Transformace části domácí blogosféry z formy osobních záznamů do jednoho ze segmentů české žurnalistiky / Czech Blog Transformation: From Private Notes to One Part of The Czech Journalism

Stratilík, Ondřej January 2011 (has links)
Diplomová práce by měla dokázat a popsat proces, v...

Huynh-Kim-Bang, Benjamin 29 October 2009 (has links)
Current ways for Web indexing are not sufficient for learning resources. Indeed, automatic indexing, e.g. Google, can hardly raise above the syntaxical level of contents while indexing by human experts implies high costs. But, recent approaches like Semantic Web and Participative Web (Web 2.0) offer promising solutions. A first part of our works concerns the study of Semantic Web applied to learning resources. We explore possibilities of reasonings applied to educational ontologies. A second part is about the study of functionalities on participative websites making easier the adding of content and metadata by visitors. Then we propose a model of participative website adapted to communities of teachers. Nevertheless, Semantic Web and Participative Web are often opposed. Formal ontologies generally produced by experts are opposed to heterogeneous tags added by numerous users with various profiles. In a third part, we propose a model melting Semantic and Participative. The goal of this model is to help developping applications for sharing resources into communities of practice. It is based on a Progressive and Multi-points of view Indexing in which: - users progressively structure metadata, to finally allow semantic reasonings by computers; - users progressively collaborate, to finally allow a shared vision of the domain by humans. This model is implemented into a social bookmarking tool, called SemanticScuttle, offering original features like tags structured by relations of inclusion and synonymy, or wiki spaces to describe tags. The tool was developped and tested with librarians in sociology during several months. Finally, our works allow us to formulate hypotheses about a social and technical model supporting sharing between teachers. They also contribute to models melting different indexing solutions: automatic or by humans, including experts or simple users, based on structured models (e.g. ontologies) or on flexible metadata (e.g. tags).

An Examination of Teachers' Integration of Web 2.0 Technologies in Secondary Classrooms: A Phenomenological Research Study

Boksz, Barbara Ann 01 January 2012 (has links)
An Examination of Teachers' Integration of Web 2.0 Technologies in Secondary Classrooms: A Phenomenological Research Study By Barbara A. Boksz © November 8, 2012 This study examined the process teachers used to change their pedagogy to deliver effective instruction using Web 2.0 tools. A phenomenological approach examined the "lived experiences" of seven secondary teachers through in-depth interviews giving this study an in-depth qualitative analysis of teachers and technology. The widening digital divide between teachers and students causes a barrier for educators trying to reach their students. Students are raised with pervasive technology, while teachers are using Web 2.0 tools on a personal basis, but may not yet be successful in adapting their pedagogy to effectively use the tools for instruction. The ease of use and user friendly interface of Web 2.0 tools makes them a possible catalyst to help teachers change their pedagogy. Past teacher professional development focused on providing teachers with the technical knowledge to bridge the gap, but has fallen short of causing the paradigm shift needed to change pedagogy to use current tools effectively. The Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework has been used in professional development and proven to lead to an effective change in teachers' pedagogy. Most current research has examined both the TPACK framework and Web 2.0 tools, but few researchers have looked at the teacher perspective on the issue. The findings of this study indicated the types of Web 2.0 tools and how they are being utilized, the reasons why teachers are using the tools for instruction, and the technological factors influencing their use. Lastly, the impact their TPACK had on their success in adapting pedagogy points to the need for support either through professional development or support from colleagues. The "lived experiences" of the teachers provided implications for professional development assisting in making the change process easier for teachers, administrators, and students. This study provided an in-depth look at the relationship between in-service teachers, their TPACK, and how it relates to educational technology. In addition, this study demonstrated the rigorousness of phenomenology as a primary research method for educational technology.

Web 2.0 Tools Improve Teaching and Collaboration in High School English Language Classes

Shihab, Mahmud 01 January 2008 (has links)
Web 2.0 tools, namely blogs, wikis, podcasts, and RSS were introduced to change teaching practices of in-service high school teachers to improve the collaboration of today's students in the English language classroom. Two high school teachers of English language and their classes participated. The teachers were interviewed about their current teaching practices and provided with training to develop teaching units that use Web 2.0 to engage students as active collaborators in their learning. They integrated blogs, podcasts, wikis, and RSS into their teaching. Additional interviews were conducted during and after the implementation stage. Implementation strategies, changes in teaching practices, challenges encountered, and the impact on student interaction and collaboration were closely examined. Students were surveyed at the conclusion. Teachers found that Web 2.0 tools made them more efficient in teaching. Blogging was the most powerful tool for journal writing and sharing ideas. Wikis were more difficult to use but were useful to facilitate group planning and collaborative construction of knowledge. Podcasts were useful for publishing audio recordings of interviews, speeches, and poetry recitals. RSS feeds made it easy for teachers and students to track updates on websites, posts on blogs, collaborations on wikis, and audio recordings on podcasts. Both teachers and students enjoyed the interactions and collaboration that took place in the English classroom using Web 2.0 tools.

Online Learning Communities: Enhancing the Acquisition of Information Skills by Undergraduate Students of the University of Puerto Rico at Carolina

Dominguez, Noraida 01 January 2010 (has links)
Despite the efforts that have been made to develop the information skills of undergraduate students, there are still limitations that one shot sessions of face-to-face library instruction or online tutorials present when they are the only options used to develop specific information skills in students. The purpose of this study was to investigate if the design and implementation of online learning communities are effective in supporting students while they are developing specific information skills. To prove this effectiveness, the use of online learning communities was compared to two other options of delivering instruction: online tutorials and one shot sessions of face-to-face instruction. Participants in this study were undergraduate students registered in four sections of an English course. The first group was the control group; they received one session of library face-to-face instruction. The second group participated through the online learning community. The third group completed four online tutorials, and the fourth group completed four online tutorials and participated through the online learning community. Data was gathered through two sources: (1) a pre-test and a post-test administered to all four groups, and (2) focus groups performed on all groups except the control group. After running ANOVA on the pre-test scores and not finding significant differences, ANOVA was run again on the post-test scores. The results from the post-test revealed that there was significant statistical difference among the four groups. The follow-up Tukey test revealed that the scores from the online learning community group significantly differed from the other groups, proving it to be the most effective treatment. On the other hand, the online tutorial group did not perform in a better way than the other groups, but when the online tutorial was combined with the online learning community treatment, the group performed significantly better than when the online tutorial was the treatment alone. When analyzing the results from the focus groups, the results indicated that the students that participated through the online learning community were more satisfied with the experience, than the participants in the other two groups. Lastly, the researcher made recommendations to enhance the development of specific information skills.

Towards a definition of Web 2.0 - a comparative study of the 'wiki', 'blog' and 'social network' as instances of Web 2.0

Lewis, Belinda Ann 03 February 2009 (has links)
Web 2.0 was a phrase coined in 2004 to describe the characteristics of web sites which survived the original Dot-com crash. Despite the discussion of this phenomenon in a wide variety of both academic and mass media sources, itʼs exact definition remains unclear. The relative contributions of technology and social participation to this phenomenon are particularly confused. The primary aim of this research report is to provide a clear and comprehensive definition of Web 2.0. This definition is determined through a combined social and technological analysis of blogs, wikis and social network sites, through their particular manifestations in Boing Boing, Wikipedia and Facebook respectively. It is the finding of this research that Web 2.0 is primarily the result of a natural evolution from Web 1.0 technologies and attitudes, and that Web 2.0 is essentially a social phenomenon. This research provides separate definitions for Web 2.0 technologies and Web 2.0 platforms. A Web 2.0 technology is any technology that aids and encourages simple intuitive user interaction through an architecture of participation. These technologies enable user feedback, and are thus constantly improved and exist within the ethos of a perpetual beta. Web 2.0 technologies embrace re-mix and mash-up philosophies. A Web 2.0 platform is a read-write Web platform designed to enable and encourage User Generated Content and interaction. These platforms can be built with any set of technologies, and their primary characteristics are social in nature, but the platforms must allow users to interact with the technology at either an open-source, network or appropriation level. These platforms become more powerful and richer the greater the number of people using the platform, and ultimately result in the formation of Web 2.0 communities.

Ruiz Cano, Danitza, Tello Rodríguez, Oscar Walter 04 July 2016 (has links)
Los resultados hacen aconsejable formar docentes que acrediten el / The purpose of this study was to know the didactic use of Web 2.0 tools for teachers in subject of Communication for Secondary Education in Nº 03 net UGEL Tacna. The selected subvariables were communication, creation and publication of contents and knowledge management. This research corresponds to a quantitative methodological approaching and non-experimental descriptive type survey design. The results indicate that the majority of teachers in the sample does not use Web 2.0 tools in teaching strategies, so it follows that they still use traditional court teaching methods. It also identifies that the tools used, but not for teaching purposes, were the social network Facebook and tool creation and publication of contents Youtube. There is identified also that the most used tools, though not with didactic ends, were the social network Facebook and the tool of creation and publication of contents Youtube. The results suggest forming teachers who accredit the use and domain of strategies based on the tools of the Web 2.0. / Tesis

O redesign do sistema Access to Memory (AtoM) para a curadoria digital de acervos museológicos heterogêneos /

Batista, Lucinéia da Silva. January 2018 (has links)
(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This project has, as object of study and customization, the software Access to Memory (AtoM), a system for description and representation of archival collections applied to the documentation department of a historical museum. The purpose of this application is to study the adaptation and use of AtoM in documentary production and representation of objects in museological institutions of diverse and heterogeneous collections. The system AtoM, originated from an agreement between the International Council on Archives and the group Artefactual, provides the description of memory collections and their consequent representation in archival institutions, giving information access to these collections. In this project, we seek to contribute to Information Science (IS) and Museology regarding the possibilities of access, sharing and interaction of the subjects with the information kept by these institutions, since the new potentialities of AtoM in the context of museums allow customizing the standardized description of objects and interoperability across systems. The initiative is justified by its social relevance once open, free and customizable software, such as the AtoM, with potentialities of horizontal information treatment allow a type of conversation among individuals, turning them into protagonists of their stories. Thus, an interdisciplinary investigation was carried out between IS and Museology and, then, a compilation of the concepts and themes listed for an optimal use of ...

Chauca Amado, Mildred Lorena 23 May 2012 (has links)
Tesis
