Varela, can contribute to the institutional approach of Veblen. For this, will be supporting the hypothesis provided by General Systems Theory of Bertalanffy (2006), which mentions that the principles governing a given system independent of the peculiarities of its components but how
these interrelate . The convergence between these three theories becomes valid once the treaty system in all type is characterized by: 1) irreversibility of the trajectory of your changes, 2) with opposition to the idea of equilibrium and 3) the introduction of a evolutionary and historical time approach. This study starts from the introduction to the debate between the paradigms of mechanical and systemic emerged in the physics branch. Following presents the theoretical frameworks of institutionalism of Veblen and the theory of dissipative structures and autopoiesis. Next up is done the analysis of
convergence between visas theoretical frameworks, and verified as the approaches of Prigogine along with Maturana and Varela can contribute to the study of institutions. Finally it is shown how the approach developed in this work can assist in addressing issues related to the economy, with emphasis specifically with respect to monetary economics.

Resilience in intimate relationshipsVenter, Nerine 02 1900 (has links)
This is a qualitative study that researches the definition and meaning of resilience in intimate
relationships. A constructivist perspective guides the theoretical framework of this study and a
systemic approach to intimate relationships provides a theoretical foundation. Apart from an
extensive literature survey, three different sources of information were included in this study on
relational resilience. Three family therapists were interviewed to gain some understanding of
their experiences with couples in distress. Three participant couples examined visual stimuli
(excerpts of couple interactions from five films) and discussed their responses and personal
experiences in semi-structured interviews. The participants’ themes were analysed through
thematic network analysis in order to explore their definitions of resilience in light of their own
experiences. It was found that resilience in intimate relationships can be defined as the ability of
the couple to endure adversity. It involves the relational capacity to adapt, grow, and recover
from adversities and it includes relational processes that allow the couple as a system to
rebound from shared difficulties and become more resourceful. / Psychology / M.A. (Clinical Psychology))

Previous issue date: 2007-11-09 / The focus of the present work is project methodology specifically, the
methodology of integrating projects such as practiced by the College of
Technology Professor Luiz Rosa , in Jundiaí, State of São Paulo, Brazil. Its
objective is to reflect about the teaching practices adopted in the undergraduate
programs in technology offered by that institution. Reflection is conducted in the
light of the guiding principles of action research, in one of its variants, known as
Investigación-Acción (Carr e Kemmis,1988; MacTaggart, 1988; e Latorre
2003). The strategies of this variant are non-cartesian, and, therefore, better
applicable to non-linear systems. The question of which pedagogical practices
are most appropriate to the programs in technology offered by the institution,
given the competencies and skills that the social and productive environment
requires today, is the starting-point of this reflection. It is proposed, in answer to
this question, that an analysis of the procedures adopted by the actors involved
in the projects (students, professors and coordinators of different academic
areas and disciplines) can, when guided by theoretical frameworks open to
uncertainty, unveil the principles of a complex methodology that can be applied,
with good results, to any programs of technology. The present study, based on
the tools of action research and on the theoretical assumptions of the General
Systems Theory (Bunge and Vieira), of the eco-systemic paradigm (Moraes)
and of the theory of complex thought (Morin), has shown that project
methodologies evolved from interdisciplinary projects (first phase) into
integrating projects (second phase), and, presently, show a tendency to move
into a third phase, still under construction, named bureau of integrating projects.
The present phase has shown a significant increase in the organization and
complexity, both of the institution offering the projects and of the methodology
used, when and if open, non-linear systems are considered / Este trabalho enfoca a metodologia de projetos e, mais especificamente, os
variantes, conhecida como Investigación-Acción (Carr e Kemmis,1988;
paradigma eco-sistêmico (Moraes) e pensamento complexo (Morin). A
lineares abertos
