Porovnanie českého a slovenského trhu práce v rokoch 1993 – 2016 / Comparison of the Czech and Slovak labor market between 1993 and 2016Stankovič, František January 2017 (has links)
The labor market has overtaken huge changes in the Czech republic and Slovakia in the last quarter of a century. This diploma theses explains that the structure of the labor market is a dynamic concept that reacts not only to local economic factors, but also to changes in the European and world context. Czech and Slovak labor market has currently different regional disparities. In Slovakia, the problem of regional disparities and the significant polarization of the east and west of the country is much more urgent and significantly affects not only overall unemployment in the Slovak Republic but also the political and economic situation. This diploma thesis analyzes the origins of regional disparities and major changes in the labor market that have taken place in both countries since 1993 until present, and defines that the main cause is mono-industrialization in the second half of the 20th century.

Hospodářský vývoj Argentiny za vlády J.D. Peróna 1946 - 1955 / Economic development in Argentina during the government od J.D.Perón 1946 - 1955Holas, Petr January 2008 (has links)
This thesis deals with the period of nearly ten years of the first governance period of Juan Domingo Perón. In this era were established bases of peronist movement, whose legacy is presented in Argentine politics till these days. This period represents a fundamental turning point in Argentine history, both from the politic and socio-economic points of view. The thesis is divided into four major chapters. The first one outlines the status of Argentine society and the economy in the context of the international situation before Perón became Argentine president. Another three chapters deal directly with the period of Perón's government. The first one deals with three fundaments of peronist economic policy of initial period, which included economic nationalism and etatism, industrialization and especially massive redistribution policy. The second chapter analyses the socio-economic aspects of peronist constitutional reform of 1949, economic development at the end of Perón's first presidency and development in the agricultural sector during his first presidency. Final chapter examines changes in economic policy during the second Perón's presidency and causes of his deposition.

Protekcionismus latinskoamerických zemí v době hospodářské krize / Protecionism of Latin American Countries in the Time of an Economic CrisisKurečková, Anna January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the change in response of Latin American governments to the economic crisis and thus the change in the character of protectionist measures applied. How do the means of the protection of domestic market change? How does the financial globalization reflect in the Latin American protectionism? What are the further perspectives of the development of Latin American countries? The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter examines the forms of protectionism in the reaction to economic crisis of the 20th century. Firstly, it presents Latin America as a traditionally protectionist region in the period of the import substitution industrialization, secondly it focuses on governments' reactions to the cyclic crises of the 80s and 90s that were caused by the liberalization of the capital accounts and high sensitivity of Latin American economies to the sudden stop on financial markets. The second chapter is devoted to the current global economic crisis. It analyses the means of trade and financial protectionism. Simultaneously, it compares the protectionist measures used to the ones employed in previous periods. The final part of the thesis explores further perspectives of Latin American regionalism and improved macroeconomic stability of Latin American economies.

The Economic Rationale for Industrial Policy in Developing Countries / Ekonomická racionalizácia pre industriálnu politiku v rozvojových krajináchŠkropeková, Andrea January 2012 (has links)
The role of the government in an industrialization process of developing countries is highly debated. The opinions of scholars diverge. Proponents of extensive government involvement claim that it is a key to sustainable development, while opponents see it as an obstacle to it. The goal of my thesis is to analyze what consequences has had the reduction in the weight of the State in economies of developing countries, especially in Kenya. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first one talks about an evolution of industrial policies in the developing countries. Since the end of colonialism, import substitution had become a dominant pro development strategy in most developing countries, but in 1980s it was substituted by the structural adjustment programmes (SAPs). Those two sets of development strategies are described and assessed in this part. The second part of the thesis is a case study of Kenya. In this part I describe and assess industrialization policies of Kenyan government, analyze a change of its economic freedom since an adoption of SAPs and an influence of an increase in economic freedom on industrialization and social welfare.

This work verifies how the economic literature has been working on the supposed Brazilian deindustrialization phenomenon, analyzing its compatibility with the evolutionary approach to economics, understood as a bridge that links Neoschumpeterian and Neoinstitutionalist theories (the latter retrieving Original Institutionalism from early twentieth century). The pursue of a consistent theorization of (de)industrialization and economic evolution stresses that transformations like (de)industrialization must be treated as processes of structural change built from the complex interaction between micro and macro environments of an economy. A new approach is suggested in order to present more useful diagnostics and to guide policy making in the matter of such transformations.

Viabilidade econômica da exploração de palmito Euterpe edulis Mart. no bioma Mata Atlântica, Vale do Paraíba - SP / Economic viability of palm heart Euterpe edulis Mart. explotation in the bioma Atlantic Forest, Vale do Paraíba-SPFernando Cembraneli 06 March 2008 (has links)
The exploitation of the palm heart of juçara (Euterpe edulis Mart.) has been mostly illegally, resulting in the reduction of its supply. The objective of this work is to study of the productive chain of E. edulis explored in sustainable management in the Farm União, São Luiz do Paraitinga-SP, in order to construct an ARPP (Rural Agro-industry of Small Capacity). Were analyzed the data from a forest inventory of the Farm União and data supplied from Donana Industry - SP, ARPP Garuva - SC, IBGE and Embrapa. The area presents on average 394 juçara/ha available for cut. The ARPP will have to produce 48 ton per year of palm heart. For a commercial exploitation of juçara, a cycle of cut of 6 years has to be followed. As a consequence, the area will be divided in six plots of 49,1 ha, with one plot cut per year, resulting in the production of 6 ton per year. However, this is not enough for the ARPP to sustain itself. The results obtained suggested the plantation of another producing species of palm heart, e.g. pupunha (Bactris gasipaes) and the exploration of the pulp of the fruit of juçara, obeying the annual sazonality. The pupunha will be cut by 6 months, later the fruits and the palmito of juçara will be explored. The financial analyses of the first year show a net income of R$ 339,410.25, which is attractive for agriculturists of the region.

Previous issue date: 2016-12-20 / Intention of this work is answering the initial question about the possibility to reconcile the factors: industrialization, environment and consumption to meet the needs of current society with the economic exploitation of the environment in face of the demands of contemporary society regarding consumption. Through of deductive method and by theorical research we intend to verify bibliographic under the focus of the legislation, with the analysis of the National Politics of the Environment, the Consumer Defense Code, and the article 170 and sections of the Federal Constitution of 1988; in addition to specific legislation, if there is the possibility of harmonious coexistence of such factors, responding at the end, the initial question, assuming that the initial consumption demands of contemporary society dictate the pace for industrial production by moving all the production processes that the end will impact on the environment.

L'engagement actionnarial : de l'industrialisation de l'actionnariat à l'expression de nouvelles responsabilités / Shareholder engagement : from the industrialization of shareholding to the expression of new responsibilitiesBelinga, Rachelle 12 December 2018 (has links)
Ten years after the financial crisis of 2008, shareholder engagement appears as an important tool for corporate governance and corporate accountability. Yet, the theoretical foundations of these new expectations toward shareholders, and especially toward institutional investors, are still fragile. What is required of shareholders? Is shareholder engagement another way of empowering shareholders? Is this new shareholder role legitimate with regard to, notably, the interests of other stakeholders ? The aim of this thesis was thus to understand the foundations, the stakes and the theoretical and empirical implications of shareholder engagement. The thesis starts then by questioning the classical representation of shareholders in corporate governance theories. It shows how a phenomenon of industrialization of shareholder has renewed the stakes of corporate governance, that shifts toward “shareholding governance”. The doctrine of shareholder engagement hence contributes to build a shareholding governance, but whose current phrasing still lacks of a representation of the responsibility shareholders hold toward the firm, its stakeholders and its resources. Consequently, the thesis carries out an empirical exploration of engagement practices, notably shareholder voting policies, that helps identifying principles of responsible engagement for an industrialized shareholding.

The Economic Development of the Texas PanhandleBarton, Jerry T. 08 1900 (has links)
"From the time the first settlers arrived in any region to the present time, numerous changes in their economic life occurred. In the thirty-eight counties of the Texas Panhandle and upper plains, these changes have occurred in rapid order; for in only the past seventy-five years (1875-1950), this region has progressed from one of buffalo hunters to businessmen, through intervening stages of cowboys, "nesters," farmers, and "dust eaters." The purpose of this study is to evaluate each step, thereby enabling the reader to gain a general knowledge as to what the economic situation in the panhandle is based upon today. The area to be studied is composed of the seven northern tiers of counties in the Panhandle and upper plains of Texas. These seven tiers contain thirty-eight counties with an approximate are of 23,491,840 acres. The western part of the Panhandle is located on the Great Plains, or High Plains, while about a third of the area is situated in the North Central Plains. " -- leaf 1.
