OF THE THESIS Name: Mgr. Markéta Šídová Specialization: Adiktologie Head of the thesis: Mgr. Lenka Šťastná, Ph.D. Pages: 145 The name of thesis: Tobacco smoking and motivation to change in relation to pregnancy Abstract: Background: The pregnancy gives the smoking women the opportunity to change their attitude to smoking tobacco. In the Czech Republic is still missing a study describing the motivation to change smoking specifically in connection with pregnancy. Goals: Describe the basic motivation to stop smoking by pregnant women. Methods: Quantitative survey. The questionnaire consists of four sections (anamnesis, gathering information about smoking during pregnancy, motivation to change smoking behaviour, Fagerström Test of Nicotine Dependence). Motivation section is inspired by Reasons for Quiting Scale (RFQ). Evaluation using the descriptive statistics and non-parametric statistical tests. File: The study analyses two sets of pregnant women - electronic (collection via web form, N = 96) and clinical (collection from the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, 1st Faculty of Medicine and VFN, N = 40). The files are divided into 4 subgroups according to the current smoking behaviour. Results: Most women in both groups do not smoke and have never smoked or stopped in connection with pregnancy....

Publikování bibliografických informací v souladu s principy linked data / Publishing of bibliographic information according to the Linked Data principlesHladká, Jitka January 2010 (has links)
Bibliographic data provide well established means of the information resource description. Nowadays, there is obvious need to make this data more web-friendly and web-compatible, while web is mostly seen as the only place where people are seeking information. The proposed solution is to change the traditional bibliographic data representation format. Semantic Web initiative presents enhancement of the current web with machine processable data semantics (meaning). The main goal is to manage more effective information processing by web applications that brings up many benefits for web users. Linked data are seen as practical means to reach the semantic web vision. This initiative promotes best practices of publishing, connecting and sharing structural data on the web. This thesis reports the transformation of bibliographic records' format in case of Database of publishing activities at University of Economics, Prague (PCVSE). Benefits of linked data publishing model are demonstrated on the realized projects. The main part describes practical experiences gained during the implementation of RDF framework in phases of data modelling, interlinking and exposing the dataset. The linked data publishing model is seen there as an optimal web-compatible bibliographic data representation format.

Internet a analýza chování českého internetového uživatele / The Internet and analysis of a Czech Internet user behaviourKočí, Michal January 2010 (has links)
This diploma thesis describes the Internet as a medium which offers a wide spectrum of services, information, possibilities and furthermore as an omnipotent tool for searching information. This modern medium is specified, characterized, described and defined. The diploma thesis indicates what the Internet includes and what services it offers. Main concepts and options of searching and acquiring information are indicated as well. The practical part of the diploma thesis includes realization and following evaluation of a question-form investigation, which characterizes behaviour of a Czech Internet user. The goal is to prepare a suitable question-form about the behaviour of Internet users, to distribute the question-form and to evaluate and analyze the modern Czech Internet user by utilizing the resulting data and other study material.

Emergence prostorových geometrií z kvantového entanglementu / Emergence of space geometries from quantum entanglementLukeš, Petr January 2019 (has links)
MASTER THESIS Petr Lukeš Emergence of space geometries from quantum entanglement Institute of Theoretical Physics Supervisor of the master thesis: Mgr. Martin Scholtz, Ph.D. Study programme: Physics Study branch: Theoretical physics Prague 2019 Abstract: Connecting the field of Quantum Physics and General Relativity is one of the main interests of contemporary Theoretical Physics. This work attempts to find solution to simplified version of this problem. Firstly entropy is shown to be a good meeting point between the two different theories. Then some of entropy's less intuitive properties are shown, namely its dependence on area, not volume. This relation is studied from both Relativistic and Quantum viewpoint. After- wards there is a short description of a quantum model interpretable as geometry based on the information between its subsystems. Lastly, results of computations within this model are presented.

Analýza volatility akciových indexů na evropských burzách / Analysis of the stock index volatility on European stock exchangesŠvehla, Pavel January 2011 (has links)
This thesis focuses on analysis and comparison of volatility on selected European stock markets. At first paper briefly introduces the reader to the specific features of financial econometrics and the importance of asset returns volatility analysis. Further chapters precisely cover the construction of linear and nonlinear conditional heteroscedasticity models as an appropriate tool for describing the volatility in financial data. The empirical part of the thesis analyze four stock exchange indices from various European regions and seek appropriate models to express volatility behavior in period before the financial crisis in 2008 and also during the crisis phase. Based on selected models, the paper tries to compare the volatility in both periods within the specific stock market index and moreover between different regions. The last section examines asymmetric effects in volatility of stock indices using their graphical representation.

Peníze, čas a informace: rakouský pohled / Money, Time and Information: An Austrian ApproachNohejl, Jiří January 2011 (has links)
Thesis "Money, Time and Information: An Austrian Approach" presents analysis on theory of money through classic view of Austrian economics which is combined with mutual dependence of system complexity, time and information. Money are considered as market emergent phenomena and therefore as its basic element. Spontaneous processes leads into origin of complex economic structures which are not static, but in constant evolution. Emerging complexity makes reduction of economic phenomena to aggregates or index numbers impossible. It is therefore important to comprehend these problems in context of structure and time in which structural change come into existence. This thesis emphasizes relation of money to informational and intertemporal role of prices and interest rate. This approach is then applied to possibility of monetary and regulatory policy to perceive all those complex interdependencies.

Analýza výstupů klimatických modelů / Analysis of Climate Model OutputsChládová, Zuzana January 2012 (has links)
Title: Analysis of Climate Model Outputs Author: RNDr. Zuzana Chládová E-mail: zuzana.chladova@gmail.com Department: Department of Meteorology and Environment Protection, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague Supervisor: RNDr. Aleš Raidl, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: ales.raidl@mff.cuni.cz Consultant: doc. RNDr. Jaroslava Kalvová, CSc. Regional climate models are currently the most important tools regularly used for downscaling outputs of global climate models. This analysis compares control and future runs of the global climate models HadCM3, ECHAM5/OPYC3 and ARPÉGE/OPA and the regional climate models RCAO, RCA3, HIRHAM4, HIRHAM5 and ALADIN- CLIMATE/CZ with observed data and CRU data for the Czech Republic. In the period 1961-1990, the global climate models underestimated the air temperature in comparison with corresponding virtual time series representing real data; mean annual courses and variance of the temperature, on the other hand, were simulated satisfactorily. The results of the regional climate models showed overestimation of the model temperature in winter season, while in other seasons the model temperatures corresponded better with real values and the results of simulation were generally more accurate in comparison with global climate models.
