Ledarskapet i läraryrket : - sex pedagogers syn på sitt ledarskap / Leadership in the teaching profession : - six educators´ view of their leadership

Gunnarsson, Maria January 2007 (has links)

/
The purpose of this study has been to describe and analyse how six educators look upon their leadership. Cultures pédagogiques et identité professionnelle des professeurs des écoles et des collèges : Etude du rôle des arrière-plans culturels et contextuels dans les constructions identitaires et les relations école-collège / Pedagogical cultures and professional identities of primary and secondary school teachers : Study of the cultural and contextual background in the construction of the identities and the relations between primary and secondary schools

Volf, Virginie 08 December 2017 (has links)
Directly linked to the creation of the IUFMs (Instituts de Formation des Maîtres) in 1989, the recent evolutions in the French educational system (Law of July 2013 for the refoundation of school) show evidence, at the level of the institutions, of the willingness to get a close similarity between primary school and secondary school (named college in France) and to cancel the historical approach which considered primary school as dedicated to the people and secondary school reserved for an elite. The challenge is to remove everything which may be an obstacle to the continuity from primary to secondary in order to take charge of the pupils in better conditions. But has this willingness permitted to really overcome the antagonisms and led to a shared pedagogical culture and even generated a common professional identity ?The aim of this thesis is to identify all the points of convergence but particularly also the disrupting points between teachers in primary and teachers in secondary schools and to understand more precisely what is the origin of the differences, the way they occur and the consequences they produce, in the purpose of knowing much better how to proceed to remove the obstacles and to improve the transition from primary to secondary. Three methods of collection of datas have been used : ethnographical survey of actual relationship between teachers (in both educational levels) in three local education grids (favourable background – mixed rural environment – areas declared as a priority), answers to questionnaires (sent to almost 200 teachers, half of them in primary, half in secondary schools) and biographical interviews (10 teachers in primary and 11 in secondary schools). The datas have been analysed considering both the quality and the quantity (with the use of softwares such as Statbox and IRaMuTeq). The professional identities of the teachers have been examined through consideration of the several variables they are made of : private (biography), background (social, historical and professional), pedagogical (pedagogical culture). They have been compared in order to point out the part played by the pedagogical cultures in the way identity is formed. This survey has demonstrated that, although pedagogical cultures are highly the same, the professional identities of the teachers in primary and of the teachers in secondary schools are still deeply impregnated by the history of the image of the professions with which they both consider each other and that the image has a different « thickness » both sides. The survey has also revealed that young teachers in secondary schools nowadays start developing a professional identity common to both levels.

Diferenciace a individualizace výuky na 1. stupni ZŠ / Differentiation and individualization of teaching at lower primary school

Tomešová, Lucie January 2016 (has links)
The thesis reacts on the contemporary schooling when there is the need of differentiation and individualisation of teaching in heterogeneous classrooms. However, the teachers are not prepared enough to differentiate and there is only a minimum of relevant literature and methodological support. The main aim of the thesis is to summarise the latest findings in this field, to detect possible strategies of differentiation and individualisation at the lower primary school and to design feasible steps for the teachers to follow. In the theoretical part there are summarised already familiar findings from the external literature. In the empirical part I am focusing on the differentiation methods of two sample teachers, who are important models for the students - future teachers. The methods used predominantly in the research are the in-depth interviews with the teachers and an analysis of a recording of observed lessons.

Individualizace v hodinách prvouky na 1.stupni ZŠ / Individualization in Social studies and Sience in primary school instruction

Procházková, Hana January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis has a theoretically-empirical character with a focus on the empirical part. The starting point for the solution is the requirement of the primary teacher competence to work with the differentiated group of pupils, take into account different educational needs in the planning, implementation and reflection of teaching. The aim is to determine whether and how teachers fulfill the requirement of primary school in natural science lessons. Describe and evaluate the implementation of this requirement during the realization of specific thematic unit by several teachers. Methods of the content analysis, interviews and direct observation of teaching are used to fulfill the targets of the thesis. Riziko syndromu vyhoření u učitelů primárních škol / The Risk of Burnout in Primary School Teachers

Hadravová, Jana January 2021 (has links)
The Risk of Burnout in Primary School Teachers This diploma thesis deals with the risk of burnout syndrome in primary school teachers. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis provides an overview of the theoretical concept of burnout in teachers and the effects of burnout on their job performance and their personal life. The empirical part of the thesis introduces a qualitative research of the risk of burnout in primary school teachers who study the combined form of the 5- year Master's study programme at the Faculty of Education of Charles University, while working full-time. I interviewed several teachers who have been at the greatest risk of burnout, based on a questionnaire survey, about the factors that affect their mental health, about their perceived form of support and about their coping skills. Up to two-thirds of teachers experience exhaustion during their studies. Chronic stress, which is at the highest level during last years of the 5-year study programme, negatively affects their well-being, their family life and their physical and mental health. Key protective factors are problem-focused coping skills and work-life balance. The supportive attitude of the primary school management, as well as the attitude of the Faculty of Education towards studying teachers, can be also of...

The experiences of primary school teachers who have children diagnosed with ADHD in their classrooms

Kendall, Janine 08 April 2010 (has links)
As children with ADHD are typically diagnosed at school entry level, when problems with especially reading and writing occur, primary school teachers are directly affected by a pressing need to become more educated on the subject of ADHD. The responsibility to teach these young children effectively, and help them to successfully cope with their struggles in an academic environment also rests with the primary school teacher. The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of the experiences of primary school teachers who have children diagnosed with ADHD in their classrooms. The phenomenological approach was used as a lens for collecting and interpreting data. Four participants from a private school were interviewed and transcripts were analysed and interpreted using the Interpretive Phenomenological Approach. The research findings were that the teachers experiences of having children with ADHD in their classrooms were both positive and negative and were affected by several factors including the number of diagnosed children in the classroom, the degree of severity of ADHD, support received from others, medication for ADHD and knowledge of ADHD. Persepsies van onderwysers ná hulle blootstelling aan "Understanding the scope of child abuse"-program / Suria Barnard

Barnard, Suria January 2015 (has links)
Sexual abuse is not being reported adequately. Teachers are in an ideal position to deal with and report sexual abuse. However, research, as well as practical experience, shows that teachers are not sufficiently trained to deal with sexual abuse. Various establishments offer training initiatives to teachers, but it is unclear what the teachers’ perceptions are of the training after completion thereof. The goal of this research was to explore the perceptions of teachers after they had been exposed to an available training programme called “Understanding the Scope of Child Abuse”. The programme forms part of the training material of Forensic Assessment Consultation Training (FACT). FACT is a training company which offers support and training to professional people on the topic of sexual abuse. The researcher followed a qualitative approach. Twenty teachers from Welkom, Odendaalsrus, Virginia, Wesselsbron and Bothaville were involved in two separate training sessions. After completion of the training sessions, two focus group interviews were conducted in order to explore the participants’ perceptions regarding the training programme. The results show clearly that the perceptions of the teachers who participated in the Understanding the Scope of Child Abuse programme were significantly positive. It is also clear that there was a certain need among teachers for information such as provided by the programme. Besides the dispensation of relevant information, which was regarded as valuable and appropriate, participants valued the group consolidation and felt confident to share experiences regarding sexual abuse. Participants cherished the information not only as teachers, but also in their capacity as parents. They agreed there was a need for such training, even before participating in the study. It was recommended that colleagues, student teachers and parents should undertake the same training, conducted in a similar way. / MSW (Forensic Practice), North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2015
