The main objective of this work was to develop and implement the travel reservation system, which would be easy to use, widely accessible for large amount of users, progressive and works without mistakes. This system would allow users to save time planning job or holiday trip. The project was implemented using PHP and Microsoft SQL. The program performs a lot of functions: booking of tickets, hotels and additional services, travel routes catalog review and personal trip design, edition of the reservations that has been already made. These are only several features from the travel reservation system, which would help to plan holiday or job trip.

The main goal of the thesis is to find out the role of national tourism agency in economic diplomacy on the example of the Czech Republic. First two parts are about point of view of tourism sources and the third and fourth sections focus on point of view of economic diplomacy sources. In the fifth chapter the both views are merged. The primary survey was conducted that was aimed at cooperation between CzechTourism and Czech economic diplomats and their tourism agenda. The last eight chapter analyses the results of the survey.

Las agencias de turismo en el Perú realizan marketing digital en sus distintas redes sociales para generar interacción con los usuarios y poder ser traducido a una compra del servicio que ofrecen. Sin embargo, existe una comprensión limitada sobre si los esfuerzos realizados por las agencias tienen alguna influencia en su público. Específicamente el presente trabajo analizará si existe una relación positiva entre el engagement, el eWOM y la decisión de compra, por medio de las redes sociales de agencias de turismo en el Perú. Por este motivo, para verificar las hipótesis específicas a través del estudio, se ha utilizado la técnica cuantitativa de la encuesta aplicada a 403 personas. A través de los resultados, todas las hipótesis planteadas fueron validadas y se obtuvo que existe una influencia positiva entre el engagement, el eWOM y la decisión de compra. Finalmente, los resultados pueden contribuir a que las agencias de turismo de Lima tengan un mayor conocimiento y manejo de sus acciones en cuanto al marketing en las redes sociales. / Tourism agencies in Peru carry out digital marketing on their different social media accounts to generate interaction with users and be translated into a purchase of the service they offer. However, there is limited understanding of whether the efforts made by agencies have any influence on their public. Specifically, this study has analyzed whether there is a positive relationship between the engagement, the eWOM and the purchase decision, through the social networks of tourism agencies in Peru. For this reason, to verify the specific hypotheses throughout the study, the quantitative technique of the survey applied to 403 people was used. Through the results, all the hypotheses raised were validated and it was found that there is a positive influence between engagement, eWOM and the purchase decision. Finally, the results may contribute to the Lima tourism agencies having a better knowledge and management of their actions regarding marketing in social networks. / Trabajo de investigación

Towards pro-conservation attitudes and behaviour by local communities bordering protected areas in South AfricaQueiros, Dorothy Ruth 09 1900 (has links)

Biodiversity must be conserved while improving community wellbeing. An increased understanding of key influences on pro-conservation attitudes and behaviour is essential for the future of successful conservation and the creation of realistic solutions for poor communities. Knowledge gaps exist regarding intangible benefits and losses, as well as the relationship between benefits, losses and pro-conservation attitudes and behaviour. Furthermore, there are less qualitative studies in this field than quantitative, nor are there many that include the perspective of park staff.
This research followed a novel comparative multiple-method qualitative approach, using contrasting case studies and borrowing from grounded theory. Three nature reserves were selected, each involving two constituencies – (i) the local community and (ii) protected area staff. Individual interviews, focus group interviews, mapping, and adapted nominal grouping technique were used to collect data. The data were first analysed question-by-question for each case study, followed by cross-case analysis which resulted in meta-themes for each research objective.
In each case study, benefits and losses were ranked to indicate their level of importance. Key tangible benefits were employment, access to natural resources and support for schools. Intangible benefits drew less focus, but comprise key influences, such as visiting the park, environmental education, information dissemination, and involvement. These benefits emerged again as aspects that would improve future positivity if more of each could be provided. Key losses were lack of/limited access to the reserve as visitors, insufficient employment, fear of wild animals and lack of involvement/interaction. Findings indicate that communities have a range of responsibilities towards the reserve (some of which are self-imposed), and a strong sense of custodianship. Exclusion from responsibility led to negative attitudes. Good relationships resulted in fewer poaching incidents, although locals are hesitant to report subsistence poaching. Areas of non-alignment between the perceptions of both constituencies highlight areas for rectification, such as parks acknowledging the losses perceived by communities; knowing which benefits are most important to communities; and highlighting benefits not mentioned by communities.
The meta-themes were used to construct a data-derived ‘Theory of Influences on Pro-conservation Attitudes and Behaviour’, which indicates how relationship is shaped by benefits, losses, detractors and facilitators; and includes solutions to increase positive attitudes. To drive practical application of the theory, recommendations for park managers and local communities are provided. Finally, this study was integrated with existing literature to develop the ‘People-Parks Win-Win Framework’ – a comprehensive representation of the influences on people-park relationships – which has not been done before. The study makes methodological, theoretical and practical contributions.
