No. of bitstreams: 1 Roseli Gimenes.pdf: 3008590 bytes, checksum: 803e8f7533a4e976710ffe76d8fd6d11 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-11-04 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The main aim of this work is to feature the development of Brazilian literature considering principally, and from the nineteenth century onwards, the so-called literature of invention such as Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas by Machado de Assis, analyzing diachronically and synchronically the works of Gregório de Matos, during the Baroque period, Tomás Antonio Gonzaga, during Arcadismo, Oswald de Andrade during Modernism and, in the contemporary scene, the book A festa by Ivan Angelo, in terms of its interaction with the printed book, to finally focus on the cyberliterature by Clarah Averbuck, and the concrete and digital poetry by Augusto de Campos. When looking for the signs of printed and digital narratives in Brazilian literature, certain conclusions can be reached that show a poetry of invention and interaction, the influence of concrete poetry in cyberliterature as well as the marks of concretism in hyper digital short stories. As regards the teaching of literature, even in Distance Education, we have as our aim to observe the cognitive process of the students of Portuguese at university level, in private institutions, and their relationship with printed and digital narratives when studying Brazilian literature. This work also has as one of its hypotheses to prove the relevance of poetic works created by computers and having artificial intelligence as their starting point. This kind of literary works already foreshadows robots that tell stories, participate in scientific actions, and win chess matches, at the time that create meaningful narratives that will, eventually substitute poetic works, among other human actions and emotions. This part of the research was based on the works of theoreticians, such as John Searle who, with his metaphoric experience of The Chinese Room argued against strong artificial intelligence, and Roger Schank who, through the observation of children and, opposing Searle´s theories, believes in the learning process carried out by machines. The theoretical readings that vied the present research and conclusions on literature and the new technologies found inspiration, in particular, in the works of Lucia Santaella and her concept of “extended literature” and literature in the web, the works of contemporary literary theory critics such as Haroldo de Campos and Augusto de Campos, as well as the already canonical works on literary theory, for the analysis of printed works, prior to cyber literature by Alfredo Bosi, Antonio Cândido and Marisa Lajolo, among others, which waver in between the printed and the digital. It is to be expected that the discovery that creation, invention and interaction are inherent to poetical literary works will inspire teachers of Brazilian literature in their also inventive, creative and interactive interpretations done in class, in turn leading their students to surf the social medias, like blogs, magazines and literary sites, not only in search of entertainment but also of knowledge / O objetivo deste trabalho é colocar em destaque o percurso da literatura brasileira considerando escrituras, principalmente, a partir do século XIX, de caráter de invenção, como as Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas, de Machado de Assis, analisando diacrônica e sincronicamente obras e autores como Gregório de Matos, no Barroco, Tomás Antônio Gonzaga, no Arcadismo, e Oswald de Andrade, no Modernismo, observando qualidades de literatura de invenção; passando ao contemporâneo pela obra A festa, de Ivan Ângelo, apostando em sua interatividade ainda em livro impresso, à ciberliteratura de Clarah Averbuck, nas redes sociais, e à poesia concreta e digital de Augusto de Campos, aliada às novas tecnologias digitais. A buscar indagações sobre estilos de literatura impressa e digital, chegam-se a resultados que apontam criação poética de invenção e interatividade na literatura brasileira, da influência da poesia concreta aos fazeres da poesia ciberliterária, assim como de marcas do concretismo nos hipercontos digitais. Ao lado de questões acerca do ensinoaprendizagem, inclusive no ensino a distância de literatura brasileira, procuramos observar o perfil cognitivo dos alunos de cursos de Letras de instituições privadas e suas relações com o mundo impresso e digital quando trabalham a literatura brasileira. O trabalho também tenta alcançar a hipótese da criação poética feita por computadores a partir da inteligência artificial que já se prenuncia em instigantes trabalhos de robôs que contam histórias, participam de ações científicas e que ganham partidas de xadrez, mas que também constroem o sentido de que poderão substituir as criações poéticas, entre outras ações e emoções humanas, partindo de teorias como as de John Searle, que com sua metafórica experiência O quarto chinês argumenta desfavoravelmente à inteligência artificial forte, e Roger Schank que também com experiências na observação de crianças, contrário a Searle, aposta na aprendizagem pelas máquinas. As leituras teóricas que propiciaram as indagações e os resultados sobre literatura e novas tecnologias partiram, notadamente, das obras de Lucia Santaella a respeito de “literatura expandida”, de literatura nas redes sociais, assim como no apoio de contemporâneos da teoria literária como Haroldo de Campos e Augusto de Campos, sem deixar de percorrer os cânones dessa teoria literária para a análise de obras impressas e anteriores à ciberliteratura, como Alfredo Bosi, Antônio Candido e Marisa Lajolo- que navega entre o impresso e o digital-, entre outros. A descoberta de que a criação, a invenção e a interatividade são motes das obras poéticas literárias, esperamos, possa incentivar o trabalho de professores em suas análises também inventivas, criativas e interativas em suas aulas de literatura brasileira, incentivando seus alunos a perscrutarem os caminhos das redes sociais não apenas em busca de entretenimento, mas também de estudo em blogues, revistas e sites literários

O estudo objetiva mostrar como diferentes linguagens literárias se aproximam e também divergem em muitos aspectos, mas ao final ajudam a cunhar novas modalidades de composição, de difusão e de apropriação do escrito na era digital, a partir da ação de um leitor que se modifica ao navegar nos caminhos bifurcáveis da literatura eletrônica. As origens do livro impresso e as mudanças nos processos de leitura, marcadas por transformações e rupturas nas relações dos leitores com os diversos suportes de textos literários, são personagens centrais deste trabalho. O intuito é demonstrar o quanto o homem acumulou de hábitos e experiências que não se anularam, mas antes consolidam novos processos de leitura e perfis de leitores que estão emergindo com a hipertextualidade digital. / The purpose of this work is to establish a dialogue among three different types of books and/or literary texts plataforms by proposing a discussion about the reading process and the reader's presence in If on a winter’s night a traveler, by Italo Calvino; Griffin & Sabine, by Nick Bantock and the hyperfiction Victory Garden, by Stuart Moulthrop. This work intents to show how different literary languages are similar and also differ one from the other in many aspects, but eventually help to build up new forms of composition, dissemination and ownership of writing in the digital age, starting with the action of a reader who changes when navigating the outbranching paths of electronic literature. The origins of the printed book and the changes in the reading process, marked by changes and disruptions in relationships among readers and the different plataforms for literary texts are key characters in this work. The objective is to demonstrate that the acquired habits and experiences man has accumulated have not been invalidated but rather they consolidate new reading processes and reader profiles that are emerging with the digital hypertextuality.

From this passage book to site, we can evidence that Angela Lago writer trod the way of the intertextuality, the visual and verbal overlapping, hypertext, a way that certainly would take it and it took it to the site. A site, as much others, where we can find image, sound, movement, and tridimensionality form, but this is what we can also find in her books, books with pictures/color/movement, words/sound. Showing the non-linear or multilinear form in the books, and the linear form on the site. For this dissertation we use the books: O Fio do Riso, and Chiquita Bacana e outras pequetitas. / Tendo como objetivo inicial desvendar a literatura na internet, percorremos o caminho da descoberta através das obras de Angela Lago, livros e site. A partir deste percurso livro-site, podemos constatar que Angela Lago escritora trilhava o caminho da intertextualidade, da sobreposição visual e verbal, do hipertexto, um percurso que certamente a levaria e a levou ao site. Um site, como tantos outros, onde podemos encontrar a imagem, o som, o movimento, e a tridimensionalidade, mas esta que também encontramos em seus livros, livros com imagens/cor/movimento, palavras/som. Mostrando desta forma a alinearidade dos livros, ou linearidades múltiplas, e linearidade do site. Para esta dissertação nos utilizamos dos livros: O Fio do Riso e Chiquita Bacana e outras pequetitas.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Luis Claudio Costa Fajardo.pdf: 2133826 bytes, checksum: 2ce40e62f84603c57f9022d492da0d44 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-04-23 / The project of dissertation Le Livre and the Sintext : The simulation of Mallarmé s dream through the digital poetics of Pedro Barbosa intends to evidence the connection between these two works, apart in time line but very intimate considering their poetic ideals: the unfinished Mallarmé s work Le Livre , ideated on XIX century and the digital text synthesizer, Sintext , anthological cyberliterary project, conceived by Pedro Barbosa and Manuel Torres in 2001. Mallarmé s masterpiece, the poem Dice Thrown Never Will Annul Chance , is probably the closest poetic experience of the Livre . This poem is, first of all, a poetic process, which the verses, distant one from the other and printed in various typefaces lead to a not lineal and limitless reading that offers the reader many entries and exits. The research approaches, at first, the development of cyber literature from hypertext s paradigm by going trough the multimedia digital poetics, the ergodic literature until focusing literary occurrences generated from a computer: the digital poetry, the generative literature and the hyperfiction, according to Pedro Barbosa´s proposal. In this trajectory, authors like Jay David Bolter, George Landow, Jacques Derrida. Levi Manovich, Lúcia Santaella, Giselle Bielguelman, Janet Murray, Aspen Arseth,Pedro Barbosa, Chris Funkenhouser, Rui Torres e Jorge Luiz Antônio are related. The dissertation proceeds with a presentation of the French poet s poetic work, and it proposes a comparison between the Sintext and the Livre , by coming into view the coincident points between these works, with the support of the work of the authors Maurice Blanchot , Jacques Scherer, Arlindo Machado, Octavio Paz, beside the others before mentioned. The climax of the project is a poetic experimentation in a digital medium wich Mallarmé s poem Dice Thrown Never Will Annul Chance is submitted to a text engine similar to the Sintext . The process is put into practice by a combinatorial operation with the verses of poem; it will enable innumerable possibilities of re-combining the verses, amplifying the meaning of the work and playing, by the digital poetics, the multiple and infinite book once conceived by Mallarmé / O projeto de dissertação, Le Livre e o Sintext : A simulação do sonho de Mallarmé através da Poética Digital de Pedro Barbosa, pretende evidenciar a relação existente entre duas obras distantes no tempo, porém íntimas em seus ideais poéticos: a obra inacabada de Mallarmé conhecida como Le Livre , idealizada no século XIX e o sintetizador de textos em meio digital, o Sintext , projeto antológico da ciberliteratura, concebida por Pedro Barbosa e José Manuel Torres em 2001. Acredita-se que o poema, Um lance de dados , obra-prima de Mallarmé, tenha sido a experiência poética mais próxima do Livre . Tal poema é, antes de tudo, um processo poético, em que os versos, distantes uns dos outros e impressos com diversos estilos tipográficos, sugerem uma leitura não-linear e infinita, permitindo várias entradas e saídas para o leitor. Portanto, a pesquisa aborda inicialmente a evolução da ciberliteratura, a partir do paradigma do hipertexto, passando pelas poéticas digitais cíbridas, a literatura ergódica, até enfocar as manifestações literárias geradas por computador: a poesia digital, a literatura generativa e a hiperficção, conforme tipologia proposta por Pedro Barbosa. Neste percurso, são citados autores como Jay David Bolter, George Landow, Jacques Derrida, Lev Manovich, Lúcia Santaella, Giselle Bielguelman, Janet Murray, Aspen Arseth, Pedro Barbosa, Chris Funkenhouser, Rui Torres e Jorge Luiz Antônio. A dissertação prossegue através de uma apresentação da obra poética do poeta francês, e propõe uma análise comparativa entre os pontos coincidentes entre o Sintext e o Livre . Neste contexto foram destacados comentários dos autores Maurice Blanchot, Jacques Scherer, Arlindo Machado, Octavio Paz, além de outros autores já citados. O projeto culmina com uma experimentação poética em meio digital, na qual o poema Um lance de dados de Mallarmé será submetido a um motor textual semelhante ao Sintext. O processo realizado através de uma operação combinatória com os versos do poema, permitirá infinitas possibilidades recombinantes de tais versos, ampliando o sentido da obra e, simulando através das poéticas digitais, o livro, múltiplo e infinito, um dia idealizado por Mallarmé
