Tvorba internetových aplikací pomocí Rich Internet Application Adobe AIR / Development of Internet Application Using Rich Internet Application Adobe AIR

Šimík, Adam January 2009 (has links)
This thesis explores the development of desktop applications using Adobe AIR (Adobe Itegrated Runtime) technology. Applications like these are based on web technologies but they do not have such restricted access to resources of operating system as web applications. Moreover, it is possible to install these applications on various operating systems without the need of their previous compilation for a specific operating platform. Apart from describing technologies used for developing AIR applications, this thesis also presents an application which is used for testing the possibilities and features that AIR technology offers.

Automatická koordinace a řízení procesů na platformě Java / Automated Arrangement and Coordination of Processes on the Java Platform

Janyš, Martin January 2015 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is the topic of the resilience and stability of web applications with a focus on the Java platform. Many existing information systems based not only upon this platform face problems that disturb the stability of applications. These problems may result in the failure, downtime and, consequently, financial or business loss due to the malfunction of the whole service. The aim is to show the problems that the applications face in a production environment and to show how to address them proactively. A possible partial solution to increase the stability may be an appropriate configuration of JVM (Java Virtual Machine), an analysis and corrections of detected errors, or a technique called Sandboxing to increase the stability, which this thesis deals with. Using this technique, it is possible to divide the application into separate parts that cannot influence each other. This prevents the propagation of errors among the parts of the application and thereby increases the stability of the entire application. The target applications include the Java applications made with the help of Spring framework. The Sanboxing technique can be implemented into the applications built this way by means of suitable configuration, which ensures that the application run will be divided into specified parts that will be automatically tested and possibly restarted. The application then recovers itself in the affected areas without a complete failure. The project is called Java Capsules.

Reconnaissance des procédés de traduction sous-phrastiques : des ressources aux validations / Recognition of sub-sentential translation techniques : from resources to validation

Zhai, Yuming 19 December 2019 (has links)
Translation techniques constitute an important subject in translation studies and in linguistics. When confronted with a certain word or segment that is difficult to translate, human translators must apply particular solutions instead of literal translation, such as idiomatic equivalence, generalization, particularization, syntactic or semantic modulation, etc. However, this subject has received little attention in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP). Our research problem is twofold: is it possible to automatically recognize translation techniques? Can some NLP tasks benefit from the recognition of translation techniques? Our working hypothesis is that it is possible to automatically recognize the different translation techniques (e.g. literal versus non-literal). To verify our hypothesis, we annotated a parallel English-French corpus with translation techniques, while establishing an annotation guide. Our typology of techniques is proposed based on previous typologies, and is adapted to our corpus. The inter-annotator agreement (0.67) is significant but slightly exceeds the threshold of a strong agreement (0.61), reflecting the difficulty of the annotation task. Based on annotated examples, we then worked on the automatic classification of translation techniques. Even if the dataset is limited, the experimental results validate our working hypothesis regarding the possibility of recognizing the different translation techniques. We have also shown that adding context-sensitive features is relevant to improve the automatic classification. In order to test the genericity of our typology of translation techniques and the annotation guide, our studies of manual annotation have been extended to the English-Chinese language pair. This pair shares far fewer linguistic and cultural similarities than the English-French pair. The annotation guide has been adapted and enriched. The typology of translation techniques remains the same as that used for the English-French pair, which justifies studying the transfer of the experiments conducted for the English-French pair to the English-Chinese pair. With the aim to validate the benefits of these studies, we have designed a tool to help learners of French as a foreign language in reading comprehension. An experiment on reading comprehension with Chinese students confirms our working hypothesis and allows us to model the tool. Other research perspectives include helping to build paraphrase resources, evaluating automatic word alignment and evaluating the quality of machine translation.

Analyse de données textuelles d'un forum médical pour évaluer le ressenti exprimé par les internautes au sujet des antidépresseurs et des anxyolitiques / Text Mining Analysis of an Online Forum to Evaluate Users’ Perception about Antidepressants and Anxiolytics

Abbé, Adeline 08 November 2016 (has links)
Analysis of textual data is facilitated by the use of text mining (TM) allowing to automate content analysis, and is implemented in several application in healthcare. These include the use of TM to explore the content of posts shared online. We performed a systematique literature review to identify the application of TM in psychiatry. In addition, we used TM to explore users’ concerns of an online forum dedicated to antidepressants and anxiolytics between 2013 and 2015 analysing words frequency, cooccurences, topic models (LDA) and popularity of topics. The four TM applications in psychiatry retrieved are the analysis of patients' narratives (psychopathology), feelings expressed online, content of medical records, and biomedical literature screening. Four topics are identified on the forum: withdrawals (most frequent), escitalopram, anxiety related to treatment effect and secondary effects. While concerns around secondary effects of treatment declined, questions about withdrawals effects and changing medication increased related to several antidepressants.Content analysis of online textual data allow us to better understand major concerns of patients, support provided, and to improve the adherence of treatment.

Sri Venkata Vamsi, Veeramreddy January 2021 (has links)
This paper represents the android mobile application which is built to track thelast position of the user through satellites which are available for communication.Today mobile applications are becoming an important role in our daily lives andthere is an app for everything you imagine. This app was focusing to get thedevice location with available satellites if internet connection in the device andwith telephone network when there is no internet connection in the device. The main idea of this application was give help to the every women a helpin dangerous situations, whenever the user triggers the alert icon on the androidapplication it creates communication between satellite and database. As androidusers increasing day by day this application gives the security for women in dangerous situations. If there is an internet connection in the android device it usesavailable GNSS satellites to send position of the device otherwise. If the internetconnection was not stable in the device then it sends the location through a shortmessage service (SMS) it gives more reliability for users to use this application.Ifthe internet in the android device was stable then the database server automatically updates the position of the user in google sheets. This information givesthe exact position of the user in dangerous situations. As there are so manyother application with same working function this application was different fromall others. This application has some unique features in it, as it stores the everynew location of the user for every 5minutes this tells the exact location of theuser. This application uses the all available GNSS satellites to get the location ofthe user

Secure Application Development / Static Application Security Testing (SAST)

Alwan, Alaa January 2022 (has links)
Security testing is a widely applied measure to evaluate and improve software security by identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring security requirements related to properties like confidentiality, integrity, and availability. A confidentiality policy guarantees that attackers will not be able to expose secret information. In the context of software programs, the output that attackers observe will not carry any information about the confidential input information. Integrity is the dual of confidentiality, i.e., unauthorized and untrusted data provided to the system will not affect or modify the system’s data. Availability means that systems must be available at a reasonable time. Information flow control is a mechanism to enforce confidentiality and integrity. An accurate security assessment is critical in an age when the open nature of modern software-based systems makes them vulnerable to exploitation. Security testing that verifies and validates software systems is prone to false positives, false negatives, and other such errors, requiring more resilient tools to provide an efficient way to evaluate the threats and vulnerabilities of a given system. Therefore, the newly developed tool Reax controls information flow in Java programs by synthesizing conditions under which a method or an application is secure. Reax is a command-line application, and it is hard to be used by developers. This project has its primary goal to integrate Reax by introducing a plugin for Java IDEs to perform an advanced analysis of security flaws. Specifically, by design, a graphical plugin performs advanced security analysis that detects and reacts directly to security flaws within the graphical widget toolkit environment (SWT). The project proposed a new algorithm to find the root cause of security violations through a graphical interface as a second important goal. As a result, developers will be able to detect security violations and fix their code during the implementation phase, reducing costs.

En Modern Mobilapplikation, Från Idé Till Produkt / A Modern Mobile Application, From Idea to Product

Johnson, Niklas, Smogner, Peter January 2011 (has links)

Human Centered Approach for Reducing Household Food Waste by Tracking Fridge Inventory and the Use of Mobile Application

Laska, Marcel, Radenkovic, Marko January 2020 (has links)
Increasing amounts of food waste is becoming a problem in developed countries. This research project is about how to reduce food waste by tracking fridge inventory and the best-before date of fridge stored food by a smartphone application. Food waste occurs in several different ways. It can be found in the household, retail stores and in the catering and events sector. Food waste can also be classified as avoidable waste, possibly avoidable waste and unavoidable waste. This project focuses on the household sector and the use of a mobile application to track fridge inventory and best-before date. The purpose of the application is to try to reduce household food waste. There is previous research about reducing household food waste using mobile applications and they all take different approaches. This study focuses on building upon these previous approaches together with data gathered from our own questionnaire with Sweden as primary focus. The combined data results in our own mobile application solution that has been tested by users in Swedish households. The study’s research question is addressed by the use of the application during a period of one-week observation. Our data collection consists of the participants being interviewed at the end of the observation period. The interviews gathered information related to whether the users successfully reduced food wastage in their households.
