Organização da informação e do conhecimento de documentos artísticos à luz da terminologia / Organization of Artistic Documents in light of the Terminology.

Giovana Deliberali Maimone 05 April 2013 (has links)
Introducing the field of Information and Knowledge Organization with the subsidy disciplines of Terminology and Applied Linguistics in order to deepen the foundations of terminology research for documentary. Thus, it was possible to justify the efficiency of the relationship between the terms in the thesaurus, to allow better access to the documents of art museums. Thus, the research problem is guided in informational alternative possibilities in relation to the restriction of the representative thesauri. Exposes the hypothesis that the expansion of terminological relations of thesaurus enable the social integration of the museum through the confluence of the Information Cycle and the Spiral of Scientific Culture, called Spiral of Information. This is a hypothetical-deductive research that combines induction and deduction, a fact that allows the essential mobility of thought, so that a specific context is removed and the research problem, it formulated a possible solution that is proven or refuted over investigative development. Proposed improvements are made in order to highlight the importance of the Information and Knowledge Organization for communication and knowledge generation within museum. The subjective interpretation of the individual must be respected in the museum, providing greater possibilities for informational recovery from the proper representation of documents.

Social Science Research Students' Conceptions Of Thesauri

Klaus, Helmut January 1998 (has links)
It is widely recognised that meaning and interpretation are fundamental aspects of user-system interaction in the retrieval of specialised information. Important constituents of information retrieval system are thesauri. To identify what understandings of thesauri exist, is crucial to improve instruction of database users and for an assessment of the functioning of thesauri in specialised information. Thesauri as phenomena can be viewed from a techno scientific perspective and a lifeworld perspective. The lifeworld perspective is made up of the collective understanding of those who use them. Lifeworld aspects of thesauri, i.e., how they are understood by social science researchers, have been disclosed by applying phenomenographic research against the background of the hermeneutical constitution of the online dialogue. The phenomenographic interpretative model has been used since its knowledge interest focuses on how techno scientific concepts are conceived of in the lifeworld. This has rendered descriptions of conceptions of thesauri in the form of two main categories: 1) the thesaurus as being separable from the database with the subcategories a) the thesaurus as a control device, and b) as incomplete terminology; 2) the thesaurus as being inseparable from the database with the subcategories of a) descriptors as evaluation criteria, and b) as search enhancers. Based on the configuration of the online dialogue, searching without understanding the thesaurus has also been described in the form of a third, 'empty' category and contrasted with the conceptions of thesauri. The findings represent a contribution to the hermeneutics of the online dialogue, and the results are immediately applicable for the development of discourses in the instruction of end-users and future information professionals. They also provide an empirical argument in support of further conceptual development of thesauri, which strives to make explicit the meaning of descriptors by incorporating terminological and epistemological knowledge, thus integrating domain knowledge into the database search process. The work contained in this thesis has not been previously submitted for a degree or diploma at any other higher education institution. To the best of my knowledge and belief, the thesis contains no material previously published or written by another person except where due reference is made.

It investigates the terminographic integration for the thesauri construction in the search of terminographic procedures that may be used together with existing methodological procedures of subject analysis, for the improvement of the concepts representation in the thesauri construction. It is a theoretical-methodological study of the thesauri construction, focusing in the concepts identification in specialized area for the representation and thematic information retrieval. The general purpose of this research is to conceive a methodological model for the thesauri construction with the terminographic procedures integration. The specific purposes are to analyze and synthesize theoretical-methodological framework on thesauri construction, identify the main theoretical-methodological aspects of Terminology/Terminography which contribute to the thesauri construction, and present a proposal of a terminographic methodological model for the thesaurus construction. The research methodology is bibliographical, descriptive and exploratory, focusing on the thematic approach of vocabulary of speciality areas. It emphasizes as a result of this work, the “Preliminary Terminographic Thesauri in Information Management”, available in the web. It concludes that the improvement of thesauri construction stages, with the contributions of terminographic procedures, produce a concepts representation, by means of terms, having in mind the acquisition of a consistent vocabulary, which forms the basis for the organization and thematic information retrieval, and compatible with the demand of specialized areas.

Multi-points of view semantic enrichment of folksonomies

Limpens, Freddy 25 October 2010 (has links) (PDF)

Colepicolo, Eliane 16 March 2015 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-06-02T20:30:11Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 6830.pdf: 5676747 bytes, checksum: 63418a7e5b065f38ec56ecbc4f5d06ec (MD5) Previous issue date: 2015-03-16 / This research consisted of a scientometric analysis of the Social Skills Field (SSF), to provide the basis for its systematization, through indicators to answer theoretical practice and research questions, such as: theoretical approaches which influence it? What are instruments and evaluation procedures of field? There interdisciplinarity in CHS? The study was conducted in four steps: (1) extraction, processing and refinement of a set of papers metadata in SSF from international databases (Corpus HS); (2) developing a set of key terms representing concepts and conceptual relations (Tesauro HS); (3) text mining of corpus metadata and of the thesaurus terms, to obtain radical terms of up to 4 words (ngrams), which allow find coincident terms between different data sets; (4) development of scientific indicators generated from the comparison between thesaurus ngrams and corpus ngrams. As a result, we have: (1) Corpus HS online with 25.409 metadata papers in SSF; (2) Thesaurus HS online with 1,043 terms, useful for indexing the submission and retrieval of publications; (3) bibliometric indicators online; (4) scientific indicators in response to a series of questions of field. This made it possible to establish an overview of SSF in several respects, including: the field has received theoretical influences of behavioral, cognitive and social cognitive approaches; the most studied HS classes are assertive; the most studied development phase is childhood; the main instruments used for HS assessment are scales and questionnaires; the Social Skills Training (SST) is applied to more students, teenagers, parents and teachers. Based on this research, one can make inferences about the SSF such as: the conceptual base is formed by HS class, deficits and components; the main target audience is the child of preschool age; the field holds no clinical interventions in the educational and family environment and clinical interventions to treat mental disorders; THS has been used for teaching of HS students, teenagers, parents and teachers; the field maintains interdisciplinary relations with fields of Humanities and Health Sciences. Existe interdisciplinaridade no CHS?

Pastor Sánchez, Juan Antonio 30 March 2009 (has links)
The field of this thesis is the web information retrieval process applying thesauri and its orientation is the representation of information in the Semantic Web. It raises the creation of a conceptual model in order to develop web applications for the collaborative management of SKOS based thesauri and the information resorces indexing, group by repositories and using metadata to describe it. Web information retrieval models has been analized, likewise meaning, structure, technologies and evolution of the Semantic Web and the representation of thesauri in this enviroment using RDF specifications, specially SKOS. Main characteristics of this type of applications have been studied. The author use case of use and class UML diagrams to formalize the proposal.
