Zdravotně-sociální následky dopravních nehod / Health and social consequences of traffic accidents

The objective of the thesis is to collect and analyze a set of persons injured in road traffic accidents in 2009 in České Budějovice district and to describe the health and social consequences of accidents, in particular extents of injuries, paid sick days, the time of treatment and permanent accidental disability. Based on the objective the following hypothesis was stated: "Traffic accidents have serious health and social consequences". The research was conducted by using the secondary data analysis method with the use of medial records of the traumatology department patients of České Budějovice Hospital, Inc. A part of the research was a questionnaire containing questions, aiming at the confirmation or rejection of the stated hypothesis, on the basis of which it was possible to categorize persons injured in traffic accidents, to determine whether the injuries have left a permanent accidental disability, and if so, which, and whether the injured person has received a disability pension. The examined set included 52 patients hospitalized at the traumatology department of České Budějovice Hospital, Inc. with injuries sustained in traffic accidents, who filled in the questionnaires, form the original number of hundred patients with the longest period of hospitalization and therefore the heaviest anticipated consequences, who were sent the questionnaires. The following numbers and percentages mentioned are always related to individual age categories. In the age category under 20 years of age 1 men, i.e. 4% of men, and 2 women, i.e.15% of women got a permanent disability, in the category 21-35 years of age 12 men, i.e. 43% of men and 6 women, i.e. 46% of women got a permanent disability, in the category 36-50 years of age only 7 men, i.e. 25% of men and no woman got a permanent disability, in the category over 50 years of age 8 men, i.e. 29% of men and 5 women, i.e. 38% of women got a permanent disability. In the age category under 20 years of age there were no men who receive a disability pension, only 1 female, i.e. 14% of women in the category 21-35 years of age 4 men, i.e. 27% of men and 3 women, i.e. 43% women receive a disability pension, in the category 36-50 years of age only 6 men, i.e. 40% of men got a disability pension, and no women, in the category above 50 years of age 5 men, i.e. 33% of men and 3 women, i.e. 43% of women got a disability pension. The objective of the diploma thesis to collect and analyze a set of persons injured in traffic accidents in České Budějovice district in the year 2009 was met through the carried out research. Based on the findings, it may be stated that the hypothesis: "Traffic accidents have serious health and social consequences? was confirmed.

The thesis ``Causes of Accident Occurrence in Transporting Dangerous Substances{\crq}q is aimed at the topic of road accidents in transport of dangerous substances, which is one of its inseparable parts on which extra stress is placed and cannot be classified as common transport. Road transport of dangerous substances is subject to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR). Although the safety of road transport of dangerous goods is broadly secured in the sense of ADR there are still numerous factors affecting the transport course itself, which may lead to a road accident. Road accidents of vehicles transporting dangerous goods often involve leaks of dangerous substances and subsequent threat to human lives and health, damage on environment and property. This is why transport of dangerous substances definitely belongs to activities with higher risk rate. The fact that the time and place of accident occurrence cannot be determined in advance even escalates the danger. The thesis is aimed at surveying the situation in the field of causes of accident occurrence in transporting dangerous substances, discovering the level of awareness of the problems of dangerous substance transport and the causes of road accidents among traffic participants and proposing concrete preventive measures. Quantitative research was performed to gain information necessary to confirm my hypotheses. Secondary analysis of the data from the Police of the Czech Republic archives was used as the method for confirmation of hypotheses. A questionnaire survey was used for determination of the level of awareness among traffic participants. The hypotheses set in the thesis, that the causes of accident occurrence in transporting dangerous substances have direct influence on accident frequency and common road traffic participants do not have sufficient knowledge of the problems of dangerous substance transport have been confirmed.

The main objective of my thesis was to project a design of a concrete chosen section of the cycling trail in the vicinity of the village of Kamenný Újezd, which is located in Southern Bohemia, south-west of České Budějovice. I propose two alternative cycling trails in accordance with the applicable standards, laws and technical conditions. A better alternative in terms of transport, economy, ecology and aesthetics, I elaborated to the phase of documentation for the notification of the construction of road according to Decree 104/1997 Sb.. In the project, I propose a direction solution, vertical solutions, width layout, road construction, earthworks, drainage, equipment and traffic signs. I analyzed property relations in the proposed cycling route and existing bicycle trails in the given locality. I suggested a cycling communication, which is multifunctional, therefore not only used by cyclists but also pedestrians, in-line skaters, and when appropriate, for occasional agricultural transport.

It includes an analysis of the current state legislative requirements for obtaining professional qualifications of drivers, health qualification and improves their professional competence for the purposes of professional competence and analysis of selected specific road safety. In light of the findings was performed the analysis of traffic accidents in the Czech Republic. Based on the analysis of traffic accidents was the practical part of a questionnaire survey and proposals aimed at improving safety on the roads.

This diploma thesis deals with state aid and financing of transport infrastructure under the EU law. The main aim of the thesis is to answer the question, whether the financing of transport infrastructure is a state aid and if it so, would it be compatible with the internal market. Member States have to ask these questions while they are deciding whether they should use public funds for specific infrastructural project in transportation industry. The thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first part author is focused on airport transportation industry, which has been liberalized since early 90's of 20th century. Thanks to the market opening the completion came in and Commission started to control financing of airport infrastructures. Airports were no longer recognized as an infrastructural facilities and their operators were found as an undertaking in the sense of competition judicature. That is why the first chapter is dealing with the historical excursus of state aid law in the field of aviation infrastructure. The author describes the fundamental decisions of Commission and the Court of Justice of the European Union; a great focus is placed on analysis of the decision on the Leipzig- Halle case. Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows is a hard optimization problem. Even though it has numerous practical applications, the question of solving it efficiently has not been satisfyingly solved yet. This thesis studies the Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows and presents several new algorithms for solving it. There are two heuristics presented here, as well as several more complex algorithms which use those heuristics as their components. The efficiency of presented techniques is evaluated experimentally using a set of test samples. As a part of this thesis, I have also developed a desktop application which implements presented algorithms and provides a few additional features useful for solving routing prob-lems in practice. Among others, there is a generator of pseudo-random problem instances and several visualization methods.

The purpose of the thesis is to check the suitability of setting a demand responsive transport system in the Králíky region from the transport and economic point of view. The analytical part describes existing demand responsive transport systems in the Czech Republic and in Europe and their compliance with the Czech legislation. The practical part applies this knowledge on design of a concept of demand responsive transport in Králíky region including the operational cost calculation.
