Marketing verde e a propaganda ecológica: uma análise da estrutura da comunicação em anúncios impressos / Green marketing and the ecological advertisement: an analysis of the structure of the communication in announcements printed matters "

Guimarães, Antonio Fernando 27 June 2006 (has links)
This work presents an analysis of a sample of printed environmental ads attained from companies of several economic sectors. The purpose was to analyse the implicit structure of such an ads; its environmental appeals; the depth of the ecologic matter was treated by the researched companies. It satarts with a careful analysis of the theory concerning the social responsibility; the strategic and operational marketing concepts; the societal marketing and the relationship of the integrated marketing communications and the green marketing. As analytical framework was used a convenience sample of printed ads and by a multivariate data analysis using the MDS – Multidimensional Scalling technic, a perceptual mapping was built to positioning the companies in terms of similarity judments. Another multivariate technic – Hyerarchical Cluster Analysis – was used as to define, in the perceptual mapping, the clusters that contain the companies that was characterized as to be homogeneous among themselves.

If the enterprise wants to maintain the competence, and have the sustainable management, it should take the environmental issue as a new opportunity and start to do the green marketing and the green advertisement to attract the consumers. The previous research about the influence of Ad appeals on the Ad effect is more related to the comparison between rational appeal and emotional appeal, but it still lack consistent result. Besides, the research on the Ad effect of Cause Related Marketing has just focused on CRM Ad but lack the study of Green Ad. Therefore, this study would take the influence of different Ad appeals and CRM on the green Ad effect and would have a study on the bottled water. The present study uses experimental design to investigate the effects of the types of Ad appeals (emotional appeal and moral appeal) and CRM (with and without) on green Ad effect. And a 2X2 factorial design is conducted. The results indicate that in the green Ad of the bottled water, the influence of rational appeal and emotional appeal on Ad effect is no significantly different. The green Ad effects with CRM and without CRM are no significantly different. The modifying effect of Ad with and without CRM is working in Ad attitude,is not working in brand attitude and purchasing intention.

: A study of consumers attitudes and interpretations towards green advertisements

Högberg, Ellen, Håkansson, Patricia January 2018 (has links)
The fashion industry has been characterized by an awareness of the industry's pollution and its environmental-related sustainability issues. As a result, there has been an implementation of sustainability within the textile value chain. To attract new and existing customers to their more sustainable products, fashion companies continuously work with formulating messages containing environmental claims. However, it has been found that this is a difficult message to convey and it is even harder for companies to get their consumers to trust, perceive and receive the information communicated when consumers have a skeptic attitude towards green marketing. In order to create an understanding of the underlying causes of this problem, this study investigates consumers attitudes and interpretations of green advertisements from fashion companies. This study takes shape through a qualitative research method which compares if there are differences between the attitudes and interpretations from consumers of different age groups. The research has been conducted through four focus group interviews consisting of a total of 18 respondents. Nine of the respondents were in the ages of 22-25 and the remaining nine were in the ages of 45-58. The results of the study indicate that there are both similarities and differences between how consumers of different age groups interpret green advertisement and what attitudes they form against the advertised messages. The study shows that these similarities and differences of consumers attitudes are based on the formation of the advertisement. The formation also has an impact on how consumers interpret the green advertisements, if they are perceived as more or less environmentally friendly, and if consumers perceive the green advertisements as credible.

Consumer Perception of Sustainability : A cross-cultural study of green advertisement in the automobile industry between Japanese and Swedish consumers.

Nagaoka, Vanessa January 2023 (has links)
As sustainability becomes a pressing issue, companies are increasingly adopting green advertising strategies to promote their products and increase consumer awareness. However, the effectiveness of these advertisements across different cultural backgrounds are often overlooked. In light of this, the research addresses two questions: (1) What are the characteristics of successful green advertisements in Japan and Sweden? and (2) How should Japanese and Swedish companies in the automobile industry design and deploy green advertisements to optimize the effect? To answer these questions, the research involved data analysis on green advertisements to understand key themes and develop survey samples. The survey was then conducted to examine the impact of cultural and green messages on participants' perceptions. The main findings indicate that both Japanese and Swedish participants perceive green advertisements with a soft-sell and single-message approach more appealing. However, when it comes to cultural messages, more Japanese participants showed positive attitudes towards green advertisements with high-context messages than Swedish participants with low-context messages.
