Využití portfolia v dramatické výchově / Usage of portfolios in drama classes

Kozlová, Jana January 2013 (has links)
I divided my thesis "The usage of portfolios in drama classes " into two parts. The first part of my thesis is theoretical and it deals with different types of portfolios and rates the usage of them in different drama classes. I tried to see the portfolios from the user's point of view. The whole collection of portfolios is a valuable tool that reflects the personality and social development of my students. It allows the observation of a student's attitude and value development. The list of methods and techniques can be found in my thesis, and can be used to plan lessons with the planned portfolio's output. The second part of my thesis shows illustrations of practical drama class lessons and the worksheets that can be used as a basis for future portfolios. The lesson samples contain methods, and information about the realization and reflection of the lessons as well. My thesis contains samples from the children enriched with worksheet evaluations.

Serious play : exploring literacies and masculinities within drama companies for young adults

Bogard, Treavor Lowell 07 January 2011 (has links)
This multi-site case study examines literacy practices across four theatre companies for young adults. The study draws upon ethnographic methods including interviews, field notes, and video data to show how composing practices situated with acts of design fostered multiple entry points through text, a multimodal stance when reading, collaboration, play, shared response, and sustained engagement in the orchestration of available modalities in the creation of characters. Drawing upon theories of multimodality, play, and masculinities, the study links literacy practices in drama with the configuration of historically subordinated, non-normative masculinities, including self-identified gay youth. These young men reported excessive self-monitoring and identity management strategies within heteronormative school contexts, but took-up a plurality of masculinities as they engaged design practices that encouraged play, risk-taking, and the appropriation of available media in their design of characters. The study cultivates an awareness of how literacy practices in drama intersected with affirming construction of non-normative gendered and sexual identities typically subordinated in school settings, but that were reportedly more aligned with informants’ sense of self. The study draws implications for how educators may help young people critique structures of heternormativity and hegemonic masculinities that often limit the identities and masculinities available in school. In addition, the study draws implications for classroom practice in the language arts that position youth as designers of multimodal texts that allow for multiple representations of the self. / text

The strategy teacher-in-role is the core of the investigation and here is approached through two different pedagogical procedures: in role stands for the situations where the teacher takes on a social function as a partner of the students within the process; in character stands for the situations where the teacher takes on a character and keeps his/her discourse and attitudes in order to challenge the students points of view. This approach brings the role of the teacher closer to the role of the actor, and opens doors both to the participants acquisition of the theatrical language and to the teacher performance as co-artist within the teaching and learning processes / Esta pesquisa é sobre a metodologia do drama associada ao ensino do teatro na escola.
