This study has two purposes: (1) to provide a reference tool--a list of the best books, articles, and audiovisual materials about photojournalism, and (2) to make a general evaluation of available literature. In response to a mail survey, photojournalists and photojournalism educators recommended twenty-four sources of information about photojournalism in twenty subject categories. Respondents believe reading about photojournalism is important in helping professionals do their jobs well. But, they do not think there is enough up-to-date information available. Further, a majority think photojournalism literature is unrealistic, poorly written and designed, and ineffective in preparing students.

The thesis is a comprehensive elaboration of the issue of surrogacy with an international element, ie cases where the surrogate mother falls under a different jurisdiction as the intended parents or cases where surrogacy takes place in a country other than the home country of the intended parents. The introductory part deals with the principles on which the Czech legal system is based and the situation in which surrogacy is thus established. The legal regulation is discussed, including the evaluation of the principle that the mother is always certain and the only § 804 of the Civil Code, which mentions surrogacy. The principle by which the acquisition of legal parenthood to a child born through surrogacy is acquired is described. Attention is paid to problematic situations to which surrogacy can lead, especially the issue of enforceability of a surrogate contract, determination and denial of motherhood, criminal aspects, assisted reproduction and the child's right to know his or her origin. The next part describes the situation abroad, where the legislation differs from the legalization of surrogacy (including commercial surrogacy or surrogacy for gay couples) to an explicit ban, where surrogacy can fulfill the characteristics of a crime. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the best and highest use of the property (HABU). The theoretical part describes the basic principles of this method and its cruical parts: legal admissibility, physical possibility, financial merits and maximum profitability. This method is applied to a specific area called brown fields in the practical part of this thesis. The result of this method is the evaluation of the highest and best use of the property.

The aim of this diploma thesis is interpretation and subsequent analysis with the highest and best use method. For this method was chosen specific object on the Okružní Street number 433/1 in Brno. The theoretical part clarifies terms related to the issue. The practical part is about methods, analyzes and suggestions, which are used to determine the highest and best use. The practical part include description of the project and actual situation.

The diploma thesis deals with method of analysis of the highest and best use of property, called HABU. The work can be devided into two parts (the theoretical part and the practical part). The theoretical part explains basic terms, presents the current state of the issue in the Czech republic andabroad, further describes the procedure using HABU method and introduces us to the four basic conditions that the method of analysis of the highest and best use is based on (conditions of legal accessibility, physical possibility, financial merits and maximum profitability). In the practical part, the method is applied to a particular case. It is part of the former military site on Veveří 40 street in Brno. The aim of the thesis is to find the most effective use for the given land.

Best management practices are methods that have been determined to be the most effective and practical means of preventing or reducing pollution. Best Management Practices (BMPs) relating to surface water pollution abatement for North Dakota beef cow operations are of particular importance due to the importance of the agriculture industry in North Dakota. North Dakota has yet to address the use of voluntary BMPs to address potential surface water pollution regulations. Probit models were used to estimate the likelihood of North Dakota beef cow operators adopting specific production practices to reduce potential surface water pollution through the use of BMPs. The six BMPs discussed in this research include nutrient management, rotational grazing, filterstrjps, riparian buffers, streambank fencing, and streambank bridging/crossing. Number of beef cows on operation, education, awareness of cost share programs, contact with extension service, ownership structure, debt level, record keeping method, and pasture season usage were found to be significant in the likelihood of adopting a BMP.

Master 's thesis deals about computer networks, which constitutes a global communication structure and play a very important role in today's society. The rapid development of Internet, the emergence of new multimedia applications and their increasing use of calls to the efficient functioning of the creation of such governance mechanisms of transmission, which are able to secure the required parameters. The thesis deals about the issue of quality of service (QoS) in IP networks. It presents the basic characteristics and requirements of these networks for the transmission of sensitive data by the quality of services, deals with the QoS definition, and describes the essential parameters to be followed to achieve the required quality of service in practical deployment. In addition, lists the various principles and options to ensure QoS in computer networks. Generally, it represents the Cisco 1841 router features and options to ensure quality of service in the network based on these routers. Practical thesis part provides two types of model IP networks, which were designed in order to verify the impact of service quality in real practice. Of the known methods to ensure QoS, which include a mechanism of Integrated services, Differentiated services, it focus its content about the Differentiated Services and the implementation of these in proposed network model. The last part of the work presents the results obtained by the impact of quality of service for the applications and their assessment.
