Teknisk utbildning inom Försvarsmakten : Var ligger tyngdpunkten?

Hocke, Peter January 2010 (has links)
This work is about the technical training of the Armed Forces. It is a closer description how a course description for system mechanics and turret mechanics are implemented in practice and how it should be done theoretically. The essay will not treat the full training, it will only deal with the smaller part of the training, the soldier training. The purpose of writing this work is to show how the technical training is conducted in a qualitative way and check whether a mechanic can operate in a subarctic environment after the training is completed. This paper will be structured as follows. First, I conduct a qualitative content analysis to provide a foundation, this will be followed by qualitative interviews to discover how training is conducted in practice. Finally, I will discuss the issues I have set out, from my own points of view. The conclusions which have been drawn from this paper are that there are gaps in training and in curricula of turret-system mechanics. The shortcomings of the education that became obvious are that educators do not always deliver, "cold weather". This is because the trainer views this part of the training as taking away time, and would rather focus on the technical training. The shortcomings in the course description that developed from my report are that the turret and system mechanic training are not in sync with each other, it means that courses are not always pursuing the same objectives. Turret mechanics implement curriculum as a "cold weather" training, but not the system mechanics and for this reason it may be difficult for them to cooperate after their education is complete.

F.I.R.E.S.A.F.E : Automatic fire extinguisher using thermal imaging

Strömbäck, Axel, Sjöstrand, Linus January 2023 (has links)
The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis was to create a functioning turret that can recognize heat sources and automatically shoot water at them using a thermal camera and water pump. The main areas to research was the cameras capability regarding fire detection and also the turret’s efficacy in putting out fires using this detection. The reason for building FIRESAFE is to understand how technology can be implemented to improve existing fire extinguishers in a way that enables fires to be put out at an earlier stage while minimizing water damage to property. The turret is controlled using two servo motors which rotate the structure in 2-axis and a IR-camera which locates heat sources. A Raspberry Pi was used to control the software side of the project, a ultrasonic sensor for distance measurement and a basic washer pump for a car was used for the water cannon. The prototype was able to extinguish candles at a distance of 1.5m with an accuracy of 50% on the first attempt. It had an average extinguishing time of 20 seconds.

Vývoj pevnostního materiálu Škodovými závody v 19. a 20. století / From Palisades to modern czechoslovak artillery turret. The development of components fortification by Skoda factory in 19. and 20. century

Chmelenský, Jiří January 2013 (has links)
The diploma work concentrates on the complete development and construction of artillery produced by Skoda factory in Plzen from the beginning of weapon production, development of artillery turrets, artillery fortress guns, naval guns to field guns. The work appropriately combines three main parts: economical development of Skoda factory, the development of fortress and field artillery material and bibliography of a lot of important persons from Skoda factory. The work was divided into two important parts: from the beginning of artillery production at Skoda factory to the end of twenties of the twentieth century and the second part started at the beginning of thirties to the end of the second World War, when there were developed a lot of modern artillery constructions for the Czechoslovak army and German Wehrmacht. This work was is based on the work with primary archive research at Factory Skoda archive at Plzen, Central military archive in Praha and on the work with secondary literature. Since its beginning Skoda factory became the largest producer of artillery material in Austrian monarchy, during the first war they developed a lot of new and progressive constructions at fortress material and at field artillery material including heavy siege artillery. During the first republic period they...

Katedrála v současnosti / Cathedral today

Rampáčková, Monika January 2020 (has links)
The master's thesis deals with famous Notre-Dame de Paris, which was destroyed by fire in 2019. The work focuses specifically on the design of completion of the construction. The cathedral is situated in the historical centre of Paris on the Île de la Cité. A lot of damage was caused to the building after the devastating fire on 15 April 2019. The aim of the thesis was to create a spiritual place that would maintain its past, but at the same time manage to follow ecological solutions in the present. The new design of the attic creates a sacred place, in which we realize the importance of faith and the peace of God. The cathedral is open to the general public ? religious people from all over the world come here to experience the love, joy and happiness that the cathedral invokes. The whole attic can be described as an open space, which symbolizes infinity or immortality from the religious point of view. It represents the connection of the past, present and future. The space is designed to hold priestly celebrations and to be open for the public. It can also be used for various events, such as exhibitions of sculptures that survived the fire.

Modeling And Stabilization Control Of A Main Battle Tank

Karayumak, Turker 01 September 2011 (has links) (PDF)
In this study, a parametric model for a main battle tank electric gun turret drive system stabilization controller has been developed. Main scope was the study of the muzzle deviation due to barrel flexibility. Traverse and elevation dynamics has been modeled to include the drive-line and barrel flexibilities. Order of the models has been kept large enough to cover the frequencies dominant in the interest scope but at the same time low enough to create a parametric model which can be used in real-time fire control computers. Therefore a 5-dof elevation and a 7-dof traverse models have been implemented. These models have been used to design a classical feedback and feedforward controllers which performed good enough to meet 0.5mrad stabilization accuracies. After satisfactory results have been obtained from the stabilization controller, a special coincidence algorithm has been implemented by time-series analysis of the disturbance signal which is constantly being measured by the feedforward gyro. Necessity of predicting the future muzzle angular orientation due to the latency in fire is discussed and by using autoregressive modeling of the disturbance signal, future values of the disturbance signal has been entered into the observer model. The prediction horizon has been set to the time delay value between the trigger is pulled by the gunner and the ammunition exit from the muzzle. By checking the future coincidence within a very narrow windowing (0.05mrad) a 100% first round hit probability in theory has been achieved. This is assured since the coincidence inhibited the fire signals which were to miss the aiming point with a large error.

Perception visuelle pour les drones légers

Skowronski, Robin 03 November 2011 (has links)
The last decade has seen the emergence of many Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) which are becoming increasingly cheap and miniaturized. A mounted video-camera is standard equipment and can be found on any such UAVs. In this context, we present robust techniques to enhance autonomy levels of airborne vision systems based on mini-UAV technologies. First, we present a camera autocalibration method based on central projection based image \dimension{2}-invariants analysis and we compare it to classical Dual Image of the Absolute Conic (DIAC) technique. We present also a method to detect and calibrate turret's effectors hierarchy. Then, we propose a new algorithm to extract a calibrated camera self-rotation (visual gyroscope) and we apply it to propose a real-time video stabilizer with full perspective correction.
