Možnosti financování kompenzačních pomůcek u dětí s tělesným postižením / The possibilities of financing of compensatory aids for handicapped children

JIRÁSKOVÁ, Eva January 2007 (has links)
The goal of this paper is to show the basic survey of the compensation aid tools that are good and a sometimes necessary for a good development of the handicapped child, for his better social integration and for the well function of his family. I also wanted to present the possibilities of financial support from health insurance companies, social- and health department and last, but not least the support of nonprofit organizations. The survey shows that parents does not have enough information about gathering financial support for compensational instruments for physically handicapped children. We can also mention that the information receive mainly from their friends, parents of handicapped children and in Southern Bohemia even thanks to Chilren Centre called ``ARPIDA``, which provides the complex care especially to children with corporal and combined handicap. It also follows that parents would thank to any other chance about possibilities of financing compensational instruments by means of doctors, informational materials, etc.

Samverkan mellan bibliotekarie och lärare kring elever med dyslexi : En intervjustudie av fyra bibliotekariers erfarenheter kring elever med dyslexi och samverkan med lärare kring dyslektiska elever / Interaction between librarians and teachers about students with dyslexia : An interview study of four librarians experiences of students with dyslexia and collaboration with teachers around the dyslexic students

Levander, Ann January 2010 (has links)
This research focus on key groups; students with dyslexia, librarians and teachers, and interaction between these two professional groups regarding students with dyslexia. In searching for the exchange of knowledge and experience to meet dyslexic students needs, I have in this study turned the attention to librarians and their experiences with students with dyslexia. The purpose of the research has been through semi-structured qualitative interviews with four librarians, to explore and describe how they experience their work, in working with pupils with severe reading and writing problems, dyslexia, and interaction with teachers on this user group. The qualitative approach in the gathering of the empirical evidence is based on a desire to have an indepth and thoroughly understanding of the librarians experience. All informants in this study indicate that they see it as a natural part of their duty to keep themselves updated about dyslexia and what materials to suit the dyslexic user group. The informants have knowledge of dyslexia and have great knowledge and keep abreast on the latest technology of compensatory aids - alternative tools. The informants have primary a consulting and supply function for teachers and dyslexic students, where they are consulted on  suitable material in both fiction and facts in various disciplines. The informants highlights the importance of planning and preparation time to find suitable material, as audio books or easy read, so students who have a need for this also can be provided. They also have a major role in seeking information, then todays school is very demanding on the students to seek information themselves. The informants experience is that this requirement pose serious difficulties for dyslexic students. There is some discrepancy in the informants role depending on the library that they are employed at, where assignments and resources are of importance. Interaction between teacher and librarian occurred in a greater proportion with the secondary scool librarians than with the municipal and city librarian. Secondary school libraries are direct target at school activities and assignments and secondary school librarians are situated in school. They have transparency and participation in school activities, facilitating the work to catch up and assist the dyslexic students needs, as well as interaction with teachers and school staff. The informants desire greater interaction and requested guidance to specify their work both on their own behalf, but above all to be clear externally. Since their experience is that teachers have little knowledge of what the library and the librarian may contribute with as resource in general and in particular for students with dyslexia and compensatory aids. This was particular the teachers who are referred to the municipal and city library, ie. those teachers who do not have the librarian in their immediate vicinity. The informants request more knowledge from the teachers regarding librarian skills to utilise the libraries potential as a collaboration partner.

"Bílá hůl, ano. Diktafon, ano. Ale všechno už je v Applu." Technologizace nevidomosti v přístupu symetrické etnografie / "White cane, yes. Dictaphone, yes. But everything is already in Apple." The technification of blindness in the symmetrical approach of ethnography

Haspeklová, Sára January 2020 (has links)
In the thesis I ethnographically study the process of interconnecting and mutual influencing of human and non-human entities in case of the visually impaired persons and the compensation devices based on computer technology. I examine this process, which I call "the technification of blindness", in symmetrical terms. The main theoretical inspiration for the study is the interplay of technology and the health-inconvenienced body and its consequences which are based on the Actor-Network Theory and related material-semiotic tools of social-science research. My aim is to analyse processes which enable/not allow to manage everyday activities to visually impaired persons in the Czech Republic, while they are using computer technologies and their relation with wider processes of accessibility. I trace mutual influencing of human and non-human entities on a specific configuration of visually disabled body with specifically modified personal computer, and with a touch-screen smart-phone. The study shows how the specific form of portable electronic and computer-based devices, which are specially adapted to seeing users, is what excludes blind and visually impaired persons from the interaction with computer technology. Such a cooperation and visual orientation of blind persons is allowed only thanks to...

Tankar om talböcker : elevperspektiv på Legimus / Thoghts about Talking Books : a student perspective on Legimus

Brink, Camilla January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to analyze the obstacles and possibilities that can be identified in students’ use of Talking Books and to get a sense of how students perceive teachers' attitudes and skills in this area. The method I used was a questionnaire answered by students in grade 4-9 that has a Legimus account. The result of the questionnaire is presented in tables and diagrams as well as a representative selection of quotes from the respondents. The results are interpreted based on a socio-cultural perspective (Vygotskij, 2001) as well as a theory of stigmatization (Goffman, 2014). In summary, the results show that respondents in this study for the most part are in favour of using Talking Books. They allege that Talking Books make it easier to understand texts and give them the opportunity to experience exciting books that they otherwise would have difficulty reading. Being able to read the same books as their classmates was also considered an important aspect. Despite the positive attitude of the majority of respondents, a number of negative factors was identified, such as the lack of expression in the reciter, the feeling that it is embarrassing to use Talking Books and the sense that their teacher thinks printed books are a better option. When it comes to how respondents perceive teachers’ attitudes and skills within the field, the results show great variations.

Hrušková, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
Barbora Hrušková, Rodičovství osob s těžkým zrakovým postižením Abstract (in English) The diploma thesis researches practical aspects of the parental role of persons with severe visual impairment. Its aim is to describe the experiences of visually impaired parents with preparing for the arrival of a child, with parental role and with childcare during a preschool age. Pracovní (výrobní) prostředí bez bariér / Barriere-free work (produce) environment

Boleslavská, Yvona Unknown Date (has links)
This dissertation Barrier-free Work Environment examines and emphasizes some elements, which are projected and will be projected even more into architectural production – architect’s work. Buildings designed specially to create a working environment accessible for disabled people are of a current interest and they will become a very prominent subject of social development in the future, because it will be necessary to react sensitively to the disproportions in human abilities and in the society’s capability to create new workplaces, implement progressive technologies, computer systems, and last but not least, to react to new possibilities of people’s creative invention. This thesis is based on the key definitions for this topic – the terms health and handicap. It is aimed at the ethics of communication in a society and its perception by a person with some kind of disability – handicap. This thesis also analyzes the limits of human possibilities in the context of contemporary and future progressive technologies. The topic of accessible workplaces necessarily derives from the historical development of workplaces, and it indicates the future trends of development. An important part of this thesis is concerned with the conditions for creating a friendly working environment, not only from the aspect of the construction itself, but mainly by the interior design, its flexible furniture, and special work tools not only for the handicapped. This dissertation and its contribution to the scholarly research are based on evaluation of an opinion survey, whose respondents were companies employing handicapped people. The analysis and consequent synthesis of the answers given by the employers of the disadvantaged people brought pieces of information, which are summarized in conclusions and recommendations.
