Scholars have long made the following assumption about the Isaurians during the reign of Zeno ; during his reign, Zeno was beset by a variety of Isaurian chieftains and military leaders who fought him, as well as each other, for power in and control of the Roman state. Discussions of the reign of Zeno tend to give an impression of a large group of Isaurian barbarians centered around two principal individuals (Zeno and Illus), who were preying on the Roman state. These two are themselves surrounded by lesser individuals, violent and opportunistic in relation to their importance. This seems to me to be an overly simplistic view which, if examined, will be in- correct

No / The protection of the coherence of open quantum systems against the influence of their environment is a very topical issue. A scheme is proposed here which protects a general quantum system from the action of a set of arbitrary uncontrolled unitary evolutions. This method draws its inspiration from ideas of standard error-correction (ancilla adding, coding and decoding) and the Quantum Zeno Effect. A pedagogical demonstration of our method on a simple atomic system, namely a Rubidium isotope, is proposed.

Nosso principal objetivo é rastrear seus passos, ouvir suas vozes dissonantes para, então, chegarmos a uma sentença acerca de sua constituição identitária, erigida através da narrativa. / Published in 1923, the novel La coscienza di Zeno (Confessions of Zeno/Zeno\'s conscience) is important for building a narrative which brings in its core the modernity which disrupts and transgresses literary model´s rules. The man described in it will be branded by frustrations, surrounded by nothingness, tormented by life´s anguish. In that context the narrator Zeno Cosini is introduced, whose character is dubious since the preface by his supposedly text editor and psychoanalyst. Puzzling and ambiguous, mister Cosini calls upon the use of many masks to cover his identity throughout his memories. By trying to hide and cover himself all the time, Zeno leaves to his reader an intriguing question about his identity, as well as the challenge of trying to answer Who is Zeno, anyway?. Therefore, this paper aims at investigating Zeno Cosini\'s possible identities. Following the deepest ways of his speech, the following paper seeks unveiling, uncovering Cosini that behind his masks, his ironic and ambiguous discourse hides such a fragmented and multiple identity as mankind of his age. It is not intended to label this writer even because it would be impossible. Our main goal is to trace his steps, hear his dissonant voices in order to reach a conclusion over his personality traits and identity structured through the narrative.

La Coscienza di Zeno é o romance de Italo Svevo mais bem elaborado em termos formais, ocupando um lugar entre as grandes obras do início do século XX. O autor constrói um romance propriamente moderno ao arquitetar uma narrativa que tem como princípio formal a ironia, vinculada à matriz romântica do conceito. É a partir do mecanismo irônico que o romance estabelece um jogo constante de contradições, ambiguidades e reconfigurações negativas que revelam suas limitações e suas falhas. Assim, a noção tradicional de romance é desconstruída e reelaborada formalmente, mediante um gesto negativo e autorreflexivo caro à literatura do início do século XX. La Coscienza di Zeno, apesar de inicialmente aspirar à configuração da totalidade do arco de uma vida, opera ironicamente durante seu percurso o oposto disso, ou seja, revela o caráter fragmentário da vida, cuja unificação total não é nada mais que uma falsa imagem. Afin de comprendre le processus d’acquisition de connaissance chez Platon, nous proposons une étude de la dialectique selon un spectre large, en se focalisant principalement sur la nature dramatique des textes du corpus. À partir d’une analyse des fondement éléates de la méthode antilogique, nous tenterons par le biais de la dialogique (ou sémantique des jeux) de comprendre le caractère agonistique de la méthode proposée par Platon dans ses dialogues. Nous tâcherons par la suite de faire le lien entre les conclusions intermédiaires et la structure générale de la métaphysique platonicienne afin de ne pas perdre la cohérence du système pris dans sa globalité. Nous évaluerons la qualité de l’outil interprétatif obtenu à travers une lecture du Gorgias. / Abstract : In order to understand Plato’s knowledge acquisition process, we suggest a wide-range study of the dialectic, mainly focusing on the theatrical nature of his texts. From an analysis of the eleatic foundations of the antilogical method, we will try to understand the agonistic feature of the method given by Plato in his dialogs by using the dialogical logic (or game semantic). Then, we will bind our mid-conclusions and the general structure of Plato’s metaphysic; in order not to loose the coherence of the whole system. We will evaluate the quality of our interpretative tool through a reading of the Gorgias.
