Healt Locus of Control i relation till hälsa : - en studie om motionsvanor, matvanor och självkänsla hos lärarkandidaterHurtig, Agneta January 2006 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Health Locus of Control, Exercise habits, Food habits and Self-esteem (Personal self and Physical self) between two groups of student teachers at a university in the south of Sweden. Is health such as exercise, eating and self-esteem something that is controlled by internal or external factors? Student teachers that participated in Physical and Health programme and student teachers that participeted in other programme were investigeted. The participants (N = 160) answered the questionnaire. The Health Locus of Control scale and Tennessee Self-Concept Scale were used. A form was constructed to measure the students exercise habits and food habits. The study showed differences between the two groups of student teachers concerning Internal HLoC and Exercise habits. A positive tendency concerning Phycial self was also found. The results showed that there were positive correlations between the variables Health Locus of Control, Exercise habits, Food habits, Personal self and Physical self. Negative correlations were also found, between the variables Health Locus of Control and Physicals self. The study showed that the programme a student was participating in, only could explain a students Exercise habits. The result also showed that a students Food habits only could be explained by how the student think of their body and their appearance.

Ländryggssmärta hos piloter inom kommersiell luftfart, en tvärsnittsstudie. Low back pain among commercial flying pilots, a cross-sectional study.Bryngelsson, Sofie, Jönsson, Elin January 2020 (has links)
Background.Low back pain is common among commercial flying pilots and may possibly be a reason for future long- term sick leave. Possible influencing factors are the number of working years and exercise habits. There are few studies researching commercial flying pilots. Purpose. To describe the prevalence of low back pain among commercial flying pilots and to investigate the risk of long- term sick leave. Furthermore, identify differences in the incidence of low back pain among pilots who has worked <10 compared to >10 years, as well as to investigate the correlation between low back pain and self-assessed exercise habits. Method.A cross-sectional study was conducted with a web survey. The survey initially consisted of self-designed questions followed by “Örebroformuläret kortversion” by Steven Linton. Results. The study contained 73 respondents, which corresponded to a response rate of 30%. A total of 57.5% of the 73 respondents indicated that they had low back pain, of which the majority had been suffering for over a year. The results showed that the pilots who had low back pain had no risk of long-term sick leave. There was a difference in the incidence of low back pain in those who worked over compared to under ten years (p=0.017). The correlation between exercise habits and the incidence of low back pain was not statistically significant (r=0.03), (p=0.08). Conclusion. The prevalence of nonspecific low back pain in commercial flying pilots was high and seemed to increase with the number of working years. Further research needs to investigate which factors contribute to the high incidence of nonspecific low back pain.

Redukce hmotnosti u plně zaměstnaných osob / Body mass reduction in fully employed personsChvostek, Lukáš January 2020 (has links)
Title: Weight reduction in full-time employees Objectives: The aim of the work is to find out, by means of a search of domestic, foreign literature and scientific works, and the subsequent elaboration of a survey sheet. Interventions leading to weight reduction in adults fully working overweight or obese, and subsequent individualization of the intervention lasting 4 weeks, leading to weight reduction. Methods: The theoretical part will be a search of Internet resources, which will be obtained from the server PubMed and Google Scholar, and combined with available literary resources. In the practical part of the diploma thesis, data collection will be carried out using a survey. The survey will be created specifically for this research based on information from the theoretical part. The aim of the survey will be to record the weekly program of full-time employees with a focus on the composition and timing of meals and physical activity. The obtained data are processed using the spreadsheet program Microsoft office Excel 2013. The record of weekly intake and distribution of food will be evaluated using the Internet portal Caloric Table, where the intake in kJ was mapped for each proband. From the survey sheet, the meal record will be transferred to the calorie tables, where the equivalent of kJ and...

Antropologický profil dětí s diagnózou ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). / Anthropological profile of children with diagnosis ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).Uhlířová, Jaromíra January 2012 (has links)
This final thesis deals with the anthropological profile of children with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), which is one of the most common psychiatric diagnoses in childhood. Many studies have demonstrated the relationship of ADHD to differences in physical growth, mostly in terms of growth retardation and lower weight parameters. However, these differences are often associated with the use of pharmacological treatment. Some authors point to the possibility of the influence of ADHD itself. In this paper we compare the anthropometric parameters of the 40 boys with ADHD from 6.00 to 10.99 years of age who are treated with medication (methylphenidate) and 172 boys of control group. The compilation of control group for use in clinical research of ADHD was one of the objectives of the thesis. We also compared anamnestic data obtained using questionnaires. It provided information such as birth parameters, duration of breastfeeding, eating habits, amount of time spent in physical activity, or time spent watching television. The control group of healthy individuals was established to better reflect the somatic profile of recent child population and also provided the anamnestic data. Against currently used growth standards control group showed some significant differences, which could be...
