The topics of his songs and poems focus on the appreciation of the backwoods and country culture. He does this contrasting ethos and vision of traditional and modern world. By making this contrast, the artist notes that the interior is modern branded by a hegemonic discourse of late, wilderness, barbarian, among others. Thus, this modern discourse rejects and silences other discourses-explanatory that are not within their assumptions as the philosophical, theological and popular. According to Boaventura de Sousa Santos (2010), this silencing can be designated as epistemicide. Thus, the musician denounces in his art this process of modernization and epistemício engendered by modernity. However, while Elomar makes this complaint he cannot stray of modern rationality, because he keeps the Cartesian dualism as he keeps, for example, a separation between town and country, featuring the first as the site of inhumanity, the prevalence of demonic precepts and the second as the place of redemption, the encounter with God. Moreover, despite the musician in his speech reject modernity, it is possible to observe several modern influences in his life and work as a Protestant orientation and his taste for opera. That is why we think that the work of Elomar Figueira Mello can be characterized as being in a cultural border, in a place in-between. / A obra de Elomar Figueira Mello surgiu no final dos anos 1960. Os temas de suas canções e poesias focam a valorização do sertão e da cultura sertaneja. Faz isso contrastando os ethos e visões de mundo tradicionais e modernos. Ao fazer esse contraste, o artista observa que o sertão é tachado por um discurso moderno hegemônico de atrasado, ermo, bárbaro, dentre outros. Com isso, esse discurso moderno rejeita e silencia outros discursos-explicativos que não estão dentro de seus pressupostos como o filosófico, o teológico e o popular. De acordo com Boaventura de Sousa Santos (2010), esse silenciamento pode ser designado como epistemicídio. Assim, o músico denuncia em sua arte esse processo de modernização e o epistemício engendrado pela modernidade. Todavia, ao mesmo tempo em que Elomar faz essa denúncia, não consegue se desgarrar da racionalidade moderna, pois mantém o dualismo cartesiano ao fazer, por exemplo, uma separação entre cidade e campo, caracterizando a primeira como o local da desumanidade, da prevalência dos preceitos demoníacos e a segunda como o local da redenção, do encontro com Deus. Além disso, apesar do músico rejeitar em seu discurso a modernidade, é possível observarmos várias influências modernas em sua vida e obra como sua orientação protestante e seu gosto pela ópera. Por isso é que pensamos que a obra de Elomar Figueira Mello pode ser caracterizada como estando em uma fronteira cultural, em um entre-lugar.

A negociação coletiva e o intervalo intrajornada / Collective bargaining and the intra-day interval

O presente trabalho tem como escopo o estudo da Portaria nº 42 de 28/03/2007 do Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego que determina a redução do intervalo intrajornada por meio da negociação coletiva. O artigo 71, parágrafo 3º da Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho condiciona a redução de referido intervalo ao preenchimento de determinados requisitos. Com a edição da Portaria º42, o Ministério do Trabalho delegou aos atores sociais a possibilidade de eles próprios estipularem intervalo menor do que o previsto em lei, desde que respeitadas determinadas condições, sob de pena considera-se a violação como hora extra. Para enfrentar tão fascinante tema, buscar-se-á conciliar a autonomia coletiva, importante fonte de regulamentação das relações trabalhistas, e o instituto do intervalo intrajornada, tido como de ordem publica, tanto que para o Tribunal Superior do Trabalho é inválida tal negociação (Orientação Jurisprudencial nº 342, I da Seção de Dissídios Individuais 1). / This paper aims to study the Ordinance nº. 42, 28/03/2007 of the Ministry of Labor determines that the reduction in the range intrajornada through collective bargaining. Article 71, Paragraph 3º of the Consolidation of Labor Laws affects the reduction of this interval to fill certain requirements. With the issue of Ordinance nº 42, the Ministry of Labor has delegated to social actors the opportunity to lay down their own smaller range than provided by law, provided that certain conditions, under the penalty is considered rape as overtime. To meet such a fascinating subject, the aim will be to reconcile the collective autonomy, an important source of regulation of labor relations, and the Institute of intrajornada range, believed to be of public, so that for the Superior Labor Court is invalid such negotiations (Case Law Guidance nº 342, Section I).

A diferença dos sexos: Lacan e o feminismo / The difference between the sexes: Lacan and feminism

Este trabalho investiga o debate estabelecido entre a psicanálise lacaniana e os estudos feministas e de gênero a respeito da diferença dos sexos, assim como os desdobramentos que a teoria da sexuação de Lacan pode trazer para esse tema. Examinamos a obra de autoras do feminismo francês indispensáveis para a pesquisa desta interface, no caso os de Irigaray, Cixous, Montrelay, Kristeva e Wittig tais trabalhos, notadamente edificantes do movimento da escrita feminina, verificamos terem repercutido decisivamente tanto em Lacan quanto nos estudos de gênero contemporâneos. Investigamos a obra de Robert Stoller, a introdução do termo gender nesse contexto e o desenvolvimento de sua teoria do núcleo de identidade de gênero, a ser debatida por Lacan no seminário XVIII e que constatamos ter sido determinante para o estabelecimento de sua noção de semblante. Detectamos que o lacanismo incorporado em solo norte- americano foi aquele que se voltou para o estruturalismo de Lévi-Strauss e as relações de parentesco, evidente nas obras de Rubin e Butler. Comprovamos que as críticas a Lacan giraram principalmente em torno das noções correlatas ao registro simbólico e seu suposto caráter apolítico e ahistórico, o que obrigou defensores da psicanálise a se pronunciar. Sob a hipótese de que a sexuação lacaniana poderia trazer novos ares para esta discussão, concluímos que tratar do falo enquanto função, da teoria dos gozos e de derivações dos aforismos Não há relação sexual e A mulher não existe, a partir de recursos da lógica, da teoria dos números e dos conjuntos, acabaram por revigorar o entendimento lacaniano da diferença dos sexos, que se esquiva das prescrições heteronormativas e da binaridade dos gêneros / This thesis looks into the debate established between lacanian psychoanalysis and feminist and gender studies on the difference between the sexes, as well as the developments that Lacan\'s theory of sexuation can bring to this theme. We examine the fundamental french feministss works that deal with this interface, in the case Irigaray´s, Cixouss, Montrelays, Kristevas and Wittigs. Those works, especially edifying of the feminine writing movement, have had a decisive impact on both Lacan and in contemporary gender studies. We examined the work of Robert Stoller, the introduction of the term gender in this context, and the development of his \"core gender identity\" theory, to be criticized by Lacan in the seminar XVIII, and which we have found to be determinant in establishing the lacanian notion of semblant. We verified that the lacanian strand incorporated in United States of America was the one that turned to Levi-Strauss\'s structuralism and kinship relations, as we see in the works of Rubin and Butler. We realized that the criticisms to Lacan were about his notions established through the symbolic register and its supposed apolitical and ahistorical character, which compelled proponents of psychoanalysis to react. Under the hypothesis that the lacanian sexuation could move this discussion forward, we concluded that dealing with the phallus as a function, the theory of jouissance and derivations of the aphorisms \"There is no sexual relation\" and \"The woman does not exist\", from logic field, number theory and set theory resources, finally invigorated the lacanian understanding of difference between the sexes, which escapes heteronormative prescriptions and gender binarity

Formação docente e racionalidade instrumental: reflexões sobre a psicologia a partir do depoimento de professores / Teacher education and instrumental rationality: reflections about the psychology from the statement of teachers

O tema formação de professores tem sido foco de inúmeras pesquisas e trabalhos publicados nas áreas da Educação e da Psicologia. Dos vários elementos que compõem a formação do educador, um se refere à obrigatoriedade da disciplina Psicologia da Educação no currículo dos cursos de magistério, licenciatura ou Pedagogia. Os estudos sobre o tema, geralmente, tratam da análise da estrutura dos currículos e de novas estratégias para o ensino dessa ciência. Entretanto, a compreensão da maneira como a Psicologia se configura na formação docente, a partir da reflexão do educador, ainda não se constituiu como uma linha de pesquisa. Neste contexto, este estudo teve por objetivo investigar como a Psicologia está presente na formação e no trabalho pedagógico de professores a partir de sua própria análise. Buscou, especificamente, compreender a apropriação e a avaliação do professor do que lhe foi ensinado sobre Psicologia ao longo de sua formação e suas expectativas com relação a este saber. Para tanto, sete professores de uma escola municipal pública de ensino fundamental I e da educação de jovens e adultos da cidade de São Paulo foram entrevistados. A coleta de depoimentos foi feita em três fases: conversa inicial não gravada, entrevista gravada semi-dirigida sobre a biografia profissional do docente e discussão gravada do depoimento com o entrevistado. A leitura das entrevistas levou à constituição de quatro categorias de análise: 1. A relação do depoente com a Psicologia; 2. Como ela se apresenta em sua formação; 3. A realidade da escola pública atual; e 4. A relação entre teoria e prática. Esta última tornou-se o eixo de discussão sobre a formação docente em Psicologia, uma vez que perpassa todas as outras categorias. Verificou-se que os professores aprenderam uma psicologia que fundamenta a expectativa do ensino individualizado, com base na relação dual professor-aluno, e que, na formação do educador, ela configura-se como instrumento técnico-prático de eficiência pedagógica. A teoria, nesse sentido, é entendida como razão instrumental, pragmática e utilitarista. As reflexões deste estudo apontam para a necessidade de se discutir a construção de um outro espaço para a Psicologia na formação docente, que rompa com o modelo essencialmente tecnicista. / The theme teacher education has been the focus of uncounted researches and essays published in the areas of Education and Psychology. From the various elements that compose the education of the educator, one is related to the obligatoriness of the subject Psychology of Education in the curriculum of the mastership courses, graduation or Pedagogy. Generally, the studies about the theme talk about the structure of the curriculum and the new teaching strategies of this science. However, the comprehension about the way the psychology is configured in teacher education, based on the educator reflection, has not been constituted as a research line yet. In this context, this study had as primary aim, investigate how the Psychology is present in the teachers’ education and pedagogical work, based on their own analysis. It seek, specifically, understand the teacher’s appropriation and the evaluation of what was taught to them about Psychology during their education, and their expectancies in relation to this knowledge. For this, seven teachers from a municipal public school of elementary and adult and youth education in the city of São Paulo were interviewed. The data collection was developed in three phases: an initial non-recorded talk, a recorded semi-structured interview about the teacher’s professional biography, and recorded discussion of the interviewed statement. The reading of the interviews led to the constitution of four categories of analysis: 1. The relation between the deponent and the Psychology; 2. How it is presented in his/her education; 3. The actual reality of the public school; and 4. The relation between theory and practical. The last one became the pivot of discussion about the teacher education in Psychology, once it goes through all the other categories. It was verified that the teachers learnt a kind of Psychology that justify the expectancy of individualized teaching, having as basis the dual relation between teacher-student, and that, in the teacher education, it is configured as a technical-practical instrument of pedagogical efficiency. The theory, in this meaning, is understood as instrumental reason, pragmatic and utilitarian. The reflections of this study indicate the necessity of discussing the construction of another space to the Psychology in the teacher education that disrupt with the technicist model primarily.

Foram estudados prospectivamente os linfonodos, em 19 pacientes com adenocarcinoma de reto distal através de tomografia pélvica e linfocintilografia pélvica e realizado o estudo comparativo dos métodos, tendo como base à anatomia patológica e o estadiamento clinico-cirúrgico. Foram comparados os exames obtendo-se que os métodos não são concordantes. E a linfocintilografia é método mais sensível para linfonodos do que a tomografia / They were studied prospectivamente the lymph nodes, in 19 patient with adenocarcinoma of distal rectum through pelvic tomography and pelvic lymphoscintigraphy and accomplished the comparative study of the methods, having as based to the pathological anatomy and the staging practise-surgical. O cenário de grandes transformações do mundo atual fez com que autores consagrados como C. K. Prahalad, Gary Hamel e Peter F. Drucker reconhecessem que os modelos estratégicos vigentes estariam encontrando dificuldades para oferecer racionalidades adequadas para se lidar com o problema da mudança nas sociedades e nas organizações de produção contemporâneas. Para parcela significativa da produção científica recente na área, a problemática em tela se deve, em grande medida, à fragmentação teórica e à especialização decorrente do uso intensivo de abordagens prescritivas nas Ciências Administrativas. Este cenário conduz à necessidade de se repensar os correntes arcabouços conceituais. Neste sentido, o presente esforço de pesquisa tem por objetivo desenvolver uma sintetize dos aspectos internos e externos da dinâmica do problema estratégico, a partir de abordagens aderentes à teoria da Complexidade. Para tal, foi realizado um esforço de revisão conceitual embasado em análise do problema, segundo a metodologia fenomenológica de Husserl. Os resultados foram submetidos a um procedimento analógico realizado por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica nas literaturas que tratam da complexidade em outros sistemas teóricos próprios, especialmente os da Biologia. Como resultado, identificou-se que as organizações são produto de acoplamentos entre dois ou mais sistemas distintos que, por sua vez, se acoplam ao sócio-sistema humano e estes, por sua vez, ao restante da dinâmica planetária. Em última análise, esta configuração nutre forte analogia com as dinâmicas baseadas na simbiose, encontradas nos estudos mais recentes da biologia que, ao que o estudo indica, podem se transformar em uma inspiradora, importante e útil analogia para o aperfeiçoamento dos arcabouços teóricos em gestão estratégia. / Major Changes in today´s world has made renowned authors such as C. K. Prahalad, Gary Hamel and Peter F. Drucker recognized that the existing strategic models are not providing reasonable and adequate solutions to deal with the society changing problems and with the contemporary production organizations. For a significant portion of the recent scientific output in this area, the issue faced is due to, in most of it, the theoretical fragmentation and the specialization resulting from the intensive use of prescriptive approaches in Administrative Sciences. This scenario leads to the need of rethinking the current conceptual frameworks. This study, in particular, addresses the concepts related to the strategic problem of which we highlight the dynamics behind the problem, results of the aforementioned organizational changes which are characteristic of a contemporary society. For this, the present research effort aims to develop a summarized study of the internal and external aspects of dynamic strategic problems and, taking as a starting point the approaches inherent in the complexity theory. To achieve this, an effort was made to review the concept behind the problem analysis, according to Husserl´s phenomenological methodology. The results were submitted to an analog procedure, bibliographical research on the literatures that deals with complexity in other theoretical systems, especially in biology. As a result, it was found that organizations are products of couplings between two or more separate systems, which will couple to the socio-­human system, and these, to the rest of the planetary dynamics. As a last analysis, this configuration has strong analogy with the dynamics based on symbiosis, found in recent biology; this study suggests that it can become an inspiring, important and useful metaphor for the improvement of the theoretical frameworks in management strategy.

Population genetics and conservation strategies for the West Indian manatee (Trichechus manatus Linnaeaus,1758) in Brazil

Both species have been hunted commercially since the sixteenth century, resulting in a drastic reduction or elimination of manatees in some places. This hunting pressure may have caused isolation of the populations resulting in geographic genetic isolation, with a reduction of their genetic diversity. The objective of this study is to understand the genetic diversity and population structure of the West Indian manatee (T. manatus) in Brazil; verify the existence of hybridization between the manatees T. manatus and T. inungus; define the degree of relatedness of individuals in captivity; and provide strategies for the conservation of the species. In northeastern Brazil, a large number of dependent calves strand on beaches. Many of these calves have been rescued alive and rehabilitated for future release. Previously, the identification of release sites did not take into account the genetic issues. Through this study, it has been possible to identify suitable release sites based on phylogenetic traits of the manatees. The genetic structure of the population was studied using nuclear DNA in the program STRUCTURE, and comparing FST and RST values. On the Northeast coast one population was identified, which is subdivided in two subpopulations. A different genetic population was found in the Northwest of the Amazon River estuary (extreme north of Brazil, Guyana and Venezuelan). Manatees from the Estuary of the Amazon River grouped with Amazonian manatees from the Santarém region to form a third population. A total of four manatee Management Units were identified along the Brazilian coast, which should be treated separately for management and conservation needs. Using a combination of molecular markers (mtDNA and nDNA) and cytogenetic analyses the existence of hybridization between T. manatus and T inunguis was confirmed, although this does not appear to be a frequent occurrence. Some of the dependent calves rescued, and other individuals transferred from irregular captive conditions to the CMA/ICMBio, were kept together and breeding occurred. Maintaining related manatees together can lead to inbreeding. It was possible 29 to establish the degree of relatedness between individuals kept at CMA/ICMBio and verify the extistence of inbreeding. To avoid inbreeding, hybridization, and overpopulation in captivity, it is necessary that males and females be separated immediately, thereby preventing reproduction ex-situ. The present study allows us to establish actions for the conservation of the West Indian manatee. Actions that should be prioritized include: protection and restoration of habitat with the creation and implementation of specific protected areas; creation and maintenance of travel corridors that allow gene flow; reduction and elimination of anthropogenic pressures on the species; stopping pointless reproduction in captivity; designing further studies in the north of Brazil to better understand the hybridization and implement the action plan.

Le cinéma d’Atom Egoyan présente la particularité d’être difficilement classable, par son obstination à maintenir son caractère "fermé", sans craindre d’explorer ses possibilités dans des champs cinématographiques divers. Le sentiment de perte de sens, qui traverse l’organisation de son œuvre, semble jouer le rôle le plus important quant à la réception de ses films. La recherche essaye de commenter son univers filmique captivant, préférant l’examiner par l’autre côté, là où il se tait et se cache, tout en empêchant la lecture lucide d’une analyse filmique. Se fondant d’abord sur le rôle capital du découpage, nous essayons de comprendre comment le cinéaste canadien bâtit son univers aporétique, à l’aide de toute sorte de figure de juxtaposition. Essayer d’assimiler la construction d’un tel univers d’observer comment les personnages, finalement, y vivent. Lutter contre l’inquiétude, qui touche parfois même la terreur, équivaut, chez Egoyan à la lutte de ses personnages contre le découpage. La perte de sens, ne pourrait qu’être le résultat d’une vérité filmique désarmée. / Atom Egoyan’s cinema is special in that it is not easily classifiable, since it manages to retain its ‘closed’ character while, at the same time, not afraid to explore its potential in various cinematic fields. The organization of his work is permeated by the sense of losing ‘sense’, which is a characteristic of modernism, and seems to be playing an important role in the way his films are shot. This research attempts to comment on his fascinating cinematic universe, daring to examine its other side, the one which, as it remains hidden and silent, resists straightforward filmic analysis. Based on the predominant role of decoupage in his films, we attempt to understand how the Canadian director constructs his paradoxical universe, employing all kinds of juxtapositional forms. Attempting to assimilate the construction of such a universe can have but one objective, and that is to observe how its characters inhabit it. Toiling against anxiety which sometimes borders on terror is equivalent in Egoyan’s work with the struggle of his characters against decoupage. The loss of ‘sense’ is nothing if not the result of a disarmed cinematic truth.

Arbete i grupp under matematiklektioner : Lärares förhållningssätt till samarbetsinlärning / Cooperative learning in mathematics: : Teachers approach to cooperative learning

Utifrån ett intresse att söka reda på vad som krävs för att samarbetsinlärning ska utveckla alla elevers färdigheter så fokuserar denna studie på fyra lärares förhållningssätt till arbete i grupp inom matematikämnet. Detta med bakgrund i teorin om att samarbetsinlärning fördjupar elevernas kunskaper. För att få en djupare förståelse för samarbetsinlärning så lyfts även tidigare forskning och teoretiska texter. Resultatet visar att de deltagande lärarna finner det svårt att se att arbete i grupp som en metod som fungerar för alla elever. Lärarna påpekar att det krävs mycket av läraren och den sociala miljön för att en sådan metod ska gynna alla elever. I övrigt så finns det likheter mellan tidigare litteratur och verksamma lärares förhållningssätt när det handlar om de fördelar som kommer utav att eleverna får kommunicera om matematik. / Based upon an interest to learn about what it takes to make collaborative learning promote every students abilities this study focuses on four teachers beliefs about students working together in mathematics. Drawing upon theories that concludes that cooperative learning develops students’ mathematical skills. To broaden the view of the teachers’ opinion this study also reflects upon the differences and similarities between the theory that cooperative learning is beneficial, the results of earlier research studies and teachers beliefs. While the theory about students working together is positive about cooperative learning develops all students mathematical abilities, the teachers find it hard to see that one method can be constructive to all students especially because of the social circumstances’. Trade-offs and Conflicts Between Quality Attributes

It is next to impossible to let a day go by without coming into contact with a computer system in some way, either by direct usage, or making a telephone call that is directed by computer systems. Due to the importance of computer systems we are all concerned with their quality, directly or indirectly, a malfunctioning system will disturb our lives in more or less drastic ways. Each stakeholder promotes his qualities and priorities for the system, and this will eventually lead to conflict, depending on relations between qualities. There is no simple solution to the problem of relating and conflicting quality attributes. But by making an informed decision it is possible to soften the effects of the trade-offs and gain a higher level of total software quality. The way to make an informed decision is to have knowledge about the relations between quality attributes along with insights of the consequences of the decision. This report gives a short introduction to the problem, and surveys both the relations stated within academia, and industry. The intention is to explore the knowledge present within academia and collect and present the established relations found by researchers. Further this report presents a survey carried out at companies working in different areas with software engineering, to show which relations that are visible to industry and how they are handling the relations between quality attributes. This gathered knowledge intends to support the ambition towards higher quality in software engineering.
