The subject of this diploma thesis is the design of post-tensioned road bridge over the valley. Two preliminary studies have been proposed and one of them was selected for more detailed processing. The selected variant is a box girder with a constant height 2,5 m. The construction id divided into five span and its total lenght is 240 m Span length of construction is 18,0 m. The construction was assessed for ultimate and serviceability limit state acording to standarts and regulation. Drawings and vizualizations ard parts of the diploma thesis.

The subject of this diploma thesis is the diagnostic survey of the masonry walls and the connecting bridge in the East Moat of Špilberk Castle. The thesis contains theoretical information about survey and diagnostics of building construction and then evaluation of diagnostic methods used for estimation of essential characteristics of masonry structures. In the practical part the diagnostic investigation of Špilberk Castle walls is processed. That includes determination of material characteristics of the studied structure. In the conclusion there is a suggestion of how to eliminate the structural defects found during the survey.

Proposal is based on research of traffic intensity and consequential assessment of traffic capacity. Another thesis subject is a verification of potencial proposal of elevated crossing in Sportovní street and Hradecká street, which exists only in one way in present. This proposal is only indicative and can be used for next stage of project documentation. Proposal of crossing in Hradecká and Palackého třída includes design of beam of elevated crossing and design of cover crossing. Elevated crossing of Sportovní and Hradecká is designed as a beam of crossing, which runs on bridge construction of concrete.

Die ASFiNAG unterhält mehr als 5.000 Brückenobjekte im Straßennetz. Die meisten von ihnen wurden in Stahlbeton- oder Spannbetonbauweise errichtet und insbesondere die Stützen sind hohen Belastungen durch Chlorid ausgesetzt. Dies führt langfristig zu einer Verringerung der Dauerhaftigkeit und Instandsetzungen sind daher erforderlich. Eine genaue Ermittlung der Depassivierung und ein Prognosemodell sind bei Chloridbelastung besonders wichtig für eine kosteneffiziente Erhaltung. Die neue Methode LA-ICP-MS (Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) ermöglicht exaktere Ergebnisse als die traditionelle Chloridbestimmung mittels Titration. Die Vorteile der beiden Methoden werden im Beitrag diskutiert und die Ergebnisse verglichen. Es wird gezeigt, dass die LA-ICP-MS-Methode zuverlässigere Ergebnisse liefert und durch die hohe Ortsauflösung der Chloridprofile sowie die genaue Bestimmung des Chloridgehalts noch nicht dagewesene Möglichkeiten für eine exakte Beurteilung und Prognose eröffnet.

The Influence of the Recommended LRFD Guidelines for the Seismic Design of Highway Bridges on Virginia Bridges

The influence of the recommended LRFD Guidelines for the seismic design of highway bridges in Virginia was investigated by analyzing two existing bridges. The first bridge has prestressed concrete girders and is located in the Richmond area. The second bridge has steel girders and is located in the Bristol area. The analysis procedure for both bridges is similar. First the material and section properties were calculated. Then the bridge was modeled in RISA 3D. Live and dead load were imposed on the bridge to calculate the cracked section properties of the bridge. The period of vibration of the bridge was also calculated. After the soil class of the bridge was determined, the design response spectrum curve of the bridge was drawn. The spectral acceleration obtained from the design spectrum curve was used to calculate the equivalent earthquake loads, which were applied to the superstructure of the bridge to obtain the earthquake load effects. Live and dead loads were also applied to get the live and dead load effects. The combined effects of the dead, live and earthquake loads were compared to the interaction diagram of the columns and moment strength of the columns. The details of the bridge design were also checked with the corresponding seismic design requirement.A parametric study was performed to explore the effects of different column heights and superstructure heights in different parts of Virginia. The column longitudinal reinforcing was increased to satisfy the bridge axial loads and moments that are not within the column interaction diagram. / Master of Science

FRP stands for Fiber Reinforced Polymer. FRP materials have yet to be introduced inbridge construction in Sweden. Composite materials can through combined componentsand manufacturing processes be tailored to fit advanced bridge designs. FRP materials arestrong, durable and of low weight. FRP materials give the superstructure reduced weightand are therefore a suitable alternative for industrial prefabrication. This report shows thatFRP materials are possible to use in bridge construction. With the introduction of a specificEurocode we are confident that FRP materials will become a competitive alternative inbridge construction in Sweden in the future. / Broar är förenade med stora kostnader, dels för att bygga och dels för att underhålla ochreparera. FRP står för Fiber Reinforced Polymer är ett erkänt material för många andraanvändningsområden, exempelvis flyg och bilindustri. I Europa finns en mängd FRP-broar,men materialet har ännu inte introducerats i någon bro i Sverige.FRP är ett kompositmaterial som genom olika kombinationer av komponenter ochtillverkningsprocesser kan skräddarsys för den aktuella uppgiften i en konstruktion. FRPmaterialär starka, beständiga och har en låg vikt. Fördelar med FRP inom brokonstruktionär att det ger överbyggnaden en minskad egenvikt och därmed är ett lämpligt alternativ attprefabricera industriellt, då bland annat transport- och lyftbarhet gynnas samt att en högbeständighet ger minskat underhåll.Då ingen litteratur hanterar FRP i Brokonstruktion har de intervjuades åsikter varit mycketviktiga för arbetet. Litteraturstudien har legat till grund för en ökad förståelse för egenskaperutmärkande för olika typer av FRP. Intervjuer har utförts med personer som i dagslägetkommit i kontakt med materialet inom brokonstruktion. Detta har gjorts för att nå ett relevantresultat med möjlighet att kunna identifiera materialets för- respektive nackdelar samtanledningen till det låga användandet i Sverige.Rapporten visar att materialet har positiva egenskaper och är möjligt att använda vidkonstruktion av broar. Det saknas i dagsläget en specifik Eurokod som på ett enhetligt sättredovisar hur materialet ska hanteras. Med införandet av en specifik Eurokod och om en nykompetens arbetas fram inom branschen är vi övertygade om att FRP-material kommer attbli ett konkurrenskraftigt alternativ vid brokonstruktion.

近年來隨著法規與市場逐漸的開放,使得券商可以發行衍生性商品的種類也逐漸增加,而在眾多結構型商品中,不少商品其連結標的包含了多資產與路徑相依條款,可以看成投資一藍子股票且具有多個觀察時間的商品,一方面若連結資產上漲投資人將可得到一定的報酬,另外一方面同時具有下方保護的條款可避免本金嚴重虧損。 而此類商品包含了多資產連結且有路徑相依條款,在評價方面是一個高維度的問題,若使用傳統的蒙地卡羅法來評價,因其收斂速度緩慢常需秏費大量的計算時間,使得蒙地卡羅法在應用上有此缺點,一般來說可以使用對立變數法或控制變數法來改進收斂的速度,另外也可以使用低差異性數列即所謂的準蒙地卡羅法來改進收斂速度,並且準蒙地卡羅法與布朗橋結構或主成份分析法相結合還可加快收斂速度。 本文主要提供二種不同報酬型態的商品,第一個商品為低維度上入局商品,其報酬型態與障礙型選擇類似,第二個商品為連結多資產且路徑相依商品,以此兩商品來探討各種不同方法在不同報酬型態下的收斂速度與準確性,最後文中模擬的結果顯示在所有方法中,使用準蒙地卡羅法結合主成份分析法皆可以得到不錯的收斂速度與準確性。
