Expressões do exílio nos contos de José Rodrigues Miguéis: uma análise cronotópica do despertencimento / Expressions of exile in the tales of José Rodrigues Miguéis: a chronotopic analysis of the non-belongingLevai, Laerte Fernando 20 April 2017 (has links)
The tales of José Rodrigues Miguéis, constructed under the sign of exile, bear the mark of ambivalence in the five collections published once every decade of his literary life: Onde a Noite se Acaba (1946), Léah e Outras Histórias (1958 ), Gente da Terceira Classe (1962), Comércio com o Inimigo (1973) and Pass(ç)os Confusos (1982, posthumous). It is through the door of the chronotopes that one sees the unfortunate cycle of the Miguéisian subject, whose fate marked by the trip-disconcert-agony joins the dynamics of social-psychological-metaphysical exile. In a time of so many wars and tyrannies, where the reality of non-place is opposed to the dream of reintegration, fort the emigrant exiled from himself and from the world remains strong memory or art to recover what he lost. In this scenario of uncertainties, the stigma of non-belonging goes beyond the personal contingency of narrators or central characters to become a symbolic element of the human condition.

Chronotopos Ostdeutschland aus der Sicht westdeutscher Autoren : vergleichende Roman-Analyse zu einem Motiv bei Jan Böttcher und Andreas Maier / The chronotope of East-Germany from the West-German perspective : comparative novel analyzing to a motive at Jan Böttcher and Andreas MaierBeck, Christoph January 2010 (has links)

Místo lesa v literárních pramenech 14.-15. století v česko-francouzsko-anglické perspektivě / The Place of the Forest in Fourteenth- and Fifteenth-Century Literary Sources, a Czech-French-English PerspectiveTurek, Matouš January 2015 (has links)
The master thesis presents and analyses a range of different ways in which the motif of the forest was treated in late-medieval literary sources as an element of thematic and compositional construction of the text. At the theoretical basis of the thesis is the concept of diachronic text reception and adaptations which bring along the transmission and simultaneous transformation of the use of topoi, while this process is being related to the development of the literary chronotopos signalizing a change in the public's horizon of expectation. The majority of sources for analysis are drawn from Czech sources of the long 14th century - courtly and chivalric romance, the Old Czech verse legend of St. Procopius and the Dalimil Chronicle - while a shorter part of the thesis is devoted to the presentation of individual tendencies in the development of the use of the forest topos in English and French literary allegory of the 14th and 15th centuries. In detailed comparison of specific passages from Old Czech texts with their actual models in other languages (Old Middle German, Latin), the thesis demonstrates, upon the example of the forest topos, that topoi do not represent fixed, inalterable clichés, but actually exhibit intense shifts in function, content and theme.

Räume der (Nicht-)Zugehörigkeit : Zur Räumlichkeit im Roman Flammenwand. (2019) von Marlene Streeruwitz / Spaces of (un)belonging in the novel Flammenwand. by Marlene StreeruwitzTengberg, Piia Susanna January 2022 (has links)
This study explores the theme of spatiality as based on a reading of the novel Flammenwand. Roman mit Anmerkungen. by Marlene Streeruwitz, and takes as its focus points the notion of atopias/non-places, the disciplining nature of spaces, the necropolitics of division, and the idea of chronotope to discover how the story is situated. The study further considers how idyllic interpretations of the space of origin are treated as utopic in the novel. Relying as well on Jurij M. Lotman’s thoughts on the structure and limits of the text/work of art, the study aims to suggest how the theme of boundaries and transgressing them also is shown in the form of the novel.
