Reakční doba u sportovních koní. / Reaction time of sports horses.KERNEROVÁ, Nina January 2008 (has links)
In this thesis were charted information and methodology about reaction time of horses on optical stimulus. As an optical stimulus was used vehement and unforseen movement by white board (500 x 500 mm) on which horses reacted very well. Reaction scanning was made by high-speed video camera MotionScope 9400, which was connected to a computer. In total was evaluated group of 35 horses. The average age was 5.8 years, the average reaction time on optical stimulus was 152 ms. In experiment was group of 14 thoroughbreds and 21 warmbloods. Group contained 4 stallions, 17 geldings and 14 mares. The largest group was represented by 5 years old (10 representatives). By the thoroughbreds was found out reaction time 154 ms, by the warmblood group 150 ms. Differences between breeds were not statistically significant. The lowest average reaction time was measured out by stallions (139 ms), then mares (149 ms) and the highest rate was by geldings (157 ms). The difference between reaction time of geldings and mares was not statistically significant. The lowest rate was measured out by the age group from 2 to 4 years old (142 ms), then group of 6 to 13 years old (156 ms). The highest rate had group of 5 years old (159 ms). The differences between age groups were not upholded as statistically significant. The correlation coefficient expressing relation between age of horses and reaction time on the optical stimulus was found out very low, that means that it is not statistically significant. In this thesis was proved, that as well as humans, horses react more quickly on acoustic stimulus than on optical stimulus.

The thesis analyses the influence of reimbursement regulatory fee for hospitalization which was introduced in regional hospitals in 2009 in Czech Republic. The difference in differences analysis was used to study the possible relationship between reimbursement of the fee for length of hospitalization in acute care hospitals and in after-care facilities. In acute care the influence was 0,5-1 % of the length and in after-care facilities between 8-12 %. This relationship may be biased because of introduction of DRG system which may decrease the length of stay and may be differently distributed between the treatment and control groups.

Nálezy skla doby římské v Čechách / Glass Finds of the Roman Period in BohemiaKacl, Pavel January 2012 (has links)
The thesis is focused on the finds of glass and faience which are to be found in the form of beads and pendants, vessels, inlays, game pieces, bracelets and a "window" in the bottom of a ceramic urn. The most common are glass and faience beads. Their occurrence increases in the Late Roman Period substantially when new ornament styles come into being as well. Because of the predominant cremation rite, the knowledge is limited for the poor condition as a large amount of glass artefacts was deformed. In view of the fact that the majority of the beads originates from the classical antiquity world, they represent a vast number of imported goods, which may have been traded in Barbaricum as well. The long necklaces reflect obviously the higher social status of buried women. Nevertheless, the same statement cannot be considered to be applicable for lower numbers of beads in graves. Even some male graves with beads are known. The elite milieus are indicated also by the glass vessels, rather rare in the Roman Period Bohemia, the inlays on brooches or rings, as well as the game pieces. The Roman glass bracelets represent a rare sort of artefacts in Barbaricum. It is also possible to encounter some residues of the Iron Age glass, mostly on the settlements. Keywords glass - faience - Roman Period - imports - Bohemia
