The creation of the Assis Chateaubriand city, in 1966, and the news broadcast nationally by Journalist's communication tools, that gave the name to the city, they attracted migrants from all over the country in search of land and work. The arrival of migrants made the population of the city appears as the eighth largest in Paraná, in the 1970 census, four years after the emancipation of the city. But the permanence of the migrant population in the city did not occur in view of the difficulties of access to land, in the first moment and in the process of agriculture’s modernization. In this sense, it had an expulsion and expropriation of many families that migrated to other regions of Brazil, as well as to urban and industrialized centers, what registered in the history of the freshly created city, one of the largest events of populational withdrawal. / Esta pesquisa busca compreender a dinâmica populacional do município de Assis Chateaubriand, situado no Oeste do Estado do Paraná, considerando a apropriação da terra e a modernização da agricultura. A criação do município de Assis Chateaubriand em 1966 e as notícias veiculadas nacionalmente, pelos instrumentos de mídia do Jornalista que deu o nome à cidade, atraíram migrantes das mais diversas partes do país em busca de terra e trabalho. A chegada de migrantes fez com que a população do município, no censo de 1970, aparecesse como a oitava maior do Paraná, quatro anos após a emancipação municipal. Mas a permanência dessa população migrante no município não ocorreu em vista das dificuldades de acesso à terra, num primeiro momento, e posteriormente, ao processo de modernização da agricultura. Nesse sentido, houve uma expulsão e expropriação de muitas famílias agricultoras, as quais migraram para outras regiões do Brasil, bem como para centros urbanos e industrializados, registrando na história do recém-criado município, um dos maiores eventos de retirada populacional do campo.

This master thesis written in French language "Le topos de Prague dans la littérature francaise" is analysing literature pieces: Le Passant de Prague and Zone, Guillaume Apollinaire, L'insoutenable légèreté de l'être, Milan Kundera, HHhH, Laurent Binet, La vie brève de Jan Palach, Anthony Sitruk, Mémoires d'outre-tombe, René de Chateaubriand, Les Lettres, Prosper Mérimée and poem Charles Bridge from Cycle de Prague, Serge Patrice Thibodeau. In the main part of the work emphasis is placed on the use of the unique topos of Prague, the purpose of its selection, its role and function in the literary text, as well as intertextual interconnection with other works working with the motifs of Prague. In the introduction, a literary theoretical concept is defined and demonstrated on other examples than this capital city, as there are more definitions and ambiguity in the understanding of this concept could cause difficulties in interpreting the results of text analysis. The result of the work is a limited number, yet three centuries and several genres covering a set of francophone texts that work with the topos of Prague. This is at the end enriched of work with a didactic outline of the use of results, actually the topic of this work in general, in French language lessons in Czech schools. KEYWORDS topos;...

This dissertation seeks to examine the historical context of Franz Lizt’s oratorio Christus and explore its obscurity. Chapter 1 makes note of the much greater familiarity of other choral works of the Romantic period, and observes critics’ and scholars’ recognition (or lack thereof) of Liszt’s religiosity. Chapter 2 discusses Liszt’s father Adam, his religious and musical experiences, and his influence on the young Franz. Chapter 3 explores Liszt’s early adulthood in Paris, particularly with respect to his intellectual growth. Special attention is given to François-René, vicomte de Chateaubriand and the Abbé Félicité de Lamennais, and the latter’s papal condemnation. After Chapter 4 briefly chronicles Liszt’s artistic achievements in Weimar and its ramifications for the rest of his work, Chapter 5 examines theological trends in the nineteenth century, as exemplified by David Friedrich Strauss, and the Catholic Church’s rejection of such novelties. The writings of Charles Rosen aid in decribing the possible musical ramifications of modern theology. Chapter 6 takes stock of the movements for renewal in Catholic music, especially the work of Prosper Gueranger and his fellow Benedictine monks of Solesmes, France, and of the Society of Saint Cecilia in Germany. Liszt’s interest in these movements, and in the style then in use in the Sistine Chapel, also receive comment. Chapter 7 analyzes Christus itself, and explains it as a synthesis of the styles then in use by Catholic composers of the era. Chapter 8 concludes with musings on the state of Catholic music, suggestions on how that field could be improved, and Christus’s future. / Music Composition / Accompanied by one .pdf score: Denarius: Two movements for Orchestra.

L'objectif du présent travail est l'étude de l'ouvrage Mémoires d'outre-tombe, de François-René de Chateaubriand. Avant de procéder à la traduction des cinq premiers volumes, nous proposons une synthèse de la période historique qui a servi de toile de fond à l'ouvrage ainsi qu'une genèse de l'écriture de ce texte mémorialiste, tout en mettant l'accent sur les modifications présentes dans le processus de rédaction qui a duré près de quarante ans. Dans un second temps, l'analyse du corpus traduit permet de connaître la construction du sujet autobiographique du récit. L'étude se propose de présenter la particularité de ce sujet formé à partir de la double nécessité de créer une subjectivité autonome et de maintenir des liens profonds avec son histoire. Elle aborde les rapports entre le texte et l'héritage des genres auxquels Chateaubriand avait alors accès, en particulier le genre des mémoires et celui de l'autobiographie. L'ensemble de ces éléments permet de détailler les analyses sur le moi autobiographique issu de l'articulation opérée par le narrateur-personnage principal entre la perspective intimiste et la perspective historique. / Este trabalho tem como objetivo o estudo da obra Mémoires d'outre-tombe, de François-René de Chateaubriand. Procedemos, inicialmente, à tradução de uma parte da obra - seus cinco primeiros livros -, estando esta tradução precedida por uma síntese do período histórico que serve de pano de fundo às Mémoires e também pela gênese da escrita deste texto memorialístico, com ênfase nas alterações em seu processo de redação que durou aproximadamente quarenta anos. A seguir, desenvolvemos uma análise centrada no corpus traduzido, que nos permite conhecer a construção do sujeito autobiográfico da narrativa. O estudo procura apresentar a particularidade deste sujeito que se forma a partir da dupla necessidade de criar uma subjetividade autônoma, de um lado, e de manter fortes laços com sua história, de outro. Investigamos as relações do texto com a herança dos gêneros que chegava então a Chateaubriand, mais precisamente com o gênero das memórias e com o da autobiografia, a fim de examinarmos aspectos da composição narrativa que formam sua dimensão autobiográfica. Diante desses elementos, pudemos, enfim, detalhar as análises sobre o eu autobiográfico que resulta da articulação, feita pelo narrador-protagonista, da perspectiva intimista e da perspectiva histórica.

Convocamos os registros do idealizador do museu, Assis Chateaubriand, de seus diretores Pietro Maria Bardi e Lina Bo Bardi e dos mecenas que contribuíram financeiramente para a aquisição dos quadros, Geremia Lunardelli, Sinhá Junqueira, Drault Ernanny, Orozinho Roxo Loureiro, Yolanda Penteado e Jacques Pilon para encontrar possíveis motivações e justificativas que permitem compreender o empreendimento do MASP enquanto parte de um amplo projeto de modernidade encampado por agentes, empresas e governos nacionais e internacionais.
