The Investigation of Land Utilization and Water Resource Requirements by Fuzzy Linear ProgrammingLin, Sheng-Chang 03 August 2003 (has links)
Under the consideration of ¡§avoiding the overusing the ground water¡¨, ¡§proper planning for the utilization of the land in the land-subsidence areas¡¨, and ¡§facilitating the exploitation of surface water and substitute water¡¨, we take eight counties included in the ground-water-constrained areas in Kaohsiung as illustrations to discuss the issue of optimal planning for matching the land-use and the demand of water resource.
Compared with the traditional Linear Programming, Fuzzy Linear Programming has received a great deal of attention in the recent years for its strength on working out results more fitting in with the uncertainty faced while making decisions in practice, and we adopt this model to solve the problem in this study. By separately following the Zimmermann¡¦s Symmetric Model, Werners¡¦s Symmetric Model and combining model of Delgado¡¦s Model and Flexible Programming, we show that setting 2006 as the target year, our models can properly describe linguistic objective and vague constraints after taking the uncertainty of the result into account and work out the optimal-alterative-based planning.

Cenzor a literát Jan Nepomuk Václav Zimmermann (1788-1836) / Censor and writer Jan Nepomuk Václav Zimmermann (1788-1836)Novotná, Monika January 2018 (has links)
This work exposes, evaluates and summarises academic and professional career of Jan Nepomuk Vaclav Zimmermann (1788-1836), who worked as a scriptor and a censor. It reviews his censoring and book-examining skills across all fields of book culture. It investigates and evaluates whether contemporary critical testimonies depict Zimmermann's rather negative character rightfully and accurately or not. Zimmermann devoted his time to examining and censoring Czech books and also Hebrew books. As a scriptor at University library, he was responsible for collecting, archiving and organizing manuscripts into catalogues. These catalogues have been filed in National Library for many years. Palaeographical analysis of the catalogues will bring in new facts concerning Zimmermann's autorship. This thesis also presents a list of Zimmermann's work with its historical critical evaluation and compares it to the recent research. Keywords: Jan Zimmermann, Manuscript Catalogues, University Library, Censorship, Censoring Hebrew Literature, Censoring Czech literature, of the Cross with the Red Star, Reformation of Catholic Church under the reign of Joseph II

Die Allianz-Mission und der Bund Freier evangelischer Gemeinden (BFeG): die Geschichte ihrer Beziehung und deren theologische Begründung = The German Alliance-Mission and the Federation of Free evangelical Churches in Germany: the history of their relationship and its theological rationaleSpohn, Elmar, 1967- 30 November 2007 (has links)
This thesis describes the unique transition of the German Alliance-Mission (GAM) from an
interdenominational faith mission to a denominational church mission agency. This process
was begun and developed by the affiliation on the Federation of Free Evangelical Churches in
Germany (FFEC). The GAM was in the beginning stage an intentionally interdenominational
mission agency. Their founding fathers Carl Polnick and Fredrik Franson were against denominationalism.
Therefore they could not imagine approaching one particular denomination
to work together. However, in the 1920's the GAM became more denominationally minded
through the influence of the new mission leaders. After World War II the leaders of GAM and
FFEC began to negotiate about cooperation. In 1960 the FFEC leaders asked their individual
congregations to support the GAM only. In 1975, it became necessary to record an agreement.
This agreement made the GAM the official world mission organisation of the FFEC in
Germany. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / M.Th. (Missiology)

Recognition Denied: An Examination of UK and US Foreign Policy towards the Republic of CroatiaLjubic, Maria Christina 02 May 2013 (has links)
This thesis examines the development of decision making taken by two countries, the United Kingdom and the United States, in response to Croatia’s declaration of independence from Yugoslavia. The focus is on the recognition process and the reasoning and rationale used by the government officials and diplomats of the United Kingdom and United States to arrive at their policy decisions and opinions. The concentration is mainly on events from the early 1990s until mid 1992. Topics explored include matters such the politics behind non-recognition, democratic social norms, respect for human rights and Western national interests.
The thesis first hypothesizes, then analyses, which International Relations theory, that is, realism or constructivism, possesses the best capacity explain why these nations initially withheld their recognition of Croatia’s independence before moving to accept the Republic of Croatia as an independent state. The role of the International Relations theories is to offer an interpretation and understanding of these events and decisions. Subsequently, they are judged on their ability to do so. The thesis finds that via the insight of scholars, analysts and theoretical perspectives that both the John Major government of the UK and the George H.W. Bush Administration of the United States behaved mostly according to realist principles, with some instances of constructivist manner.

Between accommodation, affinity and resistance : a historical investigation of German faith missions during the period of National SocialismSpohn, Elmar, 1967- 10 1900 (has links)
The subject of this study is a historical examination of the German faith-missions (in
contemporary terms: evangelical missions) during the period of National Socialism. This
topic has been neglected in scholarly research to date. This study describes how these mission
agencies acted in the context of the unlawful regime of National Socialism. Due to a
problematic source basis, the attitude the faith missions took towards the ursupation of power
by Hitler is demonstrated based on their own periodical publications. It emerges that they
largely positioned themselves at a distance to National Socialism, racism and anti-semitism.
However these publications also demonstrate a distance to the “Confessing Church”. In the
main body the examination of eight exemplary biographies based on detailed sources portrays
an array of different positions which range from affinity to the NS-system to persecution.
Furthermore the study shows that the issue of failure or guilt hardly played any role in the
postwar period. This study leads to the conclusion the political ethics of the German faith
missions were only rudimentarily developed, and only evinced themselves in an obedience to
the powers that be and in a basically apolitical attitude. / Christian Spirituality, Church History & Missiology / D. Th. (Missiology)

Dynamická analýza koleje / Dynamic analysis of trackMojžíšek, Dominik January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with descriptions of vehicle - track dynamic interface. There are described basic analytical models of railway track. The numerical models are created by using finite element methods with moving load simulated axle of rail vehicle. The aim of thesis is to create the model which most accurately describes the dynamic phenomena in the track. The results from models are compared with data obtained by measuring in the track. Next aim of thesis is to determine dependency of rail cross-sectional characteristics on equivalent rail head wear and then on rail deflection.
