Stavba v krajině - Winery / Architecture in landscape - Winery

Klimešová, Naďa January 2009 (has links)
What’s a building in the landscape like? It’s not indifferent. It uses but doesn’t abuse. It doesn’t compete. It is not indifferent The theme of the project is the road – as progress, as an element of composition. It starts among the vineyards and ends with a view of the hills of Pálava, the dominant feature of the landscape. In the middle, the road is enclosed by houses and passes through a large frame which creates a picture of the landscape that changes with time. Henceforth, the building is not just a building; it is also a frame through which we see an endless number of pictures. It uses but doesn’t abuse The buildings of the winery and of the wine research institute are designed according to the principles of sustainability and are as environmentally friendly as possible. Built with wooden panels on a barren plot of land, they make use of waste water. Does not compete The buildings are located amid the vineyards with a view of the Pálava hills. From the distance, they appear to blend with the landscape thanks to the climbing vines on the outside walls.

Kánon zelené literatury? Co, jak a proč čtou "pestří a zelení". / A green canon? What, how and why "the colourful and the green" read.

Dosoudilová, Anna January 2013 (has links)
The thesis is based on questionnaire survey conducted among 136 so called "green and colourful" respondents. The term "the colourful and the green" comes from the professor of environmental sociology, Hana Librová, and refers to people living the ecologically beneficial lifestyle that can be characterized by voluntary or intentional modesty. The target of the survey was to find out whether these people are influenced in their lifestyle by books or which books would articulate their worldview the best; what books they resonate with. Often repeated titles formed a "green influential literary canon" that is further analyzed in the thesis. First, the canon as a whole is examined, second the three most frequent books are studied with an ecocritical approach. In the canon, a minimum titles from the field of deep ecology, nature writing as well as science fiction or utopia were registered. Despite the expectation, there were many books related to New Age movement in the canon as well as pop-cultural spiritual writings. Nevertheless, books concerning native americans, together with eco- philosophical works largely dominated. Functions that the publications fulfill for the readers are seen as a clamp of diverse books in the canon. There are three main functions defined and further explained:...

Daňové, poplatkové a jiné obdobné nástroje ochrany životního prostředí / Tax, charges and other similar tools for the protection of the environment

Hlúbiková, Helena January 2011 (has links)
1 Taxes, charges and other similar instruments for the environmental protection The reason why I chose this theme is that the environmental protection from the perspective of financial law is a very topical issue in all EU countries, including the Czech Republic. The purpose of my thesis is to analyse instruments that are utilized for environmental protection. The thesis deals with direct and indirect regulatory instruments and the increased attention is paid to the energy taxes. The thesis is composed of five basic chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of the environmental protection from the perspective of financial law. Chapter One and Two is introductory and defines basic terminology used in the thesis such as the environment and environmental protection or environmental policy. Chapter Three deals with the basic structure of instruments for environmental protection, which are instruments of direct regulation (normative) and indirect regulatory instruments (economic). This chapter also describes the characteristics of these instruments and their advantages and disadvantages. Chapter Four concentrates on economic instruments - environmentally related charges and especially environmentally related taxes. This chapter deals with the term of environmental taxes, their characteristics and...

Výzkum ekologické validity kognitivního trénování / Ecological validity of cognitive training research

Bláhová, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
This Master thesis is focused on ecological validity of a cognitive training in university students. Forty-five students participated in three months research during which 30 of them took regular personalized cognitive training using CogniFit programme on their computers. The study examines the impact of the cogntitive training on everyday cognitive functioning of students. The scientific methods used for the ecological validity research were the following self-reporting questionnaires: Cognititive Failure Questionnaire, Everyday Memory Questionnaire and Dysexecutive Questinnaire. Students also filled in Schwartz Outcome Scale - 10 and Self-image questionnaire for detailed exploration of more variables. For the research, we applied test-retest design and used control group of fifteen students for results comparison. Analysis of the gathered data proved little evidence of ecological validity of cognitive training, which can be attributed to considerable cognitive stress at students. An unexpected outcome of the study which proved to be very significant is relation between executive functions and well-being of a student. This relation was confirmed repeatedly. Possible improvements of methodology and also problem with randomization of students is discussed. Proposal for the further development of...

Právní odpovědnost za ekologickou újmu / Liability for ecological harm

Nováková, Alexandra January 2013 (has links)
! This thesis discusses the issue of liability for environmental damages, which includes (i) public-law liability (in Czech legal framework described as "environmental injury") and (ii) private-law liability. The Act on Environmental Damage transposed the Directive on Environmental Liability (the "Directive"), the aim of which is prevention and remedy of environmental damage. The Act on Environmental Damage is legally binding from August 17, 2008, as lex specialis to the Act on Environment and other Acts on respective environmental components. Although the Act on Environmental Damage is based on the public-law approach, the private-law liability remains unaffected. According to the Act on Environmental Damage, the strict liability is imposed on operators of certain high-risk occupational activities and these operators are obliged to implement preventive and remedial measures and bear associated costs. Furthermore, the operators must provide relevant information on the request of competent public authorities.
