This Project developed itself among territories of practicing and writing. Two parallel ways of investigation, possible in the actor's work. After 17 years of collective research at "Lume" as a researcher actress, turned out urgent to live a new challenge. To put myself again in a risky situation, to experiment a practical research process that led me to a new position of my body codes and their enlargement. I propose myself to the creation of a solo show under the direction and orientation of a Butoh's dancer - Tadashi Endo - which creative motives were childhood memories. After some months of investigation the show "You" was created, our poetic and practical story. Until this moment, 39 public shows were presented in the following cities: Sao Paulo, Goiania, Araraquara and Campinas. When he propose ourselves to a written narrative about a creative process of a theatric show and all the procedures that involves these investigations and the scenic presentation that results from this process, our narrative scenes, we went through two different narratives which also have two different expectations: those that have the access of the writing expect to find viability, proves and similarity in the applied procedures. And the receptor of the scenic poetry intends to be enchanted, rationally and sensitively. How can you put together these two ways of written narrative which are also the poetic creation, able to seduce, leading the readers to the ways of creation, and associating these ways to the information comprehensive in itself? The ambition was that through the narrative of the facts, the organization of the procedures of the experiences could happen, and in living these experiences, the construction of the body memory, their repetition and possible convey. Experience, narrative and information. Image and memory. The actor that proposes to write gets out of the scene to integrate other parts, the part of the narrator of a unique and particular experience that makes him a full part of that. The possible narrative was one of the searches of this project. How to organize procedures in a way that could help its view, analysis and evaluation, as much as it's convey keeping the principle of the experience freshness? To elaborate a narrative that it's also able to cause an experience to the one that receives. To pass through a singular experience and turn it in a plural way / Doutorado / Artes Cenicas / Doutor em Artes

Modernismus v Itálii a jeho podoby v dobových časopisech / Italian Modernism and its forms in the magazines from the beginning of the 20th century

Polišenská, Vladimíra January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this work is to present Italian modernism and its forms as we can find them in the magazines from the beginning of the 20th century. Due to their long-term activity magazines are a useful mean for studying social processes. For our analysis four magazines were chosen from which everyone represents a specific area: Leonardo magazine offers an overview of modern philosophic thoughts, Il Rinnovamento magazine reports on modernist movement within the Catholic Church, Lacerba magazine represents area of modernist art and literature and finally La Voce magazine can be considered a synthesis of topics with regard to processes going on in the Italian society at the beginning of the 20th century. After introductory part with description of historical and culture context the attention is focused on the magazines themselves explaining what was the motivation of their origin, how their program declaration developed and especially offering thematic analysis of their content. One of the examined areas is also described with regard to the concrete magazine and the effect it had on it. At the very end of the analytic part there is an evaluation of the magazines and their influence within the social transformation. Conclusion part offers an answer to the initial question, whether the word "modernism" is...

No. of bitstreams: 1 Lucia H Caetano.pdf: 4590170 bytes, checksum: dee77171451db12ae654f6a08471c30a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-05-17 / This research aims to examine the communicational contracts constructed by the Guia VOCÊ S/A EXAME As 150 Melhores Empresas para Você trabalhar s enunciator. Parting from this analysis we will examine the receptor that the guide constructs, the agenda setting and corresponding framework, as well as visibility strategies and cognitive maps that seek to modalize readers in order to build a successful company. One of the questions we can extract is: how is the modalized receptor to accomplish the enunciator s precepts in a way that his company is classified amongst the 150 best? It is formed the hypothesis that the Guia is not merely an informative publication directed to the corporative public, but part of a process that influences and modalizes this public to diverse practices of corporative management and conduct. The contract builds, therefore, not only the enunciator-whoinforms, but summons the receptor to a process of turning companies into a certain direction, acting as an appeal to experience, and involving all in this process of corporative transformation towards success. Edited by Editora Abril, the Guia measures, through annual organizational climate surveys, the level of satisfaction amongst employees towards their employing company; participation is voluntary. Thousands of employees answer the survey which, since 2006, has been administered by the Institute of Administration, Foundation (FIA), from the University of São Paulo s (USP) College of Economy and Administration (FEA). Previously, it had been made by the Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW), international consulting. The companies are visited by journalists whose opinions also have an influence on the classification decision. The Corpus is composed by the six latest editions, from 2003 to 2008: the three first ones having GPTW surveys, and the last ones, having FIA surveys. Publics, discourses, announcements, articles, journalistic pieces and editorials, as well as the researched topics and the grades given, have been analyzed. The research methodology is based on discursive analysis, having Diana Pessoa de Barros (Teoria Semiótica do Texto), J.L.A. Prado ( Regimes de Visibilidade ) e Norman Fairclough (A discourse and social change) as reference for the social contextualization. The interest on the theme comes from professional practice in the area of corporative communication. Until this moment we have found no other studies on this object from the communication and semiotics point of view / Essa pesquisa visa examinar os contratos comunicativos construídos pelo enunciador do Guia VOCÊ S/A EXAME As 150 Melhores Empresas para Você Trabalhar. Anteriormente, era feita pelo Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW), consultoria internacional.

L'integrazione cross-modale delle emozioni: componente mimica e vocale. Correlati psicofisiologici (ERPS) / Cross-Modal Integration of Emotions: Mimic and Vocal Components. Psychophysiological Correlates (ERPS)

CARRERA , ALBA 28 February 2007 (has links)
The study investigates the simultaneous processing of emotional tone of voice and emotional facial expression by event-related potentials (ERPs), through an ample range of different emotions. Auditory emotional stimuli and visual patterns were matched in congruous and incongruous pairs. ERPs variations and behavioral data (response time) were submitted to repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA). ANOVA showed numerous ERP effects, with different cognitive functions. Some of them, in particular the medium-latency P200, are highly sensible to pattern congruent/incongruent condition (with more intense amplitude for congruent rather then incongruent stimuli) and constitute intersensory integration specific markers. The other ERP effects, instead, are more sensible to the emotional content and signal the presence of cognitive processes that are more generally tied to the emotional decoding. Furthermore results show that, in the first processing phase, integration is an automatic and obliged phenomenon, while later it implies intentional decisional processes. Finally, a TR reduction was found for some congruous patterns (i.e. sadness) and an inverted effect for a second group of emotions (i.e. fear, anger, and surprise). Finally, behavioural results indicate that congruence causes a RT reduction for some emotions (sadness) and, on the contrary, an inverse effect for other emotions (fear, anger, surprise). This result is discussed with reference to different emotional correlates adaptive function and their respective cross-modal decoding processes.

A study of listening behavior and the effectiveness of aural modeling with undergraduate level singers

Zenobi, Dana Kate Long 03 August 2012 (has links)
The efficacy of aural modeling in music education at the primary and secondary levels is well documented, and anecdotal evidence among university studio voice teachers abounds. However, this topic has not previously been explored with undergraduate level singers using acoustic analysis of the singing voice. This investigation utilized a survey on listening behaviors to examine undergraduate voice students’ use of recorded aural models. In addition, an empirical study measured the effect of repeated exposure to recorded aural models on participants’ vocal production. Research was conducted at Southwestern University, a private liberal arts institution in Georgetown, Texas. Study participants were divided into two groups. The control group performed a newly-composed melody after a recorded aural model of the melody was played a single time. The experimental group completed 10-minute listening assignments once a day for a five-day period before performing the same melody. Data between the non-listening and listening groups was compared. Using a second newly composed melody, the control group then completed a five-day listening assignment and performed the second melody. Pre- and post-listening data from this group of subjects was compared. Listening assignments were adapted from a speech pathology remediation technique known as auditory bombardment. They involved listening to multiple repetitions of the recorded aural model without attempting to practice singing the melody. The study measured four acoustic parameters: musical accuracy (pitch and rhythm), vowel/consonant articulation, use of vibrato, and ratio of power between overtones above and below 2 kHz. The listening behavior survey revealed that most students use recorded aural models in their practice time. However, results indicated that students would benefit from professional quality aural models and specific information about appropriate time parameters for listening activities. Results of the empirical study revealed a statistically significant 20-30% improvement in vocal production in both the experimental listening group and the control group post-listening. These data demonstrate that focused periods of listening to an aural model are effective in improving vocal production, even within a short period of time. The results of this study support the inclusion of aural modeling in the applied voice studio. / text

[en] PATRICK MODIANO: THE CARTOGRAPHY OF AN AUTHOR, THE WRITING OF A CITY / [pt] PATRICK MODIANO: A CARTOGRAFIA DE UM AUTOR, A ESCRITA DE UMA CIDADE

ILANA GOLDFELD CARVALHO 21 August 2018 (has links)
[en] Patrick Modiano: The cartography of an author, the writing of a city is an investigation on the role the memory and the city s physical space play in the writing of Patrick Modiano, especially in the book So You Don t Get Lost in the Neighborhood (published in 2015 in Brazil under the name Para você não se perder no bairro and originally in France in 2014 as Pour que tu ne te perdes pas dans le quartier). The 2014 Nobel Prize winner in Literature s literary project is marked by the existence of autobiographical elements and is considered by many critics as autofiction. The present study tries to understand which thematic, linguistic and narrative traits are characteristic of his writing and also uses interviews given by the author to achieve so. It then analyses the different conceptions of memory that can be associated to the author and how these may appear on his texts. The research shows how forgetfulness occupies a prominent place in So You Don t Get Lost in the Neighborhood and the link between the protagonist s process of remembering and Paris, therefore observing how the space may be seen as a repository for memory. Thus, the present work investigates how Modiano draws a map of experience in his books, creating an emotional cartography from remnants of the past.
