Fluconazole (FLZ) is a triazole antifungal drug used in the treatment and prevention of superficial and systemic fungal infections. It is also used to prevent and treat meningitis. Cocrystallization is an alternative approach for enhancement of drug. It can be performed using neat grinding, solvent assisted grinding, solvent evaporation, cooling evaporation and slurry cocrystallization. In this work, a new cocrystal Fluconazol-Fumaric acid monohydrate was synthesized via 1:1 stoichiometric amount of FLZ and FUM at different conditions. The characterization of the synthesized cocrystals was achieved using Raman spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, powder X-ray diffraction and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The results obtained for the characterization of the samples showed some obvious differences among the spectra, diffractograms and thermograms. The single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis of the new structure shows a cocrystal where the fluconazole molecules are attached to the fumaric acid and water molecules respectively through hydrogen bonds, gave unique cell dimensions for an assumed structure C17H18F2N6O6 with a space group of P21/n, a = 17.053(3) Å, b = 5.5995(10), c=21.154(3), α = 90°, β=105.418(4)°, γ= 90°, V = 1947.3(6) Å3. This work is the first to report a monohydrate cocrystal structure of fluconazole and fumaric acid. / Cocristais farmacêuticos são sólidos cristalinos multi-componentes compostos de um ingrediente ativo farmacêutico (API) e um ou mais co-formadores interagindo através de ligações de hidrogênio ou outras interações fracas como as π-stack e Van der Waals. Fluconazol (FLZ), é um fármaco anti-fúngico triazol utilizado no tratamento e prevenção de infecções fúngicas superficiais e sistémicas. É também utilizado para prevenir e tratar a meningite. Cocristalização é uma abordagem alternativa para melhorar as propriedades de fármacos. Pode ser realizada através de moagem a seco, moagem assistida por solvente, evaporação de solvente e cristalização em suspensão. Neste trabalho, um novo co-cristal Fluconazol-Ácido Fumarico monohidrato foi sintetizado utilizando uma estequimetria 1:1 em diferentes condições. A caracterização dos co-cristais sintetizados foi realizada utilizando espectroscopia Raman, calorimetria exploratória diferencial, difração de raios-X em pó é por monocristal. Os resultados obtidos para a caracterização das amostras mostrou algumas diferenças obvias entre os espectros, difratogramas e termogramas. A difração de raios-X de monocristal mostrou uma nova estrutura onde as moléculas de fluconazol estão ligadas ao ácido fumárico e a uma molécula de água através de ligações de hidrogênio, originando uma estrutura única C17H18F2N6O6 de grupo espacial P21/n e dimensões da célula unitária a = 17.053(3) Å, b = 5.5995(10), c=21.154(3), α = 90°, β=105.418(4)°, γ= 90°, V = 1947.3(6) Å3. Este trabalho é o primeiro a relatar uma estrutura de co-cristal mono-hidrato de fluconazol e acido fumárico.

Economic Viability Of International Airline Operations From India

Route planning forms an important aspect of airline operations for them to sustain the effects of deregulation and fierce competition. The Indian economic liberalization in 1991 has seen diminishing monopoly of Air India and dynamic demand splits amongst the service providers. Our research focuses on developing an aggregate route traffic demand forecasting (RTDF) model specifically for international carriers operating from India. The model is an econometric model that combines concepts of the traditional Gravity model of Physics and the Micro-economic theoretic model that links demand to price. In other words, the RTDF model is a fusion of the behavioral and gravity models. While developing the model, Becker’s approach of utility maximization has been made use of, thereby combining time and other inputs required to produce travel. The model is developed for the existing international routes from India with 2005 aggregative data provided by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which spanned 15 countries in Europe, Asia, Canada, and North America. The model has been validated and tested for its predictive power on a few intentionally left out routes from the original sample. The model explains about 70% of the variance, which is well above the acceptable zone for cross-sectional data. The model is then estimated for 2007 data on a few randomly selected high demand routes; the prediction error ranging from a minimum of 3.5% to a maximum of 13%, a range well within the acceptable error limits. We derive a sector-cost-model (SCM) by applying the concept of break-even analysis on the RTDF model. The SCM provides cost estimates on a particular route at various levels of airfare. The SCM helps us gain further insights into the business nature prevailing in the airline sector. On the viability of operations, we propose the sector-operation-fare (SOF) to be charged on a respective route, given the load factor, if the airline wishes to continue operations. For arriving at the SOF, we follow a demand oriented framework that comprises of two demand curves: the airline curve and the traffic curve. The numerical analyses provide room for policy formulations that help airlines in refining, redefining, and revitalizing the decision-making process in their operations. Airlines can use this model to forecast demand for a newly contemplated route and obtain a fair idea of the price they can charge the customer. In other words, airlines can estimate the economic viability of operations on a respective route.

Prieš rengiant kelių investicinius projektus surenkami ir detaliai analizuojami esami kelių eksploatacinių rodiklių duomenys ir jų reglamentuotų norminių reikšmių atitiktis. Baigiamajame darbe išanalizuoti automobilių kelių asfaltbetonio dangos būklės, patikimumo bei šių rodiklių gavimo ir apdorojimo metodai. Pateikiamas automobilių kelių asfaltbetonio dangos reikiamų eksploatacinių rodiklių teorinis pagrindimas, reglamentuotos norminės reikšmės bei eksploatacinių rodiklių gerinimo svarba. Naudojantis tyrimų, atliktų Lietuvos svarbiausiuose magistraliniuose keliuose A1 Vilnius – Kaunas - Klaipėda ir A5 Kaunas – Marijampolė - Suvalkai, duomenimis, atlikta pagrindinių eksploatacinių rodiklių - dangos lygumo, rato su danga sukibimo koeficiento, dangos suirimo masto rodiklio, konstrukcijos deformacijos modulio bei provėžų gylio analizė ir šių rodiklių kitimas laiko atžvilgiu. Nustatyta dangos būklę apibūdinančių rodiklių sietis. Analizės pagrindu pateikti rekomenduojami leistinieji dangos lygumo rodikliai. Pateiktos išvados ir rekomendacijos. Baigiamojo darbo aprašomojo skyriaus apimtis – 89 psl., 17 lentelių, 90 paveikslų, 44 bibliografiniai šaltiniai. / Before the preparation of highway investment projects, the available data of highway maintenance indices are collected and analysed and their conformity with the standard values is established. The thesis deals with the analysis of reliability of the condition of highway asphalt concrete pavement and the indices collection and procession methods. The thesis includes the theoretical grounding of the necessary maintenance indices of the highway asphalt concrete pavement, standard values and the importance of improvement of the maintenance indices. Using the data of the testing performed in the main Lithuanian highways A1 Vilnius – Kaunas - Klaipėda and A5 Kaunas – Marijampolė - Suvalkai, the analysis of the basic maintenance indices, i.e. pavement smoothness, wheel adherence coefficient, pavement breakup degree index, construction deformation module and furrow depth, and the change of such indices in the terms of time has been carried out. The link between the indices characterising the condition of the pavement has been determined. Basing on the analysis, the recommended permitted pavement smoothness indices are presented. The conclusions and recommendations of the thesis are introduced. Theses consist of: 89 p. text without appendixes, 90 pictures, 17 tables, 44 bibliographical entries.

Pastarąjį dešimtmetį daugiabučių namų atnaujinimo (modernizavimo) efektyvumas tampa vis aktualesne problema. Apie efektyvumą dažnai kalbama neobjektyviai, atsižvelgiant tik į sumažėjusias šildymo sąskaitas. Taigi visuomenės požiūriu natūraliai kyla klausimas, ar visi atnaujinimo projektai yra ekonomiškai efektyvūs. Šio darbo tikslas – išsamiai susipažinti su daugiabučių namų atnaujinimo procesu Lietuvoje ir, išnagrinėjus jau įgyvendintų atnaujinimo projektų stebėsenos analizių duomenis, nustatyti efektyviausias atnaujinimo priemones ir priemonių derinius. Baigiamąjį darbą sudaro įvadas, trys skyriai ir išvados bei pasiūlymai. Pirmame, literatūros analizės, skyriuje aptariamas Lietuvos ir užsienio šalių daugiabučių namų atnaujinimo aktualumas, atnaujinimo ir jo efektyvumo vertinimo galimybės bei metodai. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Over the last decade, multi-apartment renovation (modernization) is becoming a significant problem. The efficiency is mostly discussed as a reduced heating bills. Naturally the question for the society arises whether all renewal projects are cost – effective. The aim of this work is to discuss economic evaluation indicators, to determine the most effective methods of renewal and method combinations. This work consists of an introduction, three chapters and the conclusions with recommendations. The first section – literature analysis, which analyzes the Lithuanian and foreign counties renovation process and its relevance. The second chapter provides an overview of the renovation situation in Lithuania and its future development. In the third chapter the empirical housing renovation efficiency research is conducted. In first part of research using multicriteria SAW, and TOPSIS COPRAS methods, the most rational way of renewal is determined. In the second part using housing renovation monitoring results of 2009 and 2010 period, the analytical housing renewal study is performed to identify the most effective way of renewal. There is an analyses Lithuanian and Europe Union road safety legislation.The fourth part analyses the methods for calculating losses at accidents and economic evaluation of the road safety measures. The work covers the analysis of the importance of the transportation system in Klaipeda city in the context of global transportation system in Lithuania and EU. It provides with a number of soliutions corresponding to the provisions of White Paper on European Transport policy for 2010 and designed to achieve the sustainability of the existing transportation system. The progressive management of the transportation system invoking strategies and principles of the sustainable policy is proposed as one of the main soliutions for sustainable transportation. The establishment of a unified automatic ticketing system and an innovative transport mode is also proposed for the optimization of the operation of public transport in Klaipeda city. The work includes the research on the formation and the structure of parking places in the central part of Klaipeda city. The action plan and detailed, feasible solutions are proposed for the systematic development of the parking places. Sustainabgle transportation system in Klaipeda city is shaped with a view of creating proper conditions for both society and environment, harmonizing their interaction, and proposing strategy of sustainable transportation system suitable for unique surroundings of the city.

In the work “Research of local stock breakstore purposed for asphalt concrete construction” presents data about hard minerals found and exploited in Lithuania. Minerals used for road building, maintenance and repair are reviewed with a greater focus on minerals used for road building: grit, sand, and dolomite. The paper carries on describing asphalt-concrete coatings and mixtures used for the coatings. The asphalt-concrete mixtures with gravel and dolomite chipping are analyzed. According to their stability, plasticity and porosity (Marshall’s) the usage of mixtures for certain construction class is defined. Is givven a recommendation for using this asphalt concrete mixtures. The major conclusions and the bibliography are presented in the end of the paper.

Baigiamajame magistro darbe nagrinėjami santvarinių konstrukcijų iš kvadratinių vamzdžių tiesioginio jungimo mazgų skaičiavimo ir konstravimo ypatumai. Analizuojama konstrukcinių elementų elgsena mazge ir jos sąlygojamas jungties irties pobūdis. Nagrinėjamos takumo linijos teorijos taikymo galimybės sudarant analitinius modelius. Pateikiami analitiniai modeliai, taikomi mazgų ašinės laikomosios galios skaičiavimo algoritmams sudaryti, pateikiamiems projektavimo norminiuose dokumentuose. Aprašomas mazgą sudarančių konstrukcinių elementų projektavimas pagal STR 2.05.08:2005 ir EN 1993-1-1 reikalavimus, bei mazgų ašinės laikomosios galios nustatymas pagal STR 2.05.08:2005 8-tą priedą, bei EN 1993-1-8. Darbe atlikta skaitinė projektavimo normose pateikiamų santvarinių konstrukcijų tiesioginio jungimo mazgų ašinės laikomosios galios nustatymo lyginamoji analizė. Suprojektuota santvarinė konstrukcija, kurios skaičiuojamoji schema parinkta tokia, kad būtų išanalizuoti visi projektavimo normose pateikiami tiesioginio jungimo mazgų tipai. Įrąžoms konstrukciniuose elementuose nustatyti pasinaudota kompiuterine skaičiavimo programa Staad.pro. Konstrukcinių elementų elgsenos mazge analizei pasinaudota kompiuterine programa CosmosWorks. The posibility to apply the yield line theory for analytical models considered. Analytical models used for determining the design capacity of the joint formulae in design guids presented. Truss members design following STR 2.05.08:2005 and EN 1993-1-1 and joint design capacity calculation following STR 2.05.08:2008 8-th annex and EN 1993-1-8 presented. It was made numerical convergence analysis between diferent design guidilines for estimating design capacity of the joint in this study. Truss structure designed, including all most commonly known joint types. Truss member loiding estimated using structural design and analysis software Staad.Pro. The behaviuor of the joint designed using finite element analysis software Cosmos.Works. Also the influence of governing joint parameters for the design capacity equations analysed. For truss structure design, capacity of the joint calculations and numerical analysis the calculation program was made using Microsoft Office Exel software.

Gaisrų ekspertizių analizė ir jų plėtojimo perspektyvos / Fire investigations analysis and development

The main purpose of the Master paper is to make fire investigations analysis, to find its problems ant find a way to solve them. Also suggest new alternative fire investigation methods. In the first part of my work I studied fire investigation analysis disputed all the methods of fire investigation used in Lithuania. I found and disputed limitations of fire investigation methods and found few solutions for them. I describe new alternative fire investigation methods used abroad. In the second part of my work I have analyzed new fire investigation method- fire dynamic simulator. I Studied principles and use opportunities of FDS- MOKEWIEV and SMARTFIRE programs. In the third part I wrote few concrete examples when these two fire dynamic simulation programs were used. I have also described test computation with SMARTFIRE fire dynamic simulator. I have wrote conclusions and suggested about fire investigation.
