Electronic Flight Bag pro IPad / Electronic Flight Bag for IPad

Černý, Tomáš January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with the EFB systems, its standards, types and modes of operation. It describes the design and implementation of an Apple iPad application, intended to be used as an EFB by the Czech general aviation pilots. The real utilization of such application allows for simplification of the preflight check and safe execution of flight while removing the usual load of paper documents from the cockpit. This is achieved through a SW im- plementation of operationally attractive functions. It could be for example: searching in regulations and pilot's handbooks, acquisition and viewing of meteorological informations and recent changes in air traffic, interactive calculation of important parameters or flight navigation.

Automatisera konfigurationen av routrar och switchar på ett IT-tjänsteföretag

Boularbah, Mohamed January 2020 (has links)
The anonymous company is an IT company that performs IT services according to customer needs. They got an internet provider as a customer about a couple of months ago. They manage the configuration of the ISP's routers and switches, which are then sent to the ISP's corporate customers. The work involves upgrading operating systems on routers and switches as well as adding files and then sending the product to the ISP’s end customer. Files and operating systems differ depending on the type of router and switch to be upgraded. The working method today is inefficient and there can be some errors when working with USB memory sticks today. The goal of this work is to improve and make their operation more effective by storing all files on a TFTP server instead of on USB storage. A script will be created with the language VB script that automates the configuration of routers and switches. The terminal for communicating with the router/switch is SecureCrt. Staff at the company have said that it takes on average about 15 minutes to manually configure a router. You only configure one at a time due to quality assurance and you have to sit in front of the screen throughout the process when configuring manually. The result of my work led to an efficiency improvement. The time it takes to configure a router ends at the same time, about 15 minutes, however, you can run several units simultaneously but because of lack of space, they can run a maximum of two at a time, while not having to sit in front of the screen as the script handles all configuration. It also led to lesser errors as you do not have to look for the correct USB memory for the corresponding device.

3D Augmented Reality Mobile Application Prototype for Visual Planning Support / Mobil 3D Augmented Reality  Applikationsprototyp för Visuellt Planeringsstöd Godkänd från AnnMari och mig!

Fombuena Valero, Arnau January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to implement a prototype of a 3D Augmented Reality mobile application. Using 3D is becoming more and more common for professionals as well as users. A good example of that is Google Earth and its 3D view. Implementing a mobile application that takes advantage of 3D and Augmented Reality may be very useful for planning new constructions in both urban and non-urban areas allowing to visualize how the construction will be in the future and how it will interact with its surrounding environment. There is a great potential for such kind of applications. An example could be the modification of a certain area of a city; allowing the inhabitants of that city to preview the project and, hopefully, avoiding unnecessary conflicts related to that project. In non-urban areas this application is also very useful for helping decision making by visualizing, on site, how the project will be and its impact on the environment. In order to preview a future construction there is the need to have a 3D model. Therefore, a 3D format for that model is necessary. Since COLLADA is a 3D standard interexchange format it is used in this thesis. Together with COLLADA, the computer graphics imagery and gaming technology called OpenGL ES 2.0 is used. Using COLLADA and OpenGL ES 2.0 combined with the properties of the views’ layers, the camera input, the sensors in the mobile device and the positioning technologies permit obtaining successful results displaying a 3D object in an Augmented Reality mobile prototype application. Interface elements are implemented as well in order to bring basic usability tools. The results show the advantages of combining technologies in a mobile device and the problems derived from the low accuracy in positioning in such kind of devices. Thus, ideas for improving the positioning accuracy are discussed as well.

Skiftet Mot PWA Inom Applikationsutveckling : En analys av PWA vs. native applikation / The Shift Towards PWA in Application Development : An Analysis of PWA versus Native Application

Nylander, Karl, Trulsson Wallin, Erik January 2021 (has links)
With mobile usage on the rise developers are more than ever faced with the issue of developing for multiple platforms. With Google's introduction of Progressive Web Applications (PWA) it is possible to build app-like web applications that can run on any platform. This study aims to investigate if PWA is mature enough to replace an already developed native iOS application. Specifically it aims to investigate if a PWA can achieve the same functionality and security as a native application, as well as what technologies are needed to do so.  To verify this question an iOS application called iHug developed by a software company called Cloud Enablers was used as a reference point. With this reference a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) copy was developed as a PWA to verify that the functionality could be achieved. This PWA was not intended to replace the existing native application, but instead coexist with it. That means that the PWA must be able to communicate with the original application. In addition an investigation was done to see what measures needed to be taken to achieve security. The results showed that the same functionality was achievable, as was the security. Even though the results are promising, due to the native application not being developed with a PWA in mind there was a lot of extra work that had to be done to replicate certain functionalities and SDK choices. On this basis, while it is certainly possible to achieve the same functionality it is much harder to do so when the counterpart was not developed to be able to communicate with a PWA.

Security and privacy aspects of mobile applications for post-surgical care

Meng, Xianrui 22 January 2016 (has links)
Mobile technologies have the potential to improve patient monitoring, medical decision making and in general the efficiency and quality of health delivery. They also pose new security and privacy challenges. The objectives of this work are to (i) Explore and define security and privacy requirements on the example of a post-surgical care application, and (ii) Develop and test a pilot implementation Post-Surgical Care Studies of surgical out- comes indicate that timely treatment of the most common complications in compliance with established post-surgical regiments greatly improve success rates. The goal of our pilot application is to enable physician to optimally synthesize and apply patient directed best medical practices to prevent post-operative complications in an individualized patient/procedure specific fashion. We propose a framework for a secure protocol to enable doctors to check most common complications for their patient during in-hospital post- surgical care. We also implemented our construction and cryptographic protocols as an iPhone application on the iOS using existing cryptographic services and libraries.
