El proyecto consiste en el desarrollo de una Escuela Gastronómica en el Centro Histórico de Lima. Se plantea en este lugar como punto de partida para un futuro y progresivo crecimiento del turismo gastronómico a esta zona. La estrategia urbana plantea generar una calle pública peatonal, junto con espacios públicos de estar como un oasis en respuesta al caos que actualmente significa el Centro Histórico. Busca integrarse al entorno con los usos mixtos complementarios con vocación gastronómica, que complementen la función principal del proyecto: la escuela, a través de un aprendizaje teórico y sobre todo, experimental. Asimismo, busca integrarse a través del empleo de estrategias propuestas por el regionalismo crítico para de alguna manera, rescatas y potenciar la memoria colectiva del lugar. / The project consists of the development of a Gastronomic School in the Historical Center of Lima. It is proposed here as a starting point for a future and progressive growth of gastronomic tourism to this area. The urban strategy aims to generate a public pedestrian street, along with public spaces to be like an oasis in response to the chaos that the Historic Center currently means. It seeks to integrate into the environment with complementary mixed uses related to the gastronomic vocation, which complement the main function of the project: the school, through theoretical and, above all, experimental learning. Likewise, it seeks to integrate through the use of strategies proposed by critical regionalism to somehow rescue and enhance the collective memory of the place. / Trabajo de investigación

The aim of the thesis is to create a strategy for the gradual integration of the dilapidated area into the city's cultural hub. This project is primarily focused on harnessing the lucrative position of a sugar factory in the center of the city and trying to create the ideal conditions for the emergence of a commercially viable urban environment within it. The area has the potential to create a much needed city center. The location is convenient and the existences of monumental former storage halls, which are among the oldest buildings in the city, would encapsulate the industrial heritage of Břeclav for this venture. Thus, the revitalization can assess both the area's location and surroundings, and more broadly even the more expansive imagery of the whole city. The task of the thesis is not to determine the final form of the area but rather to determine the direction in which the revitalization could go. Emphasis is placed on the process and methodology of renewal.

ZBROJOVKA BRNO - Opportunity for the city Strategies for Zbrojovka Brno, the third largest brownfield in the city. Urban policy and the process of integration of the site into the city and connection with his organism. L’actuelle reconfiguration de l’activité maritime et portuaire s’accompagne de mutations majeures qui appellent à un renouvellement de la gouvernance des villes portuaires. Trois des principales villes portuaires de la Rangée Nord-Ouest Européenne – à savoir Anvers, Le Havre et Rotterdam – expérimentent la diffusion du paradigme stratégique et la diversité de projets induits.Pour répondre aux enjeux théoriques et opérationnels issus d’un tel contexte, cette thèse est structurée autour de quatre volets – dont l’analyse de l’impact des instruments de planification stratégique sur les processus d’aménagement dans les villes portuaires. L’élaboration d’une méthodologie pertinente pour appréhender la complexité des enjeux d’aménagement des villes portuaires et le nouveau contexte de production des politiques d’aménagement constitue le deuxième volet. L’étude du lien entre planification stratégique et cohérence territoriale en est le troisième. Par ailleurs, il s’agit d’étudier la possibilité de modéliser les différents types de planification stratégique. Cette recherche est conduite selon une méthodologie pluridisciplinaire et une analyse systémique.Outre la méthode d’analyse des démarches stratégiques et de la complexité des villes portuaires, les travaux menés permettent, d’une part, de mieux appréhender la redéfinition actuelle des processus d’aménagement et, d’autre part, d’évaluer l’intégration de la cohérence territoriale dans les politiques d’aménagement des villes portuaires.Enfin, la formalisation théorique des projets stratégiques débouche sur une typologie originale des 3 modèles de planification stratégique mis en évidence à Anvers, au Havre et à Rotterdam. / Port and maritime activity are currently undergoing an important reorganisation. This phenomenon goes hand in hand with prominent evolutions triggering a renewal of port cities governance. Among the Northern Range, three major cities – namely Antwerp, Le Havre and Rotterdam – have been experiencing the spreading of the strategic paradigm followed by a diversity of strategic projects. In order to answer the theoretical and operational issues induced by this renewed context, the research is structured around four axes among which the analysis of strategic planning instruments and its impact on spatial planning processes in port cities. Conceiving a methodology that allows explaining the complexity of port cities constitutes an important challenge. As such, it is the second axis explored. The link between strategic planning and territorial coherence forms the third axis. Finally, the opportunity of modelling strategic planning of port cities is the fourth axis. The research follows a cross-disciplinary approach coupled with a systemic analysis. On top of providing a specific methodology to analyse strategic planning and port cities complexity, the doctoral study contributes to a better understanding of spatial planning processes and their current redefinition. It also produces an evaluation of the way territorial coherence is integrated to spatial planning policies in port cities. Last but not least, the research presents a theoretical formalisation of strategic processes leading to an original typology of the three strategic planning models identified in Antwerp, Le Havre and Rotterdam.

Södra station area is a central neigbourhood at Södermalm, that was planned and built during the 1980s. During that time it was one of the largest postmodern urban planning projects in Stockholm. The intent was to imitate the urban pattern of the central parts of Stockholm with its mixed-use diversity, hence to “promote a rich social life” (Idétävling omSödra stationsområdet 1980, 4). This project investigates the urban form of the Södrastation area, focusing on the interface between public and private space, and proposing new urban features and land-use programs to further support and encourage public life in a central part of Södermalm. Observation of the area and refernance research show that the urban form of the Södra station area deviates form its surroundings and has low support towards its public spaces. How may the streets and the public spaces of the area be enliven? / Södra stationsområdet är en centralt belägen stadsdel på Södermalm. Området planerades och byggdes under 90-talet. Under den tiden var det den största postmoderna stadsbyggnadsinsatsen i Stockholm. Avsikten vid planarbetet var att forsätta på innerstadens blandstadsstruktur för att "befrämja ett rikt social liv" (Idétävling omSödra stationsområdet 1980, 4). Det här examensarbetet undersöker den urbana formen av Södra stationsområdet med fokus på gränssnittet mellan privat och offentlig mark. Därtill föreslås en strategi med nya urbana inslag och markanvändningsprogram med syftet att både stödja och uppmuntra det offentliga livets kontinuitet i en central del av Södermalm.  Observation av stadsdelen och forskningsreferenser visar att områdets stadsstruktur avviker från de omkringliggande stadsdelarna och ger i dess utformning svagt stöd mot offentliga utrymmen. På vilka sätt kan man uppmuntra till livfulla offentliga miljöer?

El proyecto consiste en desarrollar un Mercado de abastos dentro del distrito de Chorrillos, en Lima. Se planteó sobre un mercado existente el cual se encuentra en estado de precariedad el cual no posee una infraestructura e instalaciones suficientes para los usos que se requieren y no aporta nada bueno a su entorno. La estrategia urbana planteada logra una integración con el entorno inmediato a partir de unas plazas de acceso y una calle publica correctamente jerarquizada. Esta calle se vuelve un espacio importante del proyecto, pues une la calle de la estación del metropolitano con las viviendas ubicadas en las calles posteriores al mercado, buscando la integración del barrio. Por ende, este nuevo proyecto se propone como una infraestructura moderna y adecuada a las necesidades del mercado, aportando adicionalmente usos mixtos complementarios basados en la necesidad de la comunidad. / The project consists of developing a marketplace within the district of Chorrillos, in Lima. Its built upon a pre-existing market that is currently unstable and does not have sufficient infrastructure and facilities for the intended use, nor does it contribute positively to the surrounding environment. The proposed urban strategy achieves integration of the marketplace with the environment from a few entrance points and a properly ranked public street. This street becomes an important space for the project, since it joins the street of the ‘metropolitan station’ with the houses located on streets behind the market, looking to integrate the neighborhood. Therefore, this new project is proposed as a modern infrastructure adapted to the needs of the market, providing additional complementary mixed uses based on the need of the community. / Tesis

The aim of the Master Thesis is creation of strategy and tactics for revitalization and modernisation of the public area of Velké Němčice village. The urban study follows the analysis and conclusions evaluated in the previous semestrial work. The aim of the design is to find a suitable solution to complement the ineffectively used public spaces, and to design new locations into the structure of the village. The thesis comes up with a strategy that provide using of public spaces more. The proposal is based on analyses and consultations with the municipal council. The result of this work shows how to make a polyfunctional spatially and socially diverse environment with sustainability principles.
